There's Kindred's image all over this video. And Yeah, It does seems like we just saw how Yasuo will die. Interesting thing, he chooses to die. He sees wolf, knows, that he can block all arrows, but decides not to strugle, and first arrow that hits him is Lamb's
Is that Yasuo? I got the impression that it was Elder Souma. I don't think we've ever seen a character either aged up or down to a visible degree (outside of dream sequences/photographs) in any cinematic to date.
@@pikmints Cinematic is about past future and present Past is morgana and kayle before they part their ways Future is yasuo and you can recognise him by his scar on his nose and wind technique And present is tryndamare and ashe when he close to death he activates his undying rage and he sees and fights off kindred (literally death) instead of his enemies
Theyve releasing a skin of oldsuo, apparently this is a vision he received of the future, one of many he sees in his dreams or something. Its one of many potential paths for him or something.
The Valkyries are the Aspects of Justice. The scene is from the early days of demacia, so very far in the past. You should react to/read the lore of Kayle and Morgana. I loved their scene here. Notice the absolute disdain in the blonde ones eyes as she walks past the purple one
@@VeggieGamer#TheBoredBoarPlays: @Necrit lore The whole theme is "StillHere", referencing Kindred who is DeathIncarnate. Whether it's the Past (Morgana &Kayle), Present (Tryndamere), and Future (OldMan Yasuo). Death is "Still Here" no matter whattime it is. You can see Kindred in the Fires of thePast destroying Aatrox, Facing Tryndamere, andShooting a Fatal Arrow at Old Man Yasuo in thehead.a
@@VeggieGamer yeah overall kayle (the blonde one) simply put has big ego overall she thinks he is above everything while Morgana has big and good connection with mortals like shes here for them while Kayle is like whatever but my gosh Riot delivered in artistic music and Lore way DAMN its good after last season let down big big let down . Theyve puyt some biig money in that and damn that oldman Yasuo skin will bring them money big moeny because im gonna buy it simply because i love his lore and its my main since season 8. Yes im that RAT but whatever Yasuos story is one of the greatest when it comes to characters in that type of video games. And the sheep and wolf are DEATH litreally but ussualy when it comes to them i mean they always give a choice you die peacefully from sheeps arrow or painfully from the wolfs teeth in Tryndameres way theyve shown both without any thing which for me sucked butartisticaly or however you write it english not my main langauge but it looked gorgeous
In reality they are not rly Aspect of Justice. Her mother was. Their swords is in reality one and unique who was split in two by her mother (that was her sword). They’ve got « power » cause their mother was pregnant when she get the power of the Aspect of Justice
Pretty sure Kindred aka the Wolf and the Lamb are akin to death itself or the grim reaper cuz if you'll notice when Ashe came in to save her husband Tryndamere, Kindred lowered her bow just before her arrows came in to save him. In the lore of Freljord Ashe and Tryndamere married to unite 2 factions to attempt bringing peace to the Freljord. The winged duo are sisters named Kayle and Morgana, Morgana is a caster while Kayle is more knight like. They were fighting Aatrox who if I remember correctly is similar to Nightmare and the Soul Edge from Soul Calibur. In the middle that looked like an old man version of Yasuo.
This cinematic is a representation of the past present and future. At the very beginning we see Tryndamere laying on the ground and he sees a faint glimpse of kindred (this will be important later). Then the first battle scene is in the past in ancient Demacia (we are talking over 1000 years ago) and we see the two sisters Kayle and Morgana who together both make the aspect of justice, basically they are both the god of justice, Morgana judges and Kayle punishes. We see Kayle and Morgana fighting Aatrox who is a darkin (darkin is a corrupted god warrior and Aatrox is the only cannonical person to kill an aspect being the aspect of war pantheon). Past them fighting I am unsure of why they are fighting each other I would assume it is part of the Darkin War which started due to the emperor of Shurima Azir dying and all the God warriors went corrupt and turned into the Darkin and they all vied for power with the two strongest being Aatrox and Xolaani. Next we see the future, a village in Ionia is being attacked by what I assume to be the Shadow order and the old man who steps up is a much older Yasuo (he was in the Awaken cinematic for reference). Thus knowing its a older Yasuo and this being in the future there is a lot of unknowns and there is more questions than answers. Finally we are in the present and we return to Tryndamere, the fact that he saw a glimpse of Kindred at the start of the cinematic its no surprise he is fighting them becasue Kindred is LoL's version of death, a lamb (the white on with a bow) for a painless death for those who embrace death and a wolf (the large black one) for a painful death to those who choose to run or fight. Since Tryndamere is fighting Kindred we know he is close to death at this point, when his eyes go red he enters "undying rage" basically he becomes so angry he cannot die. Plot twist Tryndamere is seeing Kindred and thinking he is fighting Kindred when in fact he was figthing the people who were surrounding him. Then we see 2 blue arrows fly past Kindred and we see Ashe emerge and Kindred disappear meaning Ashe saved Tryndamere from death, also side note Ashe is Tryndamere's wife. I do apologize for the long comment but there is a lot happening in the cinematic and I thought to add context incase something was confusing, I hope this helps and if you have more question I'm willing to try and answer them for you.
My assumption for Yasuo's scene is that the wind power takes a lot out of him, he's old at this point and maybe his body literally can't take it. He closes his eyes before he picks up the sword on the ground in a moment of knowing what this means for him. The moment he kills the last enemy he sees the wolf, who probably expects him to fight (due to his history of doing exactly that) but then he once more closes his eyes in acceptance, and lamb's arrow comes for him. I believe the heart attack route for the simple fact that we don't see any other enemies, and the arrow comes from very far away. I don't believe there were any enemies left.
That wolf and lamb are the representation of death. The guy with the big sword has a skill that prevents him from dying basically being immortal. He fights death every time he uses his skill
This Cinematic focuses on Kindred (Lamb and Wolf) they are Death in Runeterra, the title being "Still Here" and having three different scene "Past, Future and Present" implying that Kindred (Death) will always be there. The Lamb shoots an arrow to deliver a quick death to those who accepts their fate, and Wolf chases and hunts those who refuses it giving a slow and painful death. The first Scene is in the past which was Acient Demacia, the two sisters are Kayle (white) and Morgana (purple) they use the half of the sword from their mum, but Morgana left the sword and used the Fallen magic which Kayle visibly did not like. They are fighting agaisnt a darkin named A'atrox. If you look in the fire at the end of the scene you can see Kindred's figure implying that she's also there to collect the dead Second scene is in the Future with Old man Yasuo, at the end a rain of arrows was headed towards him, he accepts death so Kindred's glowing arrow can be seen and also the wolf is staring in the shadows Third is Tryndamere in the present, He was about to die so he actually saw Kindred. He was supposed to be reaped but Tryndamere entered into his rage, Wolf chased him because he refuse to give in, you can see Lamb even wonders why he isn't dying. In the end Lamb puts down her bow when she realised it wasn't his time to die. Ashe, came and saved him and Kindred dissappears.
i can just say that the necrit breakdown video for the cinematic is a great starter if you wanna know more about the characters, its very beginner friendly, even if you dont wanna make a reaction to it.
I pulled up the video before watching this, and even then, it brought tears to my eyes. The whole message of "I'm still here," along with the theme of pushing through adversity is very significant to me. I've been through a lot over the last few years. Over the last decade, honestly (though, it was one of those 'if you put a lobster in a pot of cold water and raise the temperature, they won't notice until it is too late' kind of decades). But I've survived it and I'm moving on from all of that, and in the last year, as I've been focusing on rebuilding myself, this whole message of "I may be beaten down and tired, but I am still here despite all of that" is very much frontmost in my brain.
Yap veggie, that's an old boy Yasuo. Edit ps: Kindred have two ways to take you. If you accept, like Yasuo in the end, the Lamb shoot you with a arrow and you go in peace. Or you could fight, and the wolf will tear you. He sees the Wolf eyes, and accept his fate.
I love finally seeing Kindred in a cinematic, that was a treat and a half. They are my very favorite interpretation of death across media. I see several comments of people informing you of what their deal is and I agree with anyone recommending you check out their voice lines and stories. No you will not be spoiled of any Arcane things by doing so. Speaking of Arcane. A fun fact I have not seen anyone mention yet. If you go back and rewatch the brothel house scene with Caitlyn and Vi, you can actually see two characters there wearing the Lamb and Wolf mask. That was a very fun easter egg (among many) to find while watching the show.
