Someone once said "tell a man he cannot be saved by his own effort, his works, his money, whatever skills he may posses but only by Christ and Christ alone, he will hate you for the rest of his life". Pride keeps people from God.
Idk if this helps but I struggled with the gospel at first. Yes pride is a factor but for me the pride appeared to be fear. I was thinking that following the law makes perfect sense because God is so great and powerful and so magnificent that I couldn’t be let off the hook by just believing. I pretty much thought that I had to essentially martyr myself to come even a sliver close to proving myself. But as time and prayer went on, I was faced with more evidence from the Bible of how much of a merciful genius God is to have such a perfect plan of salvation. The gospel ensures no one can brag, all glory goes to God, and produces humility in the person by receiving unmerited forgiveness of sins. It’s jarring to the mind at first so I can remember and understand why so many people have a hard time trusting God even if they use the same vocabulary and say they trust God.
@@cmorton1002 Hallelujah sister finally someone who knows the truth. If anyone believes in their heart that good works are necessary for their salvation are basically saying that Jesus death on the cross was not enough to atone for our sins and redeem us. That to me would be considered heresy.
Yes. But that's only half. We don't earn grace. And don't earn forgiveness sure But if you don't change how you are living, bearing good fruits how then will people see that you believe?
@@dougmaverick3287Jesus' death was enough. 1 perfect eternal sacrifice. Catholics profess this at every Eucharist. I think it's a bit of a misconception that the church teaches a workz based salvation (note the church does NOT teach that). We have faith that our sins are forgiven just like any other Christian. But that doesn't mean we keep on sinning. When we do sin we confess and repent. Putting into action our faith. There isn't a quota to make or minimum.
Do you know that There are over 84 Bible verses that show you can lose your salvation ? You cannot just ignore them cos they don't fit in with your beliefs.
@christophermccall7202 it's ashamed the modern versions and KJV can't get together on this verse. Is it 'study' or is it 'diligent'? Yes, it's both. It should read 'study diligently'. So then can I "believe" in him, but become perhaps a mafia boss, taking advantage of other people, treating people poorly, & getting rich off of them, much like a lot of Catholic cartels & Italian mobsters? @@angelamcentee1277 No, the "Good Friday - Easter Sunday" paradigm does not hold. Read Mark 16 v 1 where the women buy spices after the Sabbath. Now look at Luke 23 v 56 where the women prepare spices and oils then rest on the Sabbath. Putting it all together we have the women buying spices AFTER a Sabbath, then prepare them before resting on a SECOND Sabbath. That's 3 days, right there. Matthew 28:1 v 1 in the ISV correctly translated the original Greek "After the Sabbaths, around dawn on the first day of the week ..." The YLT has the same - "sabbaths", plural. "Its too easy" Thats what they dont realize. Jesus said "my yoke is light, my burden, easy." And "the path to heaven is straight and narrow, and the path to hell is twisting and winding." How straight and narrow is faith alone? Very!
Not really, anyone can claim belief. “‘I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot. So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth.” Revelation 3:15-16
Former Romand Catholic here and this quote gave me chills. As I witness to Roman Catholics to the truth of the Sciptures, and how they completely destroy the RCC's false doctrine. The Gospel is found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 and Romans 10:9-10, as well as other passages in Scripture. Faith/belief alone in Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection is what saves us according to the Scriptures. It is so profoundly simple, yet simply profound. Man loves to add things and subtract things from this, and Galations 1 has stern warnings against preaching a false Gospel.
@andrewmarshall7569 exactly. I am 42 years old. I had a dream about the end of the world when I was 12. By the time I was 17, I got baptized, and started to read the Bible. When I read the Bible by myself, with no outside interpretation, it spoke to me and I knew that belief in christ was what saved us. But, like so many others, I listened to a man on the radio one day who said that faith alone doesn't save anyone. It completely destroyed what I had learned. They word it in such ways that they are able to subtley twist the truth of scripture. Finally, about 2 years ago, I was led back to the truth of the gospel. Now that I know what the deception is, I'll never fall back into it. Nothing can convince me that free grace is false.
@@TheologyForThought You are correct in your statement, but the verse you quoted really doesn't apply if we are talking about justification/being sealed by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption by believing in the Gospel (1 Cor. 15:1-4/Romans 10:9-10). The Church of Laodicea, mentioned in Revelation 3 is reminiscent of the modern churches who are "rich, and increased wiht goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked" (Rev.3:17), then they are told to "repent" in verse 19. "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." Revelation 3:20 KJV. As we see, these are the churches that preach a moral message, but do not have the Gospel in the Church. They have put Jesus outside of the door, which is why he is knocking. Just wanted to provide some context here.
