Thanks for the fast response :) What really impresses me the most about all your animations (even the simple ones) is the perfect timing of everything. Every motion and transition just looks like it's supposed to be (this is were I have the most troubles - my animation timings are purely based on trial&error to find the perfect curves etc.). I guess this comes with experience :) Again, great work - really inspiring to learn more :)
fipsfoxy - I believe that is how I worked on that animation a while ago. I heard someone say don't try messing with expressions/scripts unless you have to. They can get pretty complicated. However, if you do some repetitive work over and over it might be good to look into a good solution to save time. I would guess there are quite a few cube building scripts out there.
I was just kidding because I had just watched 6 minutes of animated logos. Granted, they're all fantastic, I just wasn't sure why I was compelled to watch all of them.
Hey Daniel, my name is simon and I to do motion graphics but more on the 3d side. I just wanted o say I thoroughly enjoy your videos and each and every one of them are very creative and well done. You should upload more!
The tailbiter logo is actually based off of the mythical creature Ouroboros, which is a serpent or a dragon eating its own tail. It represents introspection, the eternal return or cyclicality, or the infinite cycle of life and death or creation and destruction.
Most of the work involved in this was recreating the lines that were inside of the X. This just involved playing with angles and moving anchor points till I had similar curves within illustrator. Once I had the elements I used masks to animate them on. I add an optical flare to follow the same revealing path. The light effect was accomplished with cc light rays. I walk through my favorite logo animations in the description on my vimeo portfolio found here: vimeo (dot) com / spinmylogo
Sorry for the slow response! I must have misplaced this email notification. I mainly use illustrator to prepare the logos (sometimes photoshop). Then I animate them with after effects. I often use music tracks from smartsound. For larger team animations my team will use a variety of programs for developing the sound design, graphics, and 3d animation.
Howdy, I like this video. When you going to have more of these type of videos? If you want to get these same videos on page 1 of Google, I can definitely help you with that. Keep up the Great Work. Damon
Truly some stunning animations! I have an amateurish question though: I tried to reproduce the "Murumets" animation in AE and was able to copy it almost perfectly (uploaded the unpolished animation v=Hh2fGb8jYcA). Now I wonder, if my approach was the "smartest" way. Is the rotating cube just multiple 3d solids parented to a rotating null object, or is there a better way of achieving this effect (in AE)? Thanks in advance for any input! Cheers
+Kyle Chambers, Thanks for the kind words. My team is pretty awesome. I just edited them down for the "action" The slower build up/slow down of the logo animations isn't really necessary for this purpose of showing off our portfolio. You don't need to read all the text, just get an idea of what our team can do. We have some full length logo animations uploaded on our youtube and vimeo channels, but not in our volumes.
+Daniel Johnson Wow, that was fast! :) But I would love it if I can see the full logos, all of them from beginning to end. Is there a way you can make a video showing these logos, or include these logos on your website? I would love it if you can be able to do that! Cheers! :D
+Kyle Chambers Wait, never mind. I'm dumb enough to skim through comments and not see the end of them. But keep doing what you're doing! And I'm glad you could take the time to quickly reply to other people's comments! :)
We don't use templates in our animation unlike some of our competitors. If you do want to cut some corners to get a more affordable logo animation I would recommend searching for a logo animation template on videohive ...dot... net
Lol. I am a married man of twenty years, with four kids, teaching at a church, part time school teacher, part time motion graphics video producer, esports coach, storage locker flipper, and I don't have that much time to read the hundred non business emails that come my way.
Go ahead and send me the logo and a video of what you have done so far. I would be happy to give you some pointers. Send them here: dan .at. pandamotion .dot. com
Yah, most of these animations were done with adobe after effects. If you want templates then video hive dot net is a good place to start. We do custom work though.
I'm currently taking a course in motion graphic design, and your videos are an amazing source of inspiration! I'm marking some of the timecodes down for myself so I can find my favorites later - don't mind me :) 1:04 2:32 3:03 5:20 Great work on all of your videos.
The higher the quality of a video production the more specialized the team. What that means is that the highest video productions hire the people that are the best at their jobs. I have designed a few logos, but for paid gigs I send it to one of the few logo designers I have worked with over the years that have more skill than myself. 99% of the people we work with have a logo that is already designed.

Nice simple motion graphics.
It is a customizable track called "lounge nebula" set to "gliding" at 6 seconds from the smartsound music library.