The three parts are in the past, present, and potential future. The two "angels" part is in the past. Around 1000 years before the present, at the creation od Demacia. The women are Kayle and Morgana, two sisters who received the blessing and powers from the Aspect of the Justice when they born. The "demon" attacking is Aatrox. His story is very complicated, he was an hero of Shurima who become ascended (a god warrior as Nasus and Renekton), but after Shurima fall, he started civil wars for the control, and the Aspects cursed him putting is soul trapped in the sword. If a human touch it, Aatrox can posses him for a while, transforming in that creature. He is fighting continuosly the Aspects in the hope that they would finally remove him from this curse. Kayle and Morgana defend Demacia and in the end destroy the body, but not the sword. The big-sword guy part is in the present. Freljord of course, you are right. The guy is Tryindamere, a big and strong barbarian that is married with Ashe, the queen\warmother of the Avarasonan (the woman with the ice bow). He is fighting some barbarians of the Winter Claw (the same guys leaded by Sejuani that you saw in the Call, they are at war with everyone, overall with the group of Ashe). During the fight Tryndamere is on the verge of death, and metaphorically\practically he is fighting THE death itself, that in Runeterra has a name and a face, Kindred, the dual entity of death, the Lamb with bow and the Wolf with the teeth. In reality he is still fighting the barbarians. While he does so, his eyes become red, because he is using his ability to be go in berserek (which was given to him in the past by Aatrox when he destroyed his village in search for valid vessels). In the end, Ashe come to save him from the barbarians, and Tryndamere stop to fight the death. Then Ashe calls for help firing a magic arrow on the sky. The third part is a potential future, where an old Yasuo protect a village in Ionia and probably died in the end.
I love how the whole song is actually about Kindred. The "Still Here" is about kindred still being there. Whether it is the past, present, or future - Death is still there, always waiting. The battle with Aatrox takes place in the past, and you can see Kindred's silhouette in the fire that takes Aatrox. Then old Yasuo fight takes place in the future, where you can see the hundreds of arrows, and Kindred fires the one single glowing final arrow right at Yasuo who accepts his death and lets Kindred finally take him so he can rest. Then finally you have Tryndamere's battle with Kindred. Which I already explained in another comment.
the quote at the start "tomorrow is a hope, never a promise" belongs to that lamb with a bow who fought with the spectral wolf, they are the kindred, the twin faces of death
Lore guy here: 0. Scene Tryndamere is dying. Warriors closing at him. 1. Scene They are Kayle (yellow one) and Morgana (purple one). They are the twin aspect of justice (God of justice choose them to be their avatar) Big red guy is Aatrox (He has a lot of lore, but it doesn't realy matter for this. He is a currupted holy warrior of Shurima, aka darkin, and technically he is the sword the human part is only a vessel, which he morfed into this). This is in the past when Kayle and Morgana worked together. Later they had a fight about what justice is, Kayle wins, Morgana gives up her sword and goes to live with the mortals and she is trying to help them. 2. Scene This is a possible future. The sword guy is old Yasuo, a practicioner of the wind technique. At the end arrows are shot at him, Kindred(Wolf) is visible in the trees (eyes) and blue arrow is Kindred(Lamb)'s arrow as he accepts death. 3. Scene This is the present. Tryndamere fight Kindred, the death itself (LoL's version of the grim reaper). Kindred(Lamb) offers quick death to those who accept it, Kindred(Wolf) gives painfull death to those who runs from death. Tryndamere was infused with blood magic, so he can cheat death (red eyes). In this scene kindred comes as he is about to die to the warriors, but he is fighting death, as such Wolf does the most of the work. When Ashe his wife comes and kills the last two warriors, he is no longer close to death, so kindred disapears. (Kindred isn't a physical thing, more like in his head, Kindred is a very complicated character to tell) I think this should be enough, to better understand the cinematic. It is hard to not write 5 pages of lore after a cinematic like this. They have a lot more lore, but the rest isn't realy important to understand this.
The first person we see is Tryndamere, he is indeed from the Freljord (pronounced Frel-iord, I hope that makes sense to you). This scene takes place in the present. Then we go to demacia and see Morgana (the purple one) and Kayle (the blonde one), they are sisters and Aspects. They are fighting Aatrox, who originates from Shurima and is a Darkin, which is a Ascended that was corrupted by the Void. This scene takes place in the past, since Morgana and Kayle don't work together anymore in the present. Then we go to Ionia and meet old Yasuo (pronounced Ya-su-o), so this scene takes place in the future. Then we go back to Tryndamere, he is fighting Kindred. Kindred is both the lamb with the bow and the wolf, they are the embodiment of death on Runeterra, with lamb representing a peacefull death and wolf representing a brutal death. Tryndamere's eyes are red in this scene because Tryndamere fought Aatrox once and got some of his blood on him, and got some of his abilities with it. So in battle, Tryndamere goes into a rage and becomes impossible to kill. He then gets saved by Ashe, who is his wife. I hope I explained everything in a understandable way.
my favorite part is morgana dropping her helmet and leaving her sword behind which is in the present day, in the hands of kayle her sister, morgana gave up on divinity to embrace humanity, and despite her looking more evil, she is the side of justice focus on redemption, you could see kayle like the spanish inquisition meet the crusades incarnate. kayle side eye is a nod to their lore relationship, also in game when kayle use her heal she sometimes say "flame purifies!" if she does that on morgana she responds "oh, am i pure now, sister?" tryndamere fighting for his life while literally fighting death itself was really cool
The two near the start are Kayle and Morgana. Sisters, daughter of a Celestial. Morgana can use dark magic, which she used to chain Aatrox. Her sister, does not approve her using those powers. Those fighting Tryndamere is Kindred. Death (think Grim Reaper) personified as a Wolf and a Lamb. Tryndamere has a literal undying will. Hence Kindred lowering her bow when she realised he refuses to die. You can however see her or the wolf's silhouette in the other scenes where someone dies in this cinematic.
Lamb didn't lower their bow because they realised Tryndamere refused to die. They lowered their bow because Ashe showed up to save Tryndamere from certain death caused by his battle with the warriors at the start of the cinematic. Once Tryndamere's life was essentially saved by Ashe and he was no longer in mortal danger, Kindred disappeared as they're no longer needed. The only reason Kindred was there was to give Tryndamere his death, until his life was saved by Ashe. You gotta think of death by Kindred as more of a metaphorical fight with death than a literal one.
#TheBoredBoarPlays: @Necrit lore The whole theme is "StillHere", referencing Kindred who is DeathIncarnate. Whether it's the Past (Morgana &Kayle), Present (Tryndamere), and Future (OldMan Yasuo). Death is "Still Here" no matter whattime it is. You can see Kindred in the Fires of thePast destroying Aatrox, Facing Tryndamere, andShooting a Fatal Arrow at Old Man Yasuo in thehead.
Comments will surely help, but Necrit is gonna release 2 videos diving into this lore. His VOD on Twitch is still up from his reaction and breaking down.
Hi, I'm new here. Found you because of this reaction, but went back to watch the other LoL cinematic reactions first. Enjoyed your journey. This is my favourite one, it contains both my girls, Morgana and Ashe. The 2 that's you liked best too. They're really fun to play and I love their design too. This cinematic is just so good! So many emotions!
7:16 Trynda was fighting somes dudes, but it was him fighting Kindred (thats the Death in lol lore) but when he manage to win the fight with the help of Ashe (his wife) Kindred as no point to be there because he wasnt going to die (Trynda) thats why it disappeared, its soo cool
Theres the league of legends official universe page with all the places and maps and characters too. It was very fun to read like an exploration novel where you can click places and character stories pop up XD
In the flames in the transition between the Morgana/Kayle/Aatrox fight and the burning village (1:39), you can see the shadowy outline of Lamb (one half of Kindred's Lamb+Wolf, the incarnation of death) holding her bow. In the shadows on the mountain at the end of Yasuo's fight (2:50) you can see the eyes and outline of Wolf looking down at him, as Lamb's arrow flies in. And of course Tryndamere fights Lamb and Wolf directly, apparently representing his experience while using his ultimate, rather than seeing all the soldiers he's "actually" fighting against. It lasts until Ashe's twin arrows take out the last two soldiers he'd been fighting, and the threat of death is gone. (Also, right at the start, before he first closes his eyes, it looks like it might be an outline of Lamb in the background, though apparently without her bow.)
I don't know how much you know, because there is a LOT to learn, but first things first. The first scene is indeed Freljord, with Tryndamere. Then it's was ancient Demacia (place) with Kayle and Morgana, the two winged protectors of the city against Aatrox, a darkin (person corrupted by an evil spirit that resides in the sword). After that the place is not that confirmed, but it could be somewhere in Ionia and it showed old man Yasuo in what could be his moment of death. And the again Tryndamere fighting the literal spirit of death, called Kindred, until he managed to survived and was saved by his wife, Ashe.
