As a bench science PhD student, it is very overwhelming to have to balance reading, writing, and lab work because they all feel so disparate as times. But I do get to switch off between tasks if I am really burned out in one arena which is nice. I’m definitely feeling the end of semester tiredness even though I am not in classes or a TA. It’s just the vibe on campus.
Thank you for speaking about Palestine and calling it what it is, genocide. I remember in October you shared a post on Instagram in support of only Israel, and as a graduate student of color, it's nice to see that you have a changed understanding of why we protest against our institutions in favor of divestment. 💛
❤ as a white American, I try to greet global politics first with a stance of listening and compassion. The acts of violence on college campuses in response to pro-Palestine protests have been horrendous-violence that doesn’t even come close to what is happening in Palestine itself. I don’t remember posting anything pro-Israel on Instagram, but if I did, I did not realize or think through the ramifications of what I was sharing.

I hope you had a good end to the semester! ❤
I’m also an abd, writing my dissertation. Felt the same way. Thanks for sharing this video. I don’t feel lonely anymore 😊
Thank you for speaking about the protests and for giving space to your students to express their worries about this issue
I loved the intro to this video 🫶🏻
thank you so much
