I'm just turned 59 years young and I haven't been in school for at least 12 years now. I'm going to return to college and I decided to major in nursing. I wondered just turned 59 am I too old to get my nursing degree. Watching your mother really encouraged me. Thank You!

No, we have a 73 year old and a 59 year old. Nursing school will take you up to 75 if you’re in good health.
I am 55yrs and by the Grace of God am in College taking a Degree to become an OT (Occupational Therapy)... Hoping to join Rehab too ... To help people back on their feet back to Normalcy despite traumatic episodes 🤗
Did my TEAS and passed well; Got A's in my Generals other than A&P where got a B+...
By God's enablement I work full-time (72.hrs /week) night shifts only, then College at day time...
What I've come to discover.... FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN & ANXIETY Coz you listen to Negative Stories is the greatest hindrance for many to go back to school and I was one of them a while back BUT I THANK GOD FOR HELPING ME ONCE I DECIDED TO STEP-OUT BY FAITH...
SO ANYONE READING THIS, YOU CAN DO IT BY GODS GRACE & PUTTING CONSISTENT EFFORT IN ALL YOU DO.... AND YES, DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH THEN DECIDE & STEP-OUT YOU WILL MAKE IT!!

Thank you for the video. Your mom's story has inspired me a lot. After watching her clip, I have decided to start nursing school next year. I am around 38 years old. At the moment, I am studying for the TEAS exam. I was curious to know if your mom completed her nursing degree with an ADN or BSN.
I am 51 and half way through nursing. It is tough to be one of the older students especially with not being so technical and not being able to keep up with the younger students with the Google docs, excel sheets, care plans online etc.. lol. Your mom is an inspiration. Not only because of her personality but her accomplishments. Did she have to do exit exams and if so how did she study for them ? I’m finding it hard to get a study pattern.

You guys are a dynamic duo. Thank you for making these videos and being so transparent in your journey. I am 48 and will be starting an EMSN program this fall, so it's nice to see Mom doing her thing at 50+. In addition, thank you for admitting that going in as a new grad you felt lost and didn't know much, even after clinical. I think this is normal and for those experienced nurses who like to s*** on new grads, you clearly have forgotten where you started. Please keep us updated on your journey IF you can find the time. Congratulations to you both, how proud you must be of one another. Love this!

Thank you both. I’m 54 and have taken the HESI successfully 2 times. I was afraid I was too old to start over to become an R.N. In NY all my prerequisites have expired. After listening to this post, I will start again!!
