Years ago I was dozing off as my nephew and niece played this insane game but when this song came on it was the most beautiful thing I'd ever heard from a video game at the time and that awakened me.
The song was already a masterpiece, and then the percussion kicks in to put it over the top. To this day, still the best song in the Katamari series, and that's really saying something.
I recently bought We Love Katamari Reroll and this song has been playing a lot in the levels I've been completing and it's one of my favorites out of the soundtrack so far. Gotta be one of my favorite game series with amazing soundtracks

Well over a decade later, I realized that the singer in one of my favorite songs in one of my favorite games ever is YOU, who is also one of my favorite commentators in one of my favorite TV shows, Terrace House. Small world, eh?
The fact you hear this at the first stage of the game really sets you up on how amazing this games music is. It got me hooked instantly when I first played We Love Katamari ^.^
So, go with me on this: This song is the soundtrack to the first night a young couple spend with each other. The romantic vibe is there, but one -- or both -- of the parties are tryhards and they're making it kinda awkward. But the awkwardness is definitely couched not just in affection, but sexual attraction -- in fact, the awkwardness is possibly another attractive factor? "I'm tired of the ones that take themselves so seriously, but this one's a goofball and I love it." Eventually the awkwardness kinda melts away, as they slowly allow themselves to be with one another. Still some bumps along the way, but they never lose the vibe with each other. The cutest sex scene ever. At least in my book.
