That is awesome! Thanks for sharing. As a fixed income for me approaches, I like hearing about the ideas others have for future adventures, and the van is a great idea. Although you’re not trying to promote your skills, I could only wish I was that handy!
Hi Glen, living in a smaller confined space takes some getting used to. I hope to help those who want to live adventurously but are constrained by economics.
Hi, my random number generator selected you as the second winner of a PCT calendar. Please send me an email at rvoley@gmail.com. I’ll need your address in order to ship the calendar.
Great work. Living in Alaska you must have experience of having to know how to do a variety of jobs needed to survive. I hope the accomplishment of the van build serves you as a reminder that you’re never too old. I look forward to the adventures to be documented. When I retire, I hope to buy an electric van and do the same and tour Scandinavia n Europe. I hope to hike the CT this summer between jobs.
Yes, I’ve had to learn to build and repair practically everything as a result of living in Alaska. I used to read Time - Life books, but now RUclips is very helpful when I need to learn a how-to skill. I hope to have some CT videos soon.
Love to see a concept come together- sweat equity is the best kind - we live in Gold Canyon at the base of the Superstitions in the winter and Pagosa Springs CO in the summer- would love to cross paths
What a fun adventure. Love this. As always the photography is amazing!
Thank you. I want to always include videos of our adventures in each episode.
Thanks for video - keep more van life/travels/adventures coming as "simple" van life/travel/adventures may be in our future.
Thank you Andrew. I appreciate your comment. We’re learning a lot about van culture.
I love the Van, Ray! I can't wait to see it when its finished.
Thanks Ben. It’ll be very practical and rustic looking. We’re trying to keep it economical.
You make this seem doable for the average person. Love what you’ve done with the van!
Yes, thank you. Most of the work was pretty easy with the exception of the heater. That was tough.
The van is simple. I think that is important. We are going to purchase one in 2 years and begin our adventure. Thanks for sharing.
That sounds like an awesome plan. I hope you’ll be able to avoid our mistakes.

Great video, enjoy the van and live wildly!
Absolutely. Thank you!

It could happen. We’re enjoying Southern Arizona right now. Happy Vanning and Trails!
Looks like you are ready for adventure!
Thank you Brad!