@michaelklaus3633 The gospel is so easy even a child can understand. But people have made it that difficult by adding to it. Spilling lies from the pit of hell. It's by believing and trusting in his finished work alone that saves. The nanosecond one believes that he died was buried and on the 3rd day rose again they are sealed. Had it been works then Christ would not have gone to the cross.
@@xylsvos All of those verses say that by believing we are saved, but the only verse that talks about being born again (John 3:3-5) connects it to water (i.e. baptism) And I think it's pretty clear from the KJV in Acts 2:38 that we are baptized FOR the remission of sins. In 1 Peter 3:21 we are saved by Baptism, as the Ark saved Noah and his family from death. It's pretty clear when you don't interpret the whole Bible by Romans 4 and Ephesians 2 (i.e. that we are justified by Faith alone) and then deny the power of Baptism. Consider researching Lutheranism or Anglicanism, i.e. historic Protestant Christianity not Baptism-deniers who are just as heretical as any one else ignoring parts of the Bible
I was a practicing Noahide these past 2 years. Thanks to James' magnificent preaching, I came out of that movement and was saved on the 4th of December 2024, which was the best day of my life!! I was raised Catholic since birth and dragged to mass up until high school, when I refused to go any longer. After that, I was into New Age for many years, then lived a secular life until I became a Noahide (thanks a lot, Tovia Singer). James, I am eternally grateful for your ministry. Words cannot express. I binge watch your videos now and read my KJV daily, and pray constantly for wisdom. I love you!! You and Patrick are in my daily prayers. - Scarlett from Nevada. PS: I've gotten several inquiries about what a Noahide is. Basically, it is one who embraces the Jewish Scriptures, but is not a member of the Jewish nation. For more info, please Google it. 😊
Could you describe your experiences as a Noahide please? I've never heard of them until now. Sounds very interesting 😅 For more KJV goodies, go see Truth is Christ with Brandon Peterson. And then the prophetic codes of the 1611 KJB with Howard Elseth. Did you know the last two verses of the last chapter of Rev count 16 words, then 11 words, with an Amen in it's separate sentence as a stamped seal by God. Ephesians 2: 8.For by grace you have been saved through faith, and not of yourselves; it is the the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. What does "not of works" mean? Where was it written in the Holy Bible that "works" means keeping the Law? Where? Works is referring to good deeds, like helping poor and sick people, helping those in need. No matter how many good deeds we have, we are not saved because of them, so nobody should brag that they can save themselves, saving that they are good people even if they break the law constantly. Matthew 5: 17-20. Read it yourself. Don't take my word. You should read the whole chapter.
I was brought up Catholic and hated going to church. I never felt "right" after leaving a Mass. I am now in a "relationship" with Christ Jesus. There is corruption in religions as they are man-made. God Bless
Because you did not have grace to believe in Christ present in the Eucharist. I experienced Him when I was 7 in my first Holy Communion, and my little sister thought I was getting married, and in my mind, I thought I was to be one with Christ in my soul. I could follow the priest preaching somewhat, but understanding the Mass at that age went over my head. But I would think about Him alot in my childhood, and at Catholic school in recess, go into the church to visit Him and pray to Him in the tabernacle.
Believe, receive, and trust in Jesus Christ alone to save you! John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Most Catholic churches here in the US don't teach the Bible properly. Let's take for instance, with Christmas just past, how many churches have 3 wise men at the Nativity scene. First, show me a Bible version that states the number of wise men/Magi as 3. Then the Magi arrived about 2 years later at His house... Not a manger. That's why King Herod slew the boys 2 years and under.... Not newborn infant boys.
@W8RIT1 I think the 3 wise men comes from the fact there were 3 gifts. Though nonetheless the bible never mentions how many Wiseman there were. Could have 2. Could have been 2 dozen.
@@W8RIT1 What difference does this make to salvation doctrine. You are trying to pick a speck with this one. The catholic church has much more serious false doctrine than this. I remember a nativity when I was younger and we had 3 wise men, it was a Pentecostal church, should I have cast them off as being false. I used to think it was three, just based on tradition and never gave it any thought, and God still loved me and I am still filled with the Holy Spirit. Some false doctrines have a very serious consequences in regards to heresy and apostacy, and this is not one of them.
@@Jehosaphat-xf4bx so again, should the church not teach Biblical truth? Or should we leave it up to your moral relativism and what feels good to you? Or should we show love to reproach and correct other Christians when they stray? Then this is more than individuals. The Protestant side of the house has their share of problems as well.

