- Alex Jones addressed his Infowars bankruptcy case after a U.S. bankruptcy judge barred an attorney and manager from the case over conflicts. "And I think Judge Lopez in Texas has been very fair and been doing a great job. The media spun some changes in our bankruptcy procedures as some big, huge, evil, bad thing. It wasn't," Jones said to the media Wednesday.

If a company has a court ordered monitory payment and doesn’t want to pay it, they file bankruptcy. They are then no longer liable to pay it as they “restructure”.
Happened to my dad. My grandfather was killed by a 18wheeler when the load on the back broke loose and crushed him. My dad sued and won 10million dollars in court, after years of appeals, the court held the jury ruling. So they just filed bankruptcy and “restructured” their debt neatly leaving my dad off their liabilities list.
Corporations have more rights than individuals.

Neither of those apply to defamation, and his refusal to comply with discovery resulted in his being defaulted. He lost because he refused to participate, now it's just a matter of the jury determining how much he is liable for.
