This is absolutely incredible. I would love to watch a documentary/explanatory video to break down their process in dealing with this. We could all learn from their problem solving skills and construction practices
If this were in the US or Canada that sinkhole would take months to fix and restore, and the surrounding business sure as hell wouldn't receive ANY compensation for lost earnings.
Same here in the UK, there's a small one Lane bridge about 15m long over the river mole not far from my house under repair, 6 months it's going to take! Look it up I'm not bullshiting you, flanchford Road Bridge repair Surrey.
I read that they fix that giant sinkhole in 2 days. Here in America, pot holes are left for years in neighborhood streets. and if any resident fill the pot holes up with dirt, sand, or gravel ; it's against the law. WTF right?
In my county (high density urban area in DC suburb) we had a small overpass/bridge (not highway) that took 2.5 years to fix making it very inconvenient to detour. It's ridiculous. Something as huge as the Hoover Dam took 5 years
In the U.S. the Unions would demand that the weather be exactly 72 degrees and sunny and guaranteed 1 year of fulltime work at $ 300 per hour with benefits including gourmet sushi prepared by a chef. Lol.
Where I work we had an underground pipe leak. About $8000 in water. Took 2 weeks just to find, 4 eight foot holes, $32,000 in digging costs. Total leak time from discovery to repair. 3 weeks. AMERICA
In the USA it would take 400 million dollars and 3 years later to draw up a possible proposition to fix. Add 5 more years of traffic cones with no work getting done, then 4 years of work, and then 3 billion dollars later half of it would be done and then going back to court to secure additional funds.
I didn't saw any sinkhole yet in Romania, but there are several landslides on mountain roads which usually take optimistically 1 year to fix and up to 5 or so, depends on how much traffic. Till fix they just put a sign in the middle of it.
*Japan* Massive sinkhole repaired *suddenly* with only *2 days* work and can be passed by after *a week* *Indonesia* 40cm puddle hole on the road repaired after it *gone viral* because it causes few lethal accidents that take several humans life and another puddles created, with *6 month's* work and the road can be passed by after *2 years*
Akira pops up and they are Johnny on the spot with the rebuild 😅😊 Man that was fast! My streets potholes have grandchildren they've been around so long, and not nearly as deep 😅
Everyone overestimates Japan. 🇯🇵 This happened in the big city so it was quick to recover. If there is a hole in the Japanese countryside, the Japanese will leave it for a few years.
In Canada it would cost millions & million of dollars and somehow take years to Fix While complaining they don't have enough Money!!.. the Government than gives a couple more Millions and the work is Somehow still not Done.... 😑😑😑
As if the speed and efficiency are not sufficient, the city govt. is compensating the traders who lost business during repairs it seems! Is there any other country on earth with this kind of care-taking?? India, perhaps, is the other extreme...
USA needs to get things done when they do fix roads usually the bumps are still present Im not sure why they cant build bridges with smooth transitions either they have huge gaps in pavement on bridges and the roadway is severly uneven -Ive been seeing the same holes and bumps in roads for over 45 years when they do repave the road they dont solve the problems they simply pave over .doesnt seem right

Someone recorded how they fixed it. I remember it was on RUclips
If this were in the US or Canada that sinkhole would take months to fix and restore, and the surrounding business sure as hell wouldn't receive ANY compensation for lost earnings.
I think you mean years.
Same here in the UK, there's a small one Lane bridge about 15m long over the river mole not far from my house under repair, 6 months it's going to take! Look it up I'm not bullshiting you, flanchford Road Bridge repair Surrey.
Similarly , if it was happened in Nepal, the high chance to fix it will be 0.000000000000000001% or maybe would never be fixed!
Florida
@crzykoment Nah, it'd never get restored at all. Can confirm as I'm living in one.
It is incredible, in just seven days that giant sinkhole was repaired.
HOW?