At beggining you hear Kindred voice (it's Lol version of death reaper, presented as wolf and lamb). First part is past, Morgana and Kayle fighting Aatrox in demacia, long long time ago. Mid part is old man Yasuo, using his power last time (notice, he is not killing those guys). Then you can see wolf shadow in forest and lamb arrow. That means Yasuo accepted death and died. Last clip is "now" in lore. Tryndamere ultimate ability is "Undying rage". That means literally that he is too pissed off to die. In this cinematic you can see his perspective, everytime when he is close to death he needs to face the death (Kindred). Actually, now in his point of view he is fighting bad guys.
This whole Cinematic is based around Kindred (Lamb and Wolf). In the World of Runeterra, Kindred is essentially the grim reaper. She collects those in death. there are signs of Kindred in all 3 scenes. the Scenes are broken up into Past, Future, and Present. In the Past, Two Demi-Angels, Kayle (blonde) and Morgana (Brunette) Defended and dealt justice in a Land that would eventually become known as Demacia. The Scene Depicts an area under siege by the Darkin Aatroxx (the demon). Darkin were originally ascendant beings but they were driven mad by the void in a war long ago. Kayle and Morgana are sisters, their Mother is an angel, and they both hold 1 half of their mother's sword. They defeat Aatrox. In the lore, Kayle is stoic and brings justice in a very cold and unemotional way, while Morgana is more affected by the plight of humans and reasons that judgement and justice can be tempered. In the scene Morgana drops her mothers weapon and taps into darker powers to fight Aatrox, you can see the disdain Kayle has for Morgana in the quick glance she gives her, even as she takes up both halves of her mothers sword and causes the firestorm. if you look closely, there is an afterimage in the fire that is Kindred. Then you go to the Future, in Ionia, where we are greeted by an Old man version of Yasuo, the Wind swordsman. After he uses his whirlwind, you see many arrows in the sky coming for Yasuo, including a bright one, which appears to hit him, this is the Arrow of Kindred, claiming Yasuo. if you look in the sky, you can also see the apparent shape of a wolfs head. in the last scene, which would be considered the Present, in Frejord, you see Tryndamere, who has the power to avoid death by tapping into his rage via blood magic. He is married to Ashe, a Frostborn Tribal Leader. In the scene, Trendamere is fighting death (literally) by fighting against Kindred (the Lamb and the Wolf). Tryndamere power in game is literally to become un-killable for a short period of time. As the fight goes on, Kindred lets her bow go because Ashe has arrived, and saves Tryndamere. It's not his time to die.
ok so the purple and gold valkyries are morgana and kayle and the demon guy they're fighting is aatrox, that scene also apparently takes place in the past whereas the scene with Yasuo takes place in the future which is why he's so old. The lamb with the bow and the wolf are called Kindred and they're essentially death, the guy at the beginning of the cinematic is named Tryndamere and he has an ability that makes it so he can't die when he would have otherwise and the last fight is showing what that actually means in the league universe, his wife is the woman in blue that comes after Kindred fades
I am stunned you recognized Yasuo despite his age after not knowing Kayle, Morgana, or Aatrox. (Plenty of folks that know League didn't guess the "sean bean" guy was Tryndamere if they weren't told in advance.)
Kindred is who we hear speaking at the very beginning. Their basic backstory is that Death was lonely because all being fear and shun him. So he split himself in two to always have a friend and no longer be lonely. The Lamb caries a bow and offers a peaceful quick death to those who accept their end. The Wolf hunts and fights those who will not accept their death and fight against the inevitable. The Cinematic takes place in 3 different time periods, and is basically Death coming to take the dying through time. The Past: Kayle & Morgana (the two angels) fighting Aatrox (The Darkin demonic guy) in a very VERY old Damacia. You can tell because the gate is still made of regular wood and stone, and the surrounding forests aren't Petricite yet. And also obviously Morgana still has her wings, so this is before the she and Kayle had their full falling out. At the end of their scene, you can see Lamb's silhouette in the flames when Kayle strikes Aatrox down. However, Death wasn't able to claim Aatrox, because like many of the Darkin, his soul is actually in the sword and not in the body they killed. The Future: With an old Yasuo (the samurai with wind powers you've seen in other cinematics) still protecting people and still being an absolute and total giga chad. At the end it's obviously Lamb's Arrow sailing towards him as he accepts his death. And you can also see at the end Wolf's eyes and outline in the darkness in the background. The Present: With Tryndamere (the guy with the sword) almost dying in his fight against another clan in the Freljord. He is battling against Lamb & Wolf because he is in a berserker rage and is literally too enraged to die. And it's crazy when you realize the fight with Lamb & Wolf is just spiritual/in his mind. He was REALLY getting up and fighting/killing all of the enemies that took him down at the start of the cinematic. And near the end of the fight, Lamb eventually lowers her bow because Ashe (the archer with the ice bow) arrives to save him, so Kindred realizes it's not yet his time to die. Just magnificent.
The cinematic's name is "still here" which means accepting or resisting death in the past, the present and the future. The past is the two angelic sisters which are kayle and morgana fighting the darkin Aatrox in demacia before it was founded. The future is old yasuo fighting one last fight before he finally accepts death by "kindred" which is death itself and is represented in the game by the lamb and the wolf one takes the souls of whose who embrace it and the other takes the soul of the one who resist it. The present is "tryndamere" after his fight with Aatrox and he was infused with blood magic that gives him the ability to become unkillable for a short period of time and during this time he resists death itself to stay alive because he was fighting some enemies in the first 15 seconds and he feel to the ground but he didnt accept death and resisted using his blood magic thats why he saw "kindred" and "Ash" his wife shot the enemies behind him and at the moment he was out of danger his Undying rage stopped revealing his wife and he was relieved to see her. Thats simply what is going on
The tryndamere scene was really cool, hes ultimate in the game keeps him alive for a few seconds. and in that scene hes fighting off death (kindred), hes fighting a battle not directly with kindred but with people on the field, but hes fighting off kindred in his undying state, before his ult goes off which would basically mean the end of him, ashe shoots two arrows killing the guys that were about to kill him, kindred sees this and sees its not tryndameres time yet and leaves.
The first scene is explaining everything for the last thing. Tyrandamere was literally fought with death herself. Ashe came to r escue him from the guys from first scene after ashe caame just in time kindred stopped attacking. Huge impact man... 😮
The last scene is of Tryndamere and Kindred fighting. Kindred represents death in league of legends lore. I love the thought of Tryndamere fighting kindred whenever he ults. Trydamere's ultimate makes him unkillable for around 5-8 seconds (I dont remember how long). When kindred puts her bow down, it represents that it wasn't tryndamere's time to die yet since Ashe, Tryndamere's wife, came to save him
a little bit of contest: first scene: kayle (the blond angel) and morgana (the purple angel) r sisters fighting aatrox a darkin (idk much abt that fight tbh) 2d scene: that old man is Yasuo that scene haad me crying (maybe maayyyybe he finally found peace upon him that s why he was using a stick instead of a sword at the beggining) and at the end of the scene u can see 2 red eyes in the forest, that s kindred coming for yasuo s soul. yasuo closed his eye accepting his fate (that s what i think). 3d scene: the man we see at first is tryndamere, the thing he was fighting is kindred, represent death itself, whenever death is near, kindred appears, tryndamere s ult is Undying Rage whenever he s near death he becomes unvulnerable, in that scene we can see that whenever he s near death he s fighting kindred to stay alive. that was so cleaver from RIOT games to put it that way. PS: correct me if im wrong.
I believe one of the themes of this cinematic is Past, Present and Future. The scene with Kayle and Morgana is from ancient Demacia, and in the fire at the end you see a silhouette (Kindred/Lamb?). The scene with Yasuo is in the future, and as the final arrows come for him, you see two eyes (Kindred/Wolf?). And the scene with Tryndemere is Present, where for obviously Kindred themselves show up.