I have been a Christian most of my life. Yet the many versions of someone else's interpretation confused me for a long time. I learned what you are talking about, rwo weeks ago. It was key to clearing things up for me personally. Thank you for sharing a sensible understanding of the gospel!
As an ex-catholic myself I came to the realization I was just following Catholic Dogma that has nothing to do with our Lord. Not to mention the sexual abuse cover ups, the money, the land holdings all the pomp and circumstance with gold and statues in churches, praying to saints.....it's just too much to take.

@@89playstation65 Incorrect. re·pent [rəˈpent] verb repent (verb) · repents (third person present) · repented (past tense) · repented (past participle) · repenting (present participle) feel or express sincere regret or remorse about one's wrongdoing or sin: "the priest urged his listeners to repent" · "he repented of his action" view or think of (an action or omission) with deep regret or remorse: "Marian came to repent her hasty judgment" archaic (repent oneself) feel regret or penitence about: "I repent me of all I did"
Repent means change your mind......Turning from sins etc is works for salvation. The moment you trust and believe in Christ alone for salvation you have already repented. No one is saved because they turned from their sins......we are saved because Christ died for our sins and our faith in this eternal truth.
@@T.Truthtella-n3i You want to talk about the Apostolic faith? The "faith once delivered to the saints" (Jude 1:3) in the First Century? Great! The Apostles never taught the Marian dogmas. The Apostles never taught transubstantiation. The Apostles never taught that one should worship the Eucharist. The Apostles never taught prayers to departed saints. All of those are later, false accretions to the "faith once delivered."

Right on my brother in Christ. My friend continues to say works are necessary and are required for salvation. Then that would mean Jesus death on the cross was not enough. And I keep telling him that salvation is totally a free gift from God, and you can't earn it. I tried to explain to him that we are saved by God's grace through our faith and not by our works. Christians are saved BY their faith FOR good works.
If we would pray earnestly and read his word everyday. We would not be concerned or in unbelief. He said it in His prayer , when the disciples asked about prayer. Give Us this day Our daily bread. Man does not live by bread alone but by every word ( the Word of God.)
I thought this was commonly accepted by all Christians, apparently not so. This is the marvel of Jesus Christ the Saviour, it really is an offer not to miss. Most sadly couldn't care less, or spend their time in petty arguments. Accept the Kingdom as like a child and trust.
It’s not an offer though. It’s the truth. Jesus did die for the sins of the world to give everyone eternal life. He did not hypothetically do this. There is nothing we did but only what Jesus did that saved us. The everlasting covenant is in His blood. It cannot be undone. Nothing in all creation can separate us from the love of God because Jesus took everything against us out of the way. Every ordinance against us was nailed to the cross. Blessed is the man to whom God will not impute sin.
So many people think they believe in faith alone but they always add a "But this or But that." Ask your Christian friends what their answer will be if asked what they would say at the gates of heaven to gain entrance. You'll be surprised.
@chilidog73 it is faith and also repentance, which means change. If faith is real then an ongoing struggle for repentance should follow, although it is impossible to become sinless. I think that if there is a genuine desire to reform and follow Christ then this will be known to God. What the point is I think is that no amount of good deed doing is going to buy you a ticket. Internally, me for instance, I have a lot of work to do in the spiritual battle, and the more I learn on my path the more I realise what a state my soul is in. So just stating a belief in Christ is not enough no. Remember Satan believes in Christ, the same Almighty Jesus Christ who is going to crush him underfoot. At the end of the day it's not about what you do, it's about what you stop doing I think.
Not arguing here but Jesus also said no adulterers or fornicators will enter the Kingdom. Let’s not lose sight of the fact that we can’t go on in a sinful lifestyle and still expect salvation.
They ignore all of that and stick by faith alone. As far as they are concerned, ALL their future sins have been forgiven, so they can sin as much as they like. No repentance is required.
You're both missing the concept of free grace. Let me put this plainly. If you have committed ONE sin... just one in your entire life. You are guilty of all. You cannot save yourself or maintain your salvation. Neither can you lose it if you are. You are not more powerful than God. ONLY Jesus can save you. His work is the only thing that does and he doesn't need your help. The pride is astounding with unsaved people such as yourselves....who are absolutely obsessed with sin. Guess what.... you sin every single day. Your works are filthy rags and the law is the standard you two will be held to on the day of judgment. You think being actually saved is some "license to sin"... all while ignoring scriptures about chastening and correction. Guess what... King David was a fornicator and adulter.... 100% saved by grace. He got corrected for his sins because he wasn't a bastard like the two of you.

