hahaha, well I drive a A4 B6 TDI... I know this all too well. Had to replace the timing belt twice, head once and water pump twice. Its ease of access however if You can't get the AC pipes off then you are kinda screwed...
the function of a big turbo setup is merely to highlight the cars weak points and btw who does maintenance before the BT thats why we rebuild after the rods leave the game

Flip the cam gear & the markings for TDC should line up on the valve cover. Happened to my current AEB 1.8T