A very generalized summary of the characters in the cinematic. Big Red = Aatrox, a corrupted god-warrior hellbent on the destruction of everything, quite literally. Valkyries = Kayle and Morgana, (white and purple wings respectively) Sisters born to a mother who became an Aspect of reality while pregnant and shared her powers of that aspect with her children (Aspect of Justice) Old Guy = Yasuo, swordsman who was framed for murdering his master, killed his pursuing brother, then went to find the real killer. Wolf and Lamb = Kindred, (they literally use the names of the animals they are) Twin essences of Death, capital D. They were once Death as a single dude, split themselves in two so they would always have a friend. They are the ones who come to collect your soul when you're dying, Lamb slays those who accept death peacefully, Wolf kills those who fight or flee. Both will exist until the end of all life, then they will kill each other. Too Angry to Die = Tryndamere, barbarian who is politically married to Ashe, they grew to actually love each other and Tryndamere is able to fight even after being brought to the brink of death by getting angry. Hence why Kindred couldn't take him, he was dying but refused to go. Icy Archer = Ashe, married to Tryndamere, is an Iceborn, basically magic people that are highly resilient to the cold and can wield weapons made from True Ice, which normal people die when they touch.
So since you're into the lore, here is the full detailed breakdown; The cinematic is ultimately all about Kindred (the Lamb and the Wolf), the Runeterran depiction of Death or the Grim Reaper, and her omnipresence. We see a scenario of the past, the future and the present. In the past, the siblings Kayle and Morgana are fighting Aatrox the Darkin in ancient Demacia. Morgana calls upon darker powers to win the fight and Kayle shuns her for it (you can see the nasty side-eye). Kayle picks up Morgana's blade from the ground, one half of a whole that was their mother's blade, and Ascends, striking Aatrox down as Morgana holds him still. You can then see Kindred's silhouette in Kayle's flame as she strikes Aatrox. In the future, Yasuo has grown old and his homeland, Ionia, is being invaded yet again. He saves the villager and fights off the invaders, and as he uses his iconic tornado move to take out the last fleeing enemy, you can see a volley of arrows coming his way, with the outline of Kindred's Wolf in the treeline. He embraces his fate, rather than fighting it, resulting in a peaceful, quick death by Lamb's arrow rather than the Wolf's fangs - Kindred's two halves, Wolf and Lamb, both have a role in death. Those who fight their death and refuse to accept their time has come, are torn apart by the Wolf. Those who accept that their time has come, are ended peacefully by the Lamb's arrow. The Wolf feels emotions, but does not understand them. The Lamb understands emotions, but does not feel them - the Wolf and Lamb are the emotional and rational halves of Death, who split himself apart in the middle. (There is a very interesting story about this, in Kindred's voice lines. Look them up on youtube!) In the present, we have Tryndamere fighting enemies in the woods of Freljord. Tryndamere is infused with blood magic, allowing him to fend off death (this is also his ultimate in-game, he becomes unkillable for a few seconds) - this is why we see his eyes turn red. Kindred comes to claim him, and because Tryndamere fights, the Wolf attempts to tear him apart. However, Ashe, Tryndamere's wife, runs in and kills the two enemies threatening Tryndamere.. meaning it is no longer his time to go - Kindred lowers her bow and leaves. Ashe fires a hawkshot (this is also an in-game ability, to give vision on the map) into the air to presumably signal their troops.
The two valkyries are the two Aspects of Justice - Kayle and Morgana. Each embodying one side of justice. Kayle (the blond one) embodies justice that is total and absolute - one that leaves no room for explanation and is purely black and white, no second chances, no explanation. You do something bad? Then you get smited. Kayle does not discriminate between what crime you commit, the penalty is death either way. Morgana (the purple one) - embodies the more compassionate and reasonable side of justice. One that listens and thinks it through before choosing an appropriate punishment. She, unlike Kayle, also believes in second chances and that people can be better if given the chance (no pun intended). Morgana, unlike Kayle, also hates her celestial powers and the one thing she wants most is to become mortal, but she can't. Kayle also believes that emotions are a liability, so she does her best to rid herself of all emotions so that she can better judge and deliver justice. Needless to say... the two sisters... bicker. And by bicker I mean they try to kill each other all the time, or rather, Kayle is trying to kill Morgana. Morgana is pretty content to just chill on her own and live her own life. Keep in mind that my explanation is extremely lackluster and I left out an extreme amount of information. Kayle and Morgana have some of the most developed lore in the entire League of Legends and are both very complicated characters. You should really watch their lore.
The big red guy is Aatrox and is actually from Shurima. I don't know enough about the lore though to explain why there was an army there with him. He is what you call a darkin, not a demon though. I don't know all the details but here is my best summary of it: Darkins were once human soldiers who served Emperor Azir (another champion) of Shurima. With the power of their kingdom's sundisk, it transformed them into Ascended God Warriors. During their battle with another nation called Icathia who do not wish to be subjugated by Shurima, Icathia found the Void not knowing it was bad and used it against Shurima. Obviously, this messed up everyone involved in this fight and destroyed Icathia. Shurima managed to win the fight, however, the soldiers' exposure to the Void became tainted psychologically by the Void. The Void would whisper to them. But then, during the day their emperor was going to ascend with the sundisk's power, he was betrayed by his own best friend Xerath (another champion). The power destroyed Xerath's body but he still lived. Emperor Azir, unfortunately, was dead. This traumatized everyone in Shurima. With the loss of their leader and the Void tainting their mind, the soldiers slowly started going crazy. Xolaani, a combat medic I think? (she was a healer basically and a Legends Of Runeterra character), tried to help the soldiers by using blood magic. This was a trick, however, as she was only doing this to gain control over them. Over time, they eventually transformed into these dark monstrosities and became a threat to everyone else. The gods of Targon saw this and sent the Aspect of Twilight down. She taught the humans how to imprison the darkin into their weapons, and they did. They stayed imprisoned for centuries. The only way for them to come back is for anyone or any creature to simply touch the darkin weapon, making the darkin take over the mind & body of whoever touched their weapons like a possession. This possession also transforms the victim's body into some combination of said victim & the darkin. Other darkin champions are Varus (who is a combination of Varus & 2 men who were a couple) & Naafiri (possessed a dog's body and became the alpha of the dog's pack, essentially becoming a hivemind). Kayn also owns a darkin weapon (whose name is Rhaast) but somehow is strong enough to resist Rhaast from taking over his mind & body. There are other darkins in Legends Of Runeterra besides Xolaani but I can't remember them all. Their designs are cool as hell though! Edit: I found their names: Annakca, Baalkux, Horazi, Joraal, Naganeka, Praa, Styraatu, & Taarosh. If you remember in The Call, there was a giant carving of a woman on the side of a cliff that had a large gash on it that destroyed the face. That woman was Xolaani and the gash was made by Aatrox. He hated her for what she did to them with her blood magic.
I think that this could be all the times that the champions had a near death experience, Tryndamere fighting kindred in his undying rage then Ashe (his wife) pulling him back from the brink. When Morg and Kayle were fighting Aatrox, if morg hadn't fallen then they could have died but that Aatrox vessel died instead. And the arrow with the wolf's eyes below it shooting at Yasuo. Like That was all awesome and I love the concept.