Thank you so much for your stance on the King James Version! People are so ignorant on all the versions, and it’s so sad to see!! Thank you for standing on the true Word of God!! 🙏🙏
I use several versions to help my comprehension of scripture. TPT is condemned, but I read the footnotes about the original Greek. ICB is so simple that even my child with cognitive issues (developmentally ages 4-7 range) can understand lots. …no, children are not automatically saved until God arbitrarily decides that they have to decide to be righteous enough to trust God for their own salvation (read Lorraine Boettner). Parents have “parental responsibility” to teach their children to follow Jesus Christ. Anyway, my point is that God can use even an ass to speak His words… read about Balaam. (KJV) Arguing about versions is not extending grace to those who aren’t as intelligent and enlightened as you, not to mention that language/vocabulary changes over time. God’s Word is all about grace: getting what we don’t deserve - and mercy: not getting what we DO deserve. We don’t deserve forgiveness but we do deserve justice (penalty for all our sins).
Salvation is totally by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, His blood, His Holy Spirit dwell in the hearts of true believers, it’s the seal of God in our hearts, and the helper to enable us to obey God’s word, which we do out of love and gratitude, this is the works.

Acts 16:34 Even James, after saying "faith without works is dead" goes on to say anyone who breaks the law is condemned by the law. I worked with a die hard catholic for 3yrs. We talked Bible quite often. His words were 70% on the virgin Mary. He had the beads, pictures of the pope, ect. He admitted to never consistently reading the Bible or attending mass. At times I just broke off the talks we had because they often led nowhere, because it became a debate to him. It's Jesus. Plain and simple. Roman's is very direct.
Jesus didn't die to pay for the sins of demons and devils. He died to pay for our sins (humans). So I don't understand why you works-salvationists think quoting that is some kind of gotcha. It doesn't refute free grace salvation. Demons are already damned no matter what they do so it makes no sense to compare them to us.
We are saved by grace alone and the ten commandments are our rule of life. We love God's law because we love Christ. Love is the fulfilling of the law.
@Stark-ek7mh Thankyou. You are correct too. Any amount of law keeping or good works will not and could not save a sinner. Sinners are dead in trespasses and sins and only the sovereign regenerating work of the Holy Spirit can save sinners. The christian earnestly desires to keep the law of God because they love Christ their Saviour. Unfortunately for modern man he sees keeping God's law as something that restricts his liberty to sin whereas the christian sees keeping God's law as their loving duty to God and their fellow man. Not earnestly seeking to keep God's law is to sin and I would question whether one has been saved if they have no desire to keep God's law. This is because the Holy Spirit has worked within the christian a love for holiness and righteousness. I hope the Lord is greatly blessing you friend.

Read Genesis 12:7 in NKJV and KJV. You will see one references seed, and one descendants. One breaks the word of God, one does not. The correct translation being seed. Because that is a prophecy of Christ, as expounded on by Paul in Galatians 3:16. This one word changes one of the biggest promises of God. That blessing of Abraham is now in Christ's hands, and the believer. Not Abraham's physical descendants. Gal 3:29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. This is just one of many examples.