Hey Ichigo will kill you in future. Be careful, he becomes a demon
wrr
We are intelligent nation of people here in Japan, next to Africa's intelligence.
※ONLY in major cities
If this was in the UK it would still be there for many years. This is Japanese efficiency Great job to all in volved.!!
@fordhos747 if this was in nepal it would be there for decades...
In Mexico they would just fill it with water all the way and charge you to swim
Lol
Damn, Japanese do be fast but them Mexicans are smart bro
🤣🤣🤣🤣😀
Can't wait to swim in da poop water
Omg I laughed out loud at this!!!
They fixed a huge motorway in 2 days after an earthquake
No time wasted, as always, the Japanese.
Giant Sinkholes Not Good
they wasted 30 years of economic development
We need these lads over here in the uk, They take about 3 years to change a road layout and add a bridge. Japan fixes a massive hole with in a week.
In Bristol, England it took two years to rebuild the road after a collapse,,in Spain similar work took two weeks!
If it's in India. 25 years old me and my great grandson in future will take pictures, standing near that hole
In Australia, it will take 10 years
In Croatia it would be tourist attraction
india will take 1000k year
I read that they fix that giant sinkhole in 2 days. Here in America, pot holes are left for years in neighborhood streets. and if any resident fill the pot holes up with dirt, sand, or gravel ; it's against the law. WTF right?
These japanese didn't waste a minute at all
fixed in 7 days....You got to hand it to the Japanese ... They have great work ethics
RESPECT...尊敬する
Its incredible a politician apologised and took blame!
0:46 Thats me in school when doing a large class project 😂
Lamo! Same!
looking at this as Vancouver is cut off from Canada due to mudslides, there's no way we fix a major mountain pass highway this fast.
LOL im from vancouver too, exact same thought. atleast they put a railway through?
Wow, respect the japanese
This is what no nonsense is when it comes to getting things done in japan. The states is nothing but crappy when it comes to fixing streets.
Meanwhile in Flint...
***** Yeah xD
It's for our DPWH to find out how did the Japanese do such an amazing job.
It's politicians' pockets and bureaucracy, on top of our third world state.
They care. From top to bottom they care about their country.
its not just with our roads but also escalators and elevators in shopping malls that take ages to fix causing too much inconvience to the mall goers!
Meanwhile in the US it would take a year for a road to get minor repairs.
Gary Indiana is an perfect example lol.
In my county (high density urban area in DC suburb) we had a small overpass/bridge (not highway) that took 2.5 years to fix making it very inconvenient to detour. It's ridiculous. Something as huge as the Hoover Dam took 5 years
When it comes to infrastructure no politics is involved in Japan. They just fix problems no questions asked.
In the U.S. the Unions would demand that the weather be exactly 72 degrees and sunny and guaranteed 1 year of fulltime work at $ 300 per hour with benefits including gourmet sushi prepared by a chef. Lol.
And then do a half ass job fixing it :\
Where I work we had an underground pipe leak. About $8000 in water. Took 2 weeks just to find, 4 eight foot holes, $32,000 in digging costs. Total leak time from discovery to repair. 3 weeks.
AMERICA
If this was in PH, this will take years to build.
not just the roads but also the broken escalators and elevators in malls!
Ta3na yun nga lang mga ginagawa ng mga lintik na maynilad umaabot ng ilang taon e 🤣
In the USA it would take 400 million dollars and 3 years later to draw up a possible proposition to fix. Add 5 more years of traffic cones with no work getting done, then 4 years of work, and then 3 billion dollars later half of it would be done and then going back to court to secure additional funds.
That's Japanese efficiency.
In India it takes a year ....
Time this would take in:
America: 3 weeks
UK: 1 month
Italy: 2 months
Eastern Europe: what sinkhole?
I didn't saw any sinkhole yet in Romania, but there are several landslides on mountain roads which usually take optimistically 1 year to fix and up to 5 or so, depends on how much traffic. Till fix they just put a sign in the middle of it.