Some more interesting things if you think about the lore. In both the future, and present fights. You see both the lamb and the wolf where in the past, you only see the lamb because demacia primarily believes in the lamb
The "tournament" cinematics you talk of are released around November each year. These season cinematics are more about the lore, rather than the pro players. The 2 Valkyries are Morgana and Kayle. Daughters of an aspect (a person that climbed mount targon's peak and became a vessel to a celestial). Their mother, Mihira, Aspect of Justice granted them her power when they became of age. But Morgana never liked those powers, because she resented her mother for leaving them. Kayle on the other hand, resents Morgana for not appreciating the power her mother gave them. Kayle is a bit of a Justice zealot, maybe a bit excessive sometimes. They are fighting Aatrox, a Darkin. Darkin used to be Shuriman ascended, but got corrupted by the void in the Icathian war. They learned blood magic and were far too powerful, so the celestials banished most of them, and trapped the rest inside their own weapons. Aatrox is inside the blade, the body we see in this cinematic is just a random person that took Aatrox's blade. Aatrox then takes over the body and can control it and upgrade it with blood magic, while his conscience is still inside the blade. He hates anything celestial related, because he blames the celestials for the suffering he had to endure all his life. That's why he also hates celestial aspects like Morgana and Kayle. Then we have an old Yasuo, in the far future. We can see his classic nose scar. At the end of his scene we see the shadow of the wolf and the arrow of the lamb, and we see how he embraces it, we just saw Yasuo's death. The Kindred, are the spirit of the death in Runeterra. The Lamb gives eternal rest and a swift death with her arrow, for those that accept their deaths. But the wolf gives a ferocious battle for those that try to run from their fate. And we have Tryndamere. He once fought Aatrox and lost, but gained the blood magic that Aatrox uses. So now tryndamere, when he is enraged, becomes nearly immortal, like his will to keep fighting. That's why that last fight scene is just symbolic, he actually was fighting those soldiers, but seemed like he was fighting against death itself. But then Ashe came to save him. Really recommend to check out Kindred champion teaser as well as their voicelines (recommend the channel justanothernobody) Also Yasuo cinematics: The Path an Ionian Myth, followed by Kin of the Stained blade. Also, Tryndamere is named after one of the two founders. And Ashe is the name of his wife. The other founder of Riot is Ryze, who's also a champion ( the rune wars champion). I don't know if those are their actual names or just nicknames lol
the sean bean character is tyrnd and the girl is ashe their married in lore the angels are sister morgana and kayle fighting aatrox , the older gent in old man yasuo
The three stories are all tied to Kindred. They are like the embodiment of death in league, Lamb (the character with the bow and mask) represents the acceptance of death and Wolf represents the violent struggle against it, together they are death. The song is Kindred reminding you that they are still there, death is never far away. (and they will always be there, in the past, the present and the future as you can see is also a theme in this video) In the scene with Kayle and Morgana (Daughters to the aspect of justice, kinda celestial beeings, from Demacia) fighting Aatrox (a darkin) you can see Kindred in the fire at the end of the scene. (they are there for the army behind Aatrox close to the end, since we know that the three main characters are still alive since this is an event from the past) The scene with Yasuo (in a future vision) You can in the tree line see Wolf's eyes, but since Yasuo accepted his death Lamb's arrow is the one that took him out. And lastly Tryndamere at the end defies both Wolf and Lamb, fighting against death, with Lamb then lowering her bow at the end as he is saved by Ashe (his wife, both from Freljord yes). And also see how it implied that he's the only one seeing wolf and lamb as this fight happens since he is on the brink of death, litterally staring death into it's eyes, and he's acctually in another fight against other humans that you can see Ashe shoot at the end to save him, and you see Kindred dissapear since he is no longer "supposed to die". (Tryndameres ultimate in game is that he kinda gets too angry to die, which is basically whats shown here, but this is how he sees it.) "Tomorrow is a hope, never a promise" - Kindred
That old samurai guy that you were thinking was Yasuo is actually Yasuo and Yones master, Master Souma. Also Taliyah is Yasuo's apprentice, the hair tie Yasuo has was a gift from Taliyah when they parted ways.
15:08 I would like to take this time to affirm that you should not play the game. Feel free to watch Arcane, play Legends of Runeterra, play Song of Nunu, play Ruined King, play The Mageseeker, read the stories, listen to fan songs, just stay away from League of Legends.
not many point out but when Kayle shoots Aatrox, the soul of the body possessed by Aatrox has accepted death, that's why Lamb's shadow appears in fire.
The last fight is absolutely perfect. You see the man is Tryndamere, someone who is LITERALLY too angry to die. He essentially has the ability to call upon his rage to defy death, even when he is on the brink of death - he will not die. The two creatures are actually just one being split into two bodies called Kindred - The Lamb and The Wolf. They are Runeterra's ACTUAL embodiment of Death. The Grim Reaper essentially. Kindred is obviously upset because Tryndamere refuses to die, thus disrupting the natural order of things. Tryndamere fights with Death itself and is actually holding his own, ain't that metal. Thing is, Kindred only appears when Tryndamere is ACTUALLY about to die, it will not take him prematurely, it refuses to. But when Ashe comes in and kills the barbarians that were about to kill Tryndamere, Kindred backs off, knowing that Tryndamere is no longer about to die.
The arrow girl and the wolf called Kindred. They are death. The dude with the sword at the end, he cheats Death when fighting enemies. So whenever he uses his ultimate, he sees Kindred which is death itself. The archer girl show up at the end actualy his wife. So when his wife come to save him, Kindred leave because there is no life to collect anymore.
Man they did Aatrox dirty in this (the red demon in the first clip). He's immortal and cannot be killed, he believes by ending everything that exists he'll be set free of his curse. His mission is to end all of existence so he can finally die too
I feel like you are overpowering aatrox a little bit. Yes aatrox is very strong but morgana dark magic is also strong and if you take a good look at the cinematic aatrox wipes the floor with both of them and it takes their most powerful magic to weaken aatrox so no he is not weak in the trailer
Ok, so the first scene involves 3 champions: Morgana with purple, her sister Kayle with the more metal and gold and Attrox. It takes place 1000 years prior yo current day as van be seen by the older wooden gates vs modern demacia's heavy petricite stone walls and architecture. Kayle and Morgans are something called aspects, essentially godlike beings inhabiting the bodies of mortals and taking over their very beings, kayle snd morgana are different however as they're actually the daughters of an aspect and thus inherited her powers rather than just being a case of possession, each taking one of her blades. Eventually the two would split under diametrically opposed views of their aspect of justice, Kayle will become fiercely draconian in her views and end up shaping demacia under that side of the coin, morgana would effectively forsake her divinity even binding her wings and embody the more empathetic and caring side of justice with a more folk like reverence of the populace. Attrox is actually the sword, a member of a cast of ancient sharima who went mad and was sealed in his weapon, the person wielding the blade is taken over and essentially turned into his mortal form. The second features Yasuo in the future, at the point of his death, with the arrow that takes him out being that of kindred. And that brings us to the last setpiece, this is in modern day and features tryndamere, an avirosan warrior and husband to ashe, the woman who comes in at the end who is the leader of their tribe. Tryndamere is getting killed by members of what appear to be the Winter's Claw tribe at which point he sees kindred and starts fighting for his life. Kindred is the psychopomp of the league of legends setting, made up of two parts. Lamb tepresents a peaceful death and will shoot those who welcome their death with an arrow ending things in an instant. Wolf however, represents a violent death, he will brutally hunt and ravage those who flee or fight their own death. It is worth noting Kindred are not exactly a literal physical entity, at least not strictly. While tryndamere appears to be fighting them from his perspective, this is because he's in his ingame ultimate, a raging frenzy literally fighting off death whilein the tral world he's cutting down his attackers and potentially losing. The instant however that ashe arrives to save him, ge is no longer at risk of death so kindred gives up.
this Cinematic is trying to get the trust us league players had in 2019 and 2020 in them. they lost league players trust in 2022 and 2023, so this is their attempt to get us to get rehyped, the title is part of this attempt to build back trust in riot, pretty much saying, we are sorry for not being there for the player base, but "i'm still here" meaning dont worry, riot listened and we are still here. this whole thing is about the past, preasent and future, another way of riot saying, here is what happened in the past, here is the future and is what the preasent is, please trust us again... thats what i got out of it
The song means death is "Still here" no matter if its past, future and present. Kindred took Aatrox in the past...as you can see by the shadow shape of Lamp on the flames signifying Kindred taking Aatrox after Kayle's attack...then he took future Yasuo signified by that light arrow and the wolf shadow in the background below the arrow on the end of the scene as Yasuo accepted his death...then Tryndamere trying to fight death in the present...The scene where Tryndamere was fighting Kindred (death) while he is berserk on his "Undying Rage" as he refuse to die during that time while Kindred tries to take him, while his real body was on berserk mode fighting the warriors, the scene where Kindred not shooting the last arrow signifies that Tryndamere yet again escape death because Ashe saves him and Kindred disappeared or the loom of death disappears for Tryndamere as Ashe saves his life. This is literally a cinematic about Kindred and what they do...
Okay so the cinematics are to tease the stories/lore to come in the year (USUALLY). The old man IS Yasuo (yasuold) now and the man and woman are Ashe and Tryndamere. They're in a relationship canonically!! p.s your pronunciation of Freljords is close is kinda based off your accent but i say "fre-le-ords"
The motif is Death / Kindred, and it shows in all the transitions. Lamb represents the peaceful death, Wolf the struggle. In the beginning, we see Tryndamere in the present on the verge of death, and he sees Kindred beginning to approach. Kayle and Morgana fight Aatrox in the past, managing to subdue him at the cost of Morgana using dark magic and thereby severing her faith with Kayle (as evidenced by Kayle picking up Morgana's half of the sword and ascending). Kindred is in the flames of that transition, only able to watch due to Aatrox being incapable of death despite his desire to die and be free of his prison of the sword that he has become. We go to the future, where old man Yasuo decides to use the wind that he swore to never use again, because perhaps he felt if he could not use it to save people in front of him, then why have it. He even coats his sword in it to not actually kill the invaders. However, at the end, he used his built up flow to cast a tornado to save the man, rather than to use a wind wall to protect himself from the volley, and peacefully accepts his death at the tip of Lamb's arrow which is the transition. Back to the present, we see Tryndamere fighting for his life against Kindred as he refuses to accept death; despite it being the soldiers, he only sees Lamb and Wolf. Lamb takes two to three shots at him just to test if he is willing to take the arrow and move on, but he is fighting Wolf to the bitter end. Long enough for Ashe to save him from the soldiers that would have caused his demise, thereby causing Kindred to fade, as Tryndamere is no longer at Deaths' door.