So many people say, "There is no way to earn salvation." And that is true. Salvation is a free gift by the grace of God. However, Jesus did tell the adulteress, "Go and sin no more." That means we have to leave our lives of sin behind, and when a sin is committed, we must seek forgiveness and fight that sin to keep it from being habitual. In other words, we must strive to enter the kingdom, and we must endure until the end. We cannot ridiculously ascertain that we can simply accept his free gift and then do nothing. Anyone who does that is not bearing any fruit. If you don't bear fruit, you will die spiritually and become a prodigal son or daughter. Heaven unless they return to the savior.
Jesus said if you love me you will keep my commandments.. Titus 2:11-12 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men. Teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts.. we should live soberly, righteously and Godly in this present world. Jesus said to Nichodemus unless you are born again in The Holy Spirit.. you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven.. Repentance is needed to receive the Holy Spirit.. We need to humble ourselves and ask for forgiveness of our sins and turn away from those sins.. We need to believe Jesus died on the cross for our sins and accept Him as our Lord and Saviour.. None are righteous but if we listen and obey the guidance of The Holy Spirit dwelling in us.. We lead more righteous lives. The Holy Spirit gives us comfort, peace, joy and encouragement.. And helps us overcome sin and guides us in good works through His Spirit and not of ourselves.. Jesus wants us to have a personal relationship with Him.

Someone once said "tell a man he cannot be saved by his own effort, his works, his money, whatever skills he may posses but only by Christ and Christ alone, he will hate you for the rest of his life". Pride keeps people from God.
Pride also keeps some people from honoring the gift and struggling to live as Christ taught.

What about the works We are REQUIRED TO DO FOR SALVATION which are in the Bible. ?
If we would pray earnestly and read his word everyday. We would not be concerned or in unbelief. He said it in His prayer , when the disciples asked about prayer. Give Us this day Our daily bread. Man does not live by bread alone but by every word ( the Word of God.)
I thought this was commonly accepted by all Christians, apparently not so. This is the marvel of Jesus Christ the Saviour, it really is an offer not to miss. Most sadly couldn't care less, or spend their time in petty arguments. Accept the Kingdom as like a child and trust.
I thought so too. This is all I've ever heard.
@@BingoNamo-gb8pz Yes, true. The battle is tough though. It's so easy to sin. I can just sit down watch commercials and pretty women show up on TV.
@ It sure sounds like it. I don’t understand why it’s so hard to comprehend.
@@Robert-r4s4c No,..God knows the heart and he will chasten those who he feels need it !

I am a former Catholic, Hare Krishna and former 7th Day Adventist, saved by grace for 4 years now. I Discovered free Grace by reading Galatians in one sitting (it took me about 20 minutes) which broke me out of the cult of Seventh-Day adventism and lordship salvation and sinless perfectionism. Thank you so much for your video brother. I'm a new subscriber I have a channel myself where I talked about free Grace. I share your video also thank you very much God bless you keep up the good work 👍 🙏
But u belive holy spirit transform us? I think we know by fruits if we have peace joy love.
(KJV)
Arguing about versions is not extending grace to those who aren’t as intelligent and enlightened as you, not to mention that language/vocabulary changes over time.
God’s Word is all about grace: getting what we don’t deserve - and mercy: not getting what we DO deserve.
We don’t deserve forgiveness but we do deserve justice (penalty for all our sins).
Thank you for saying that@@salauerman7082
Salvation is totally by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, His blood, His Holy Spirit dwell in the hearts of true believers, it’s the seal of God in our hearts, and the helper to enable us to obey God’s word, which we do out of love and gratitude, this is the works.

Even James, after saying "faith without works is dead" goes on to say anyone who breaks the law is condemned by the law. Paul says anyone who puts themselves under the law is condemned by the law.
The law does not save. The law only condemned. But it is not bad. The law is good. Because it points us to a savior. Jesus christ!
I have expressed much of this to many of the practicing Catholics I know, many appear to be in denial of their transgressions.
Acts 2:38 KJV: Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Absolutely 💯
@Primetimetoons2 Repent means to turn away from something or to change your mind
"...even the devils believe and tremble."
@AngellusStar "Faith without works is dead"
@@neroharvey
Correct, but that means that works will come from the same Faith that saves you, not that works are a core point of how you are saved.
@alxcus2962 there is no but, I haven't said a word except to copy scripture, so you're not replying to me.
@Stark-ek7mh who are you arguing with?
Thank you so much for your video brother! I was having a crisis of faith over this very thing and this video put it into perspective for me
We are saved by grace alone and the ten commandments are our rule of life.

I have read the Kjv for a long time and still have it. I just got an nkjv and I don’t see why everyone is mad at it. It’s literally the same thing just a little easier to understand . I really don’t see a difference. And like I said I read both all the time and never once has it contradicted one to another .
I don’t think God wants us to be co fused when we read the word. The reality is that language changes but the word never does. I bet kvj only turns a lot of people away who don’t speak old English.
