Nice to see the new channel. This is a very 80s sounding album, and I’m here for it. Any chance of adding chapter markers for the songs? It’s not hard to do, just some text in the description.
Now that I’ve listened to the whole album, I see that it’s a chip music album. As a games console programmer from 1987 to 2002, I approve. This could certainly be reproduced fairly closely on an Amiga or a SNES back in the day.
@@the_hetman Wow, that's interesting. We had an Amiga growing up as kids, and so Amiga VGM is probably the lions share when it came to the inspiration behind this album. What consoles did you programme on? Sounds like you were there during some of the glory years! edit - In fact, it's interesting you mentioned the Amiga, because the very start of this album was me recording the sound of my amiga computer loading a floppy disk from the disk drive with a microphone! :D
@@JWsoundwork5 I worked at Rare Ltd from 87 to 92 on the NES, Gameboy and SNES as well as some custom arcade hardware. I did a lot on the SNES audio subsystem. Nintendo didn’t provide much of the details of the system, so I had to reverse engineer it. I ended up making a full development tool chain for it and writing an audio player for music and sfx. I went on to work on the Genesis/Megadrive, N64, PS2 and the PC.
@@the_hetman that’s properly cool, man! Really interesting. It blows my mind that someone who worked on some of the systems that helped inspire me to want to make music and then to pay homage to them with this album is here listening to that very music. The world is a very strange place!
Awesome - I remember listening to this when you first set up the patron tiers, but hadn't since. Jet Streams is still my favourite - but overall love the combination of the different synth patches and game effects with the arpeggios and everything else
Thank you, sir! Can't believe it's 10 years already since this came out. I have demos of some of these tracks on my computer dating back to 2011 / 2012 and I know I wrote some of the stuff before then. Time is flying by.
00:00 - Loading...

lol. listening to this album it feels like being back to my 80s playing amiga games 🙂 like that! 🙂
that's exactly what I was going for - glad to hear it! :) Thanks

Good idea on the song chapters - I'll get on that!

Are you a fan of Savant at all? Maybe it’s just the video game style, but he has a similar sound to this album.
@@zacharytaylor9244 never heard of him, dude.