basically the plot is Past-Present-Future: Past: is represented by the 2 Aspects of Justice or more like her Twin Children who inherited parts of her powers vs Aatrox the Darkin who is basically a fallen aspect, Kayle (the light haired) and Morgana (the dark haired) both inherited their swords from their mother and are Half Aspects and Half Human, Morgana during the fight chose to let go of her Aspect Powers and use Human/Mortal Magic in Order to stop Aatrox while Kayle disgusted by her sisters desicion to lower herself picks up the sword and defeats Aatrox, they are basically the Divine Entities Demacia worships and the land they fought on will later become demacia Future: is represented by Yasuo a Swordsman of Ionia who got blamed for killing his Master and later accidentally killed his brother (there is a whole cinematic explaining that) we basically see his last minutes before he willingly accepts Death knowing running is futile either way Present: is represented by Tryndamere, basically a Barbarian King in Freljord who once faced Aatrox like Kayle and Morgana and impressed him so much he basically gave him immortality as long as he is in rage, he is married to Ashe the Queen of the Freljord, what we see him face off is Kindred aka Lamb and Wolf the 2 personifactions of Death itself, Lamb kills those that accept it gently while Wolf hunts those that are trying to run from it, what Tryn actually fights are those soldiers him facing Kindred is just a visual metaphor as we know he is basically immortal as long as he has rage and as he slowly seems to get exhausted and accept his death (Lamb is already aiming the bow) Ashe his wife saves him, back during the beginning their marriage was just formal but over the time they geniunly fell in Love with each other as you see in his eyes becoming normal from all the rage If you slowly go through it Kindred Symbols are all over the 3 scenes, this was Lore heaven for League players :D
Ironic that the character you called sean bean and would die immediately is the character with the ability to literally not die 😂Also old man is actually yasuo its a new skin for him in game.
Glad you enjoyed it :) if you want to understand it you can react to necrit as he explains/tells stories of league world. He is somewhat the Voice behind Story, at least for me, if it´s nothing for you, I have for you some suggestions you can try to react: 1. Aatrox(demonic red guy) voice lines/quotes (you can watch his cinematic and read his story) very sad and torturing one. You will probably fall into rabbit hole of Darkin race(dark blood magic users) 2. Kindred(Death of League a.k.a Lamb and Wolf) Voice lines/quotes + their story: my favorite one and very chilling 3.Morgana and Kayle Story: very old and real in a sense of family fights and believes of different people/different views on world -Yours dearest Viewer
The wolf and the masked archer are kindred. Both death. The lamb takes the willing, and the wolf takes those who resist. Sean Bean is Tryndamere, who's ultimate in the game is unyielding spirit or something and it makes it so that he literally won't die for a short time. This would be depicting Kindred coming for Tryndamere and bashing against his strong will not to die. That's where the little tilt of lambs head came from, confusion because he should be dead to wolf. He survived death long enough that Kindred pulled back and Ashe, the final archer showed up. She's Tryndamere's wife. This whole sequence really stole this cinematic and its why I went to it first. The first scene is Kayle (white wings) and Morgana (purple wings) who are celestial aspects. Incredibly powerful. The big red and black guy is Aatrox, a darkin. Also Incredibly powerful. The darkin are ancient ascended warriors who tried to use blood magic to get stronger, did become stronger, but it corrupted their minds and made them dangerous. So they couldn't be killed, but could be trapped in prisons. The prisons are weapons and when someone wields those, the darkin can overpower the host. Aatrox is actually the sword. I believe, that lore I'm not super familiar with. This scene is far in the past. Kayle and Morgana go on different paths from here with Kayle becoming justice and Morgana pain. The middle scene is hard. I'm not versed in lore enough to say who this is. It could be Yasuo, but I'm going to take a controversial stab and say it's his master who he let die. I'm probably wrong, but all these events happened in the past, so it would be weird to have one way in the future. Yasuo abandoned his guard which let his master die if I recall and maybe this is depicting that event. Someone feel free to correct me if this isn't possibly that.
the "Sean" character is name Tryndamere and his entire tribe was slayn by Aatrox and his followers. (aatrox is the Darkin(demon guy)that is fighring Kayle and Morgana the twin aspect of justice.(angel ladies))
My personal favourite of the characters is Morgana(purple valkyrie), but Kindred(Both the wolf and the lamb at the end, and throughout the trailer) by far is the best in that trailer.
Ashe and tryndamere is also a couple, yes they both husband and wife, a chieftess and a barbarian, Also i love when kindred voice line at the begining, and when he appear on the cinematic its so good
Tryndamere is surrounded by Winters Claw warriors. Kayle (White wings) & her sister Morgana twin Aspects of Justice fighting Aatrox the most powerful Darkin (blood magic corrupted Ascended god warriors) and his army of followers or fanatics. This is canonically the 1st time Aatrox gets sealed in his weapon till he's released centuries later. In Kayles flames, you can glimpse Kindred Lamb as a shadow. Old man Yasuo is a vision given to young Yasuo by Kindred of his death. Kindred is basically death, and in the forest, after Yasuo hits the whirlwind, you can see Kindred Wolfs shadow as his eyes open, just before Kindred Lambs arrow kills Old man Yasuo. Tryndamere enters Undying Rage, which is why his fight against the Winters Claw see's him fighting Kindreds Wolf & Lamb till Tryndamere's wife Ashe arrives to support him and he releases his rage and you see the Winters Claw warriors dead on the ground!
15:10 Just to remind you.. the game "Song of Nunu" you will love it. It is a 10 hour game about the champion Nunu in Frelijord. Music 10/10, art 10/10, storyline 9/10. The only thing is...the game is really short. 10 hours to beat. Otherwise the best game Riot Games made so far. (has a 10/10 on steam)
Yes, he's Yasuo but in the future🗡Valkyries are in the past, freljord people in the present, Yasuo in the future. The wolf and lamb are the representation of death in runaterra (also characters in lol) wolf is violent death and lamb ends the life of those that accept death, literally Tryndamere defeated death right there.
First is past kayle and morgana sisters fighting AAtrox one of darkins Second is future what people beailve is old yasuo Third is present tryndamare fighting near death which is represent with him fighting the greem reaper of league lamb and wolf (kindred) When ashe (tryndra lover) shot arrows to protect him kindred stopped bcs he isnt going to die anymore, Idk if ashe x tryndra is lore couple it might be fan made
My favorite character is Ashe, the one with the bow at the end, but I can't play with her to save my life hahahaha. I'm much better with Morgana, which is the one with Purple hair.
You have to understand there's MANY characters in League's universe. You were right with Yasuo which is kinda funny since he looks very different from his current iteration. The cinematic is supposed to represent the past, the present, and it's future, with the reoccurring theme of death. Kayle and Morgana are the angels, who are indeed, sisters haha, they represent the past. Older Yasuo protecting his home from an invasion from I believe Noxus, he represents the future. Tryndamere and the person you thought was Kayle, the silver haired archer girl, that is Ashe, they're husband and wife. While the wolf and it's not as obvious but she is a lamb represent the two halves of what the two are referred to, Kindred. They're the omnipotent force of death in their world, also seen as the "Grim Reaper." How I see the theme of death correlating with Kayle and Morgana, is that Kindred can be seen in the flames, kinda like this whole interaction not that it began the cycle of death, but is a catalyst that will ignite the eventual spiral of death and violence on the world. Yasuo fights until the bitter end until he accepts death when the shower of arrows are over him, one particular arrow is silverish, which you can correlate to Lamb, with her choice of weapon being a bow and silverish arrows. And Tryndamere's struggle with death. Now Tryndamere is a barbarian sorta dude who has the unique quirk of being able to survive for a bit before he will be able to die. This is supposed to represent his struggle with fighting off death. When it shows him in the beginning this is supposed to be your clue to see that the surrounding has changed quite a lot from when we get to this ending, when it was light outside and there were people surrounding him, he is alone with only Kindred watching him, in pure darkness. He is currently in this spiritual realm trying to live, while also fighting the enemies in real life. The red in his eyes shows how berserk he is and how he is willing to fight until the end (which correlates with how he fights ingame). Keep in mind, noone else can see Kindred, so before Tryndamere dies to his enemies, Ashe saves him, stopping Kindred from taking him. It shows how much he loves her by his eyes changing from the red to his normal eye color, him softening to her.
