I get it, the park wasn't making money, it needed more ride and better rides, the owners did what they could, but I do think the way they let the staff down was disgusting. They knew where the business was headed and didn't say anything. The current owners aren't much better, it's now a bunch of mobile rides operating as a permanent theme park.
@@xgamer5619 they most definitely aren't. They "planned" on using "knightmare" from Camelot (the last ride to be installed there, not the ride before the beast), but that never happened. I wouldn't trust anything from the site until I saw it.
my grandad and grammar used to take me in the late 1990s like 3 times every summer haha best days of my life. I used to go on the caterpillar all the time
Think the owners did not want Blackpool to have to complete with Southport so the bottom line was to close Southport and hope that the business would move to Blackpool. The introduction of the 2 pounds entry fee was the beginning of the end.
we hope for new roller coaster if happens we will see rebirth of park dont belive its happening after last few years just being ytravling fair lost faith but if this coaster hapens be great see park rebuild with new look but dose need stop paying forwalking round other wish clos again
Better rides and the old classics.. hall of mirrors, fun house, ghost train and 'tunnel of love', even the haunted swing with the peeling carpet was fun as a child. I preferred the wristbands instead of paying at every ride.
Watching this put tears in my life live in southport while at School every weekend and holiday spent there
Logan Sheridan It's opened in a new location (In Southport) I think or it's re-opened.

It was the 2 Pound entry charge that finished it off.
