i think i'd have taken a moment to clean the grit & grime off of the housing before opening the guts. the last thing you want is to have any of those contaminates to find its way into those precision parts & seals. the damage that could cause, would be more costly & time consuming than if you had simply cleaned the housing to begin with. i hope that didn't happen, but that's a gamble i wouldn't take.

Just see where are placing the gears,parts ,on the soily , dirt, ground .Should do in a workshop ,parts claened in diesel oil .No doubts they have some skills in repairing the gearbox .This are all expensive ,precision parts to be handled properly .Clean the outer gearbox casing first .

That is forward differential, for a heavy vehicle. Not to difficult to teardown this thing, but if you going to assamble it back require proper tools and experienced people. In this video you don't know if the job done meets all specifications.