It's a great game to play. Steep learning curve and maybe not easy to get into. But don't take it too serious and mute all chat and you'll have a grand time :)
The wolf and lamb are known as the Kindred, and they represent death itself. When someone is about to die, the Kindred will appear and offer them a choice. Accept death, and receive a peaceful exit at the hands of Lamb and her bow. Resist, and suffer a brutal end from Wolf and his fangs. This is an inevitable fate for most beings, but Tryndamere is not most beings. He’s actually tied to Aatrox, the red demon from this cinematic. Aatrox requires a host, but is so powerful that any host he finds burns out in a matter of days. That is until he finds Tryndamere. A brutal battle between the two leaves Tryndamere about to die, but Aatrox sensed that Tryndamere was powerful enough to potentially become a permanent host for him. Aatrox could have forcibly taken over Tryndamere but in order to achieve the perfect union he sought he needed Tryndamere’s consent, the two needed to be in sync in both body and mind. And so, to prevent Tryndameres death, Aatrox used blood magic to heal Tryndamere and augment his body so that he will be extremely difficult to kill, and is now on a constant mission to convince Tryndamere to allow the two of them to merge. And that’s why every time Tryndamere is about to die, in that small window of time before the blood magic can save him, the Kindred make their move and attempt to end what they see as something that has evaded them for far too long
Play league this year, it will be a better experience to new players due to the changes they are doing to the matchmaking system. People tell you not to play it because it's a game that really messes with your emotions. You'll love playing it, but it will make you more frustrated than almost anything else in your life. LOL I'm a LOL player since 2009. I just can't stop playing it, even if it's 2 or 3 matches A YEAR, but I still play it.
Just buy the novels, read through the short stories, experience everything before Arcane decanonizes all the hard work they put into this world for years.
the demon dude aAtrox the two valkeries looking morgana purple_ kyle white hair and blond power up tryndmare the one who was fighting the lamb and the wolf the wolf and the hairy girl both are kindred and they are death for now ash is the one who saved trynmdare seemingly before his rage ends and basically 2024 is going to be the update for league of legends stories as a whole so there is no more multiveses to extend and arcane now should be cannon and hold true with the storyline
bro... even an arcane fan who just follows league for its lore can tell that that was yasou 😑😑 this just made me even more disappointed of og league players and lore fanatics who cant even tell an older version of a character which had, mind you, the exact same facial description of the younger version with similar scars and abilities and yet people cant tell if that was yasou or not and continue to insists it was yasou's master soma like bruh
This cinematic was definitely better than last year's but I kinda expected a bit more, especially since this was made by the same company as "The Call" (Unit Image). The way they made The Call with the music and transitions was just immaculate, but I'll take this than last year's any day hahaha.
So basically the valkyries you adore are called Kayle and Morgana. And lorewise they are not a big deal for that big red dude named Aatrox. I mean it when I say but lately Riot is emphasizing on "everything from now on is cannon" type of thing. It kinda scares me if they somehow revert Aatrox's powers and make him less of a threat. But for all we know for now is that he can slam these two ladies with ease.
Not that true. Aatrox is one of the most powerful champs lorewise, however Morgana and Kayle are (Morgana lost a good chunk of her powers later on) the most powerful aspects after Zoe, the top of the food chain basically. Aatrox has killed an aspect before but that was also due to the aspect of war trolling hardcore just because he didn't like Atreus. However, Kayle would definitly be a solo match for aatrox in her present form.
Sorry about that, Benjamin! I usually try to remember to include a time code to skip to on the longer intros. Believe me, some are MUCH longer than this! XD
@@VeggieGamer I wasn't upset by it at all and please feel no need to apologize regardless. You take the time and effort to do what you are doing. I was merely giving what I believed to be a piece of information that may be helpful to you. I hope you have a great weekend!
@@pikmints It's Yasuo

Theyve releasing a skin of oldsuo, apparently this is a vision he received of the future, one of many he sees in his dreams or something. Its one of many potential paths for him or something.
The Valkyries are the Aspects of Justice. The scene is from the early days of demacia, so very far in the past. You should react to/read the lore of Kayle and Morgana. I loved their scene here. Notice the absolute disdain in the blonde ones eyes as she walks past the purple one
YES!! I noticed that look she gives her while editing! Now I am intrigued!

It does make sense that everytime Tryndamere ULTs, he has to fight death himself right?

I think Aatrox is a god of war
@@TheHemmo112 aatrox is a darkin and actually reponsible for the death of the aspect of war
@@90bubbel60 not the aspect but he killed the actual god, War.
If you look in the fire at the end of the scene you can see Kindred's figure implying that she's also there to collect the dead
Second scene is in the Future with Old man Yasuo, at the end a rain of arrows was headed towards him, he accepts death so Kindred's glowing arrow can be seen and also the wolf is staring in the shadows
Third is Tryndamere in the present, He was about to die so he actually saw Kindred.
Local barbarian too angry to die, fights Death. More at 11.
You need to react to kindred’s voice lines and learn about them to better understand that ending. Love their character design
i can just say that the necrit breakdown video for the cinematic is a great starter if you wanna know more about the characters, its very beginner friendly, even if you dont wanna make a reaction to it.
Seeing Morgana and Kayle fighting together in the past is my favorite part hands down.
Lore guy here:
0. Scene
Tryndamere is dying. Warriors closing at him.
1. Scene
They are Kayle (yellow one) and Morgana (purple one).
2. Scene
This is a possible future. The sword guy is old Yasuo, a practicioner of the wind technique. At the end arrows are shot at him, Kindred(Wolf) is visible in the trees (eyes) and blue arrow is Kindred(Lamb)'s arrow as he accepts death.
3. Scene
This is the present. (Kindred isn't a physical thing, more like in his head, Kindred is a very complicated character to tell)
I think this should be enough, to better understand the cinematic.
I hope I explained everything in a understandable way.
my favorite part is morgana dropping her helmet and leaving her sword behind which is in the present day, in the hands of kayle her sister, morgana gave up on divinity to embrace humanity, and despite her looking more evil, she is the side of justice focus on redemption, you could see kayle like the spanish inquisition meet the crusades incarnate.
kayle side eye is a nod to their lore relationship, also in game when kayle use her heal she sometimes say "flame purifies!" if she does that on morgana she responds "oh, am i pure now, sister?"
tryndamere fighting for his life while literally fighting death itself was really cool
@@JazzBeDamned Yes, i know i know he wasn't literally fighting Kindred, but you definitely explained it better then me :)
Daughters of a host of an Aspect, not a Celestial.

Let’s be real here. This is a Kindred Cinematic, everyone else is there to be reminded that they are death incarcerate.
Gosh I love Kindred!
Sean Bean could definitely use some undying rage for sure
Kindred was HAUNTING in this im so obsessed. It makes me want to try them again though Ive struggled with their mark system everytime lol
Thats simply what is going on
If you want to be really lore dumped, tomorow Necrit, the Lore Master of Runetera will drop breakdown of this trailer! You can make reaction to it 🙂
The tryndamere scene was really cool, hes ultimate in the game keeps him alive for a few seconds. and in that scene hes fighting off death (kindred), hes fighting a battle not directly with kindred but with people on the field, but hes fighting off kindred in his undying state, before his ult goes off which would basically mean the end of him, ashe shoots two arrows killing the guys that were about to kill him, kindred sees this and sees its not tryndameres time yet and leaves.
When kindred puts her bow down, it represents that it wasn't tryndamere's time to die yet since Ashe, Tryndamere's wife, came to save him
a little bit of contest:
first scene: kayle (the blond angel) and morgana (the purple angel) r sisters fighting aatrox a darkin (idk much abt that fight tbh)
2d scene: that old man is Yasuo that scene haad me crying (maybe maayyyybe he finally found peace upon him that s why he was using a stick instead of a sword at the beggining) and at the end of the scene u can see 2 red eyes in the forest, that s kindred coming for yasuo s soul. yasuo closed his eye accepting his fate (that s what i think).
Kindred is my fave, Veggie! Arguably the best death aspect in fantasy writing.
This is cinematic masterpiece.
Valkyries = Kayle and Morgana, (white and purple wings respectively) Sisters born to a mother who became an Aspect of reality while pregnant and shared her powers of that aspect with her children (Aspect of Justice)
Old Guy = Yasuo, swordsman who was framed for murdering his master, killed his pursuing brother, then went to find the real killer.
I love Kindred's lore entry - as no one liked death, it decided to separate itself into two part , one is the wolf and the other is the lamb.
"The guy who looks like Sean Bean is going to die by the end of the trailer". My brother in christ......