In certain countries it would be turned into a swimming pool
REALLY DISAPPOINTED
THEY DO NOT SHOW
HOW THEY
FIX THE SEWER OR CABLES
OR GAS LINES ETC
Why should they?
Whoa these people wasted no time at all
iF tHiS wAs mY hOmEtOwN ..,.
Amazing how impressive Japan's workers are.
In the US will take years.... Potholes are not even fixed yet.... and in my area been there 3 years and pothole is still there....
En my country(Colombia) this will take 10 years to fix.
And I can see they cut corners. They didn't even repair the broken pipeing But you've filled it in that it
The workers are all in pristine clothes and just look at that broom!
in costa rica 1000000000000000000000000000000000000 years.
*Japan*
Massive sinkhole repaired *suddenly* with only *2 days* work and can be passed by after *a week*
*Indonesia*

Akira pops up and they are Johnny on the spot with the rebuild 😅😊 Man that was fast! My streets potholes have grandchildren they've been around so long, and not nearly as deep 😅
This would normally take 20,000 years in any other society
Everyone overestimates Japan. 🇯🇵
This happened in the big city so it was quick to recover. If there is a hole in the Japanese countryside, the Japanese will leave it for a few years.
I agree. Also, there might be a risk for that very fast rebuilding. I might be wrong but there’s little to no assurance that is safe to pass by.
田舎でもこれぐらいの穴ならすぐ直すよさすがに
In Malaysia sabah
Sinkhole size of a small 4 feet table can’t be fix over 8 years
They are still painting the Verrazano and the Outerbridge its been over 30 yrs.
In Canada it would cost millions & million of dollars and somehow take years to Fix While complaining they don't have enough Money!!.. the Government than gives a couple more Millions and the work is Somehow still not Done.... 😑😑😑
If this was in India we would have never fixed it and taken another way. Lol that's uor government and we corporate.
True that
How did they do it?
Yet in the UK they can’t fix a pot hole 😅
Construction workers worldwide will say its poor quality. While munching on a burger.
in the us, that would never be repaired.
People would start living there in my country
we can do that for a decade in my country lmao
7 days, 7 years, same same, in my country 7 years also enough
Japan gets stuff done... in America that would’ve taken weeks to months
if that happens in my country it will take 1 decade before the constrcution begins
And another decade to locate the funds haha
@@amerabucar4256 And another decade to finish it
Noob here. I thought rhat roads were massively safe. So there sre HOLES all over the place??? Why
and algeria 😢
There's a Filipino term for that: bayanihan
Here America that thing would have caused a 1 yr construction shut down , n cost probably 10 times more
monster sinkhole.
Ask them to come to tamil nadu and see how many years we are building the 1 km bridge...
As if the speed and efficiency are not sufficient, the city govt. is compensating the traders who lost business during repairs it seems! Is there any other country on earth with this kind of care-taking?? India, perhaps, is the other extreme...
Wow thats scary
In india political promise to repair road in 2 years
😂
USA needs to get things done when they do fix roads usually the bumps are still present Im not sure why they cant build bridges with smooth transitions either they have huge gaps in pavement on bridges and the roadway is severly uneven -Ive been seeing the same holes and bumps in roads for over 45 years when they do repave the road they dont solve the problems they simply pave over .doesnt seem right
meanwhile in PH
In japan I believe !
America could never
head down to Japan
Wow we need them here they would of been had cities in the US done. Takes them 100 years to finish here lol
Meanwhile in the US Donald Trump cries for a wall and GET IT lol
If this was indonesias sinkhole it will take hundred of years :)
In philippines it would take that 1 year
even escalators and elevators in our shopping malls take a year to be fixed too!
1 Tahun pertama akan jadi objek wisata di indonesia
bukan satu, tapi selamanya akan jadi objek wisata. kaya lumpur lapindo
Meth is a crazy drug
