This is going to be long but it's worth a read. And if you do not agree with me that's fine watch the new Occ cast with Christian Fletcher for validation on everything I'm saying .for everyone out there who is a WSL newbie what I mean by that is if you have not been around professional surfing for at least two decades slow down before you start throwing out facts. Fact- now that the air game has come to the Forefront of our sport we've taken a lot of the tricks and grabs from skateboarding and snowboarding. just because we did that doesn't give us the right to change the name of the grab or the trick. These judges and all you newbies need to do some history.learn what a mute air is learn what a judo air is a stalefish air a lien a frigate a rocket air and so many others that came from skating & snowboarding.we don't have the right to rename these tricks they've already been named. Like hobgood called an air he did a Superman.Christian Hosoi in the 1980s was doing the same air on a launch ramp skating and it was called a rocket air but all of a sudden hobgood does one and he/we decide to call it a Superman. we need to stick with the name that was originally given to That Trick. bottom line across the board it has to stay the name that was originally given so all this confusion will go away. Again I highly suggest you watch the interview with Christian Fletcher he sets the record straight. I hope you read this and I hope it was helpful.
With the Clay Marzo layback and the Dane nosepick on a single wave. JK, next dimension surfing from Toledo.
That layback snap 💙💛💜