So since you're into the lore, here is the full detailed breakdown;
The cinematic is ultimately all about Kindred (the Lamb and the Wolf), the Runeterran depiction of Death or the Grim Reaper, and her omnipresence.
Look them up on youtube!)
In the present, we have Tryndamere fighting enemies in the woods of Freljord.
I don't know all the details but here is my best summary of it:
Darkins were once human soldiers who served Emperor Azir (another champion) of Shurima.
Also Kindred is Death itself. Lamb is peaceful and the wolf is for those who fight death.
Some more interesting things if you think about the lore. In both the future, and present fights. You see both the lamb and the wolf where in the past, you only see the lamb because demacia primarily believes in the lamb
I literally LIVE for you reacting to league lol
Really recommend to check out Kindred champion teaser as well as their voicelines (recommend the channel justanothernobody)
Also Yasuo cinematics: The Path an Ionian Myth, followed by Kin of the Stained blade.
(and they will always be there, in the past, the present and the future as you can see is also a theme in this video)
In the scene with Kayle and Morgana (Daughters to the aspect of justice, kinda celestial beeings, from Demacia) fighting Aatrox (a darkin) you can see Kindred in the fire at the end of the scene. (they are there for the army behind Aatrox close to the end, since we know that the three main characters are still alive since this is an event from the past)
The scene with Yasuo (in a future vision) You can in the tree line see Wolf's eyes, but since Yasuo accepted his death Lamb's arrow is the one that took him out.
(Tryndameres ultimate in game is that he kinda gets too angry to die, which is basically whats shown here, but this is how he sees it.)
"Tomorrow is a hope, never a promise" - Kindred
That old samurai guy that you were thinking was Yasuo is actually Yasuo and Yones master, Master Souma. Also Taliyah is Yasuo's apprentice, the hair tie Yasuo has was a gift from Taliyah when they parted ways.
its not, its yasuo himself
His mission is to end all of existence so he can finally die too
Aatrox isn't dead, this is a past event, he will always come back.
@@itsnooya8862 I know, they just made him seem weak especially getting chained by morgana which in lore he would absolutely destroy them
Simp lol. Bad news for u, Aatrox has known more defeat than victories in his league stories. He loses to Panth, to Kayle (in LoR)
How did he seem weak he’s literally 1v2ing more and kayle lol. They both had to do their ults just to beat him.
The instant however that ashe arrives to save him, ge is no longer at risk of death so kindred gives up.
this Cinematic is trying to get the trust us league players had in 2019 and 2020 in them. they lost league players trust in 2022 and 2023, so this is their attempt to get us to get rehyped, the title is part of this attempt to build back trust in riot, pretty much saying, we are sorry for not being there for the player base, but "i'm still here" meaning dont worry, riot listened and we are still here. this whole thing is about the past, preasent and future, another way of riot saying, here is what happened in the past, here is the future and is what the preasent is, please trust us again... thats what i got out of it
It's be cool to see you react to individual champions some time. Their lore, skins, interactions and voic lines 😅
Long enough for Ashe to save him from the soldiers that would have caused his demise, thereby causing Kindred to fade, as Tryndamere is no longer at Deaths' door.
basically the plot is Past-Present-Future:
Past: is represented by the 2 Aspects of Justice or more like her Twin Children who inherited parts of her powers vs Aatrox the Darkin who is basically a fallen aspect, Kayle (the light haired) and Morgana (the dark haired) both inherited their swords from their mother and are Half Aspects and Half Human, Morgana during the fight chose to let go of her Aspect Powers and use Human/Mortal Magic in Order to stop Aatrox while Kayle disgusted by her sisters desicion to lower herself picks up the sword and defeats Aatrox, they are basically the Divine Entities Demacia worships and the land they fought on will later become demacia
Future: is represented by Yasuo a Swordsman of Ionia who got blamed for killing his Master and later accidentally killed his brother (there is a whole cinematic explaining that) we basically see his last minutes before he willingly accepts Death knowing running is futile either way
Present: is represented by Tryndamere, basically a Barbarian King in Freljord who once faced Aatrox like Kayle and Morgana and impressed him so much he basically gave him immortality as long as he is in rage, he is married to Ashe the Queen of the Freljord, what we see him face off is Kindred aka Lamb and Wolf the 2 personifactions of Death itself, Lamb kills those that accept it gently while Wolf hunts those that are trying to run from it, what Tryn actually fights are those soldiers him facing Kindred is just a visual metaphor as we know he is basically immortal as long as he has rage and as he slowly seems to get exhausted and accept his death (Lamb is already aiming the bow) Ashe his wife saves him, back during the beginning their marriage was just formal but over the time they geniunly fell in Love with each other as you see in his eyes becoming normal from all the rage
If you slowly go through it Kindred Symbols are all over the 3 scenes, this was Lore heaven for League players :D
If you want more Yasuo, you gotta watch Kin of the Stained Blade which focuses on him and his brother.
If you’re done for it you can make videos about every champ other arcane watchers did the same like themes skins
RAIDENNNNNNN??? OH MAN THAT MADE ME POP :D
Ironic that the character you called sean bean and would die immediately is the character with the ability to literally not die 😂Also old man is actually yasuo its a new skin for him in game.
Glad you enjoyed it :) if you want to understand it you can react to necrit as he explains/tells stories of league world. He is somewhat the Voice behind Story, at least for me, if it´s nothing for you, I have for you some suggestions you can try to react:
1. Aatrox(demonic red guy) voice lines/quotes (you can watch his cinematic and read his story) very sad and torturing one. You will probably fall into rabbit hole of Darkin race(dark blood magic users)
2. Kindred(Death of League a.k.a Lamb and Wolf) Voice lines/quotes + their story: my favorite one and very chilling
3.Morgana and Kayle Story: very old and real in a sense of family fights and believes of different people/different views on world
-Yours dearest Viewer
that demon guy in first battle you should learn who he is
I like your hat
If it means anything out of all still here reactors i pressed you bcs of cool hat
I completely understand! The hat is over!
Ashe and tryndamere is also a couple, yes they both husband and wife, a chieftess and a barbarian,
Also i love when kindred voice line at the begining, and when he appear on the cinematic its so good
Demon guy is Aatrox u should react to his voicelines is one of the best
Kindred literally Death Itself
First is past kayle and morgana sisters fighting AAtrox one of darkins
Second is future what people beailve is old yasuo
Third is present tryndamare fighting near death which is represent with him fighting the greem reaper of league lamb and wolf (kindred)
When ashe (tryndra lover) shot arrows to protect him kindred stopped bcs he isnt going to die anymore,
Idk if ashe x tryndra is lore couple it might be fan made
they are husband and wife
They're the omnipotent force of death in their world, also seen as the "Grim Reaper."
How I see the theme of death correlating with Kayle and Morgana, is that Kindred can be seen in the flames, kinda like this whole interaction not that it began the cycle of death, but is a catalyst that will ignite the eventual spiral of death and violence on the world.
You are the only person who compares Yasuo to Raiden, bro. 🤣
And that’s why every time Tryndamere is about to die, in that small window of time before the blood magic can save him, the Kindred make their move and attempt to end what they see as something that has evaded them for far too long
New subscriber here
Play league this year, it will be a better experience to new players due to the changes they are doing to the matchmaking system.
People tell you not to play it because it's a game that really messes with your emotions. You'll love playing it, but it will make you more frustrated than almost anything else in your life. LOL
I'm a LOL player since 2009. I just can't stop playing it, even if it's 2 or 3 matches A YEAR, but I still play it.
Just buy the novels, read through the short stories, experience everything before Arcane decanonizes all the hard work they put into this world for years.
the demon dude aAtrox
the two valkeries looking morgana purple_ kyle white hair and blond power up
tryndmare the one who was fighting the lamb and the wolf
the wolf and the hairy girl both are kindred and they are death for now
ash is the one who saved trynmdare seemingly before his rage ends
and basically 2024 is going to be the update for league of legends stories as a whole so there is no more multiveses to extend
and arcane now should be cannon and hold true with the storyline
bro... even an arcane fan who just follows league for its lore can tell that that was yasou 😑😑 this just made me even more disappointed of og league players and lore fanatics who cant even tell an older version of a character which had, mind you, the exact same facial description of the younger version with similar scars and abilities and yet people cant tell if that was yasou or not and continue to insists it was yasou's master soma like bruh
However, Kayle would definitly be a solo match for aatrox in her present form.
over 3 minutes in before getting to the reaction. You're gonna lose a lot of folks by and before that mark.
Please react to the Morgana and Kayle's lore, the 2 angels you saw in the beggining.
