Thanks from New Zealand for posting these photos which have stirred many memories. My great uncle was Arthur Burchill who ran Renown coaches and my grandfather Sidney Bracey was initially a tram driver and later a bus driver working out of Staple Hill and Lawrence Hill depots.

amazing i remember before wetherspoons and other companys it was a place to buy beds maybe kk bed centre ? grew up on acacia road some 40 years ago, a lot has changed for the worst sadly
