    If this were in the US or Canada that sinkhole would take months to fix and restore, and the surrounding business sure as hell wouldn't receive ANY compensation for lost earnings.

      Same here in the UK, there's a small one Lane bridge about 15m long over the river mole not far from my house under repair, 6 months it's going to take! Look it up I'm not bullshiting you, flanchford Road Bridge repair Surrey.

    We need these lads over here in the uk, They take about 3 years to change a road layout and add a bridge. Japan fixes a massive hole with in a week.

    In Bristol, England it took two years to rebuild the road after a collapse,,in Spain similar work took two weeks!

    I read that they fix that giant sinkhole in 2 days. Here in America, pot holes are left for years in neighborhood streets. and if any resident fill the pot holes up with dirt, sand, or gravel ; it's against the law. WTF right?

      In my county (high density urban area in DC suburb) we had a small overpass/bridge (not highway) that took 2.5 years to fix making it very inconvenient to detour. It's ridiculous. Something as huge as the Hoover Dam took 5 years

    In the U.S. the Unions would demand that the weather be exactly 72 degrees and sunny and guaranteed 1 year of fulltime work at $ 300 per hour with benefits including gourmet sushi prepared by a chef. Lol.

    Where I work we had an underground pipe leak. About $8000 in water. Took 2 weeks just to find, 4 eight foot holes, $32,000 in digging costs. Total leak time from discovery to repair. 3 weeks.

    In the USA it would take 400 million dollars and 3 years later to draw up a possible proposition to fix. Add 5 more years of traffic cones with no work getting done, then 4 years of work, and then 3 billion dollars later half of it would be done and then going back to court to secure additional funds.

      I didn't saw any sinkhole yet in Romania, but there are several landslides on mountain roads which usually take optimistically 1 year to fix and up to 5 or so, depends on how much traffic. Till fix they just put a sign in the middle of it.

    40cm puddle hole on the road repaired after it *gone viral* because it causes few lethal accidents that take several humans life and another puddles created, with *6 month's* work and the road can be passed by after *2 years*

    Everyone overestimates Japan. 🇯🇵
    This happened in the big city so it was quick to recover. If there is a hole in the Japanese countryside, the Japanese will leave it for a few years.

    USA needs to get things done when they do fix roads usually the bumps are still present Im not sure why they cant build bridges with smooth transitions either they have huge gaps in pavement on bridges and the roadway is severly uneven -Ive been seeing the same holes and bumps in roads for over 45 years when they do repave the road they dont solve the problems they simply pave over .doesnt seem right
