If our bullpen can pick it up and our offense stays hot, we can take the division. We just gotta stay healthy and keep those bats goin! October here we come. Edit: Man, what a surprise Yan Gomes has been. He’s put on every time we needed a big play. You really couldn’t of asked for a better Veteran to come in and mentor they young guys. He’s a great dude on and off the field. Dansby Swanson has done everything we expected as a former number 1 draft pick. Morel has been absolutely electric. His childlike enthusiasm has breathed life into this team. Bellinger has bounced back from his slump season last year. Jared Young has also had a positive impact since being called up. A guy I never even heard of but is quickly making a name for himself. Happ is always a solid glove and a solid bat. Couldn’t be happier with the direction of this team. Ross is still settling in to his role and I don’t fault him for anything. Even 20 year managers make mistakes. Learn something from it and move on. Bear ⬇️ and Cub ⬆️
These walks down Memory Lane are really invigorating! I love these guys! 💙 Have you ever noticed how Happ always does a little 2 step, puts his hand on his helmet, and seems to bow in reverence to the home plate when he reaches it after a home run? I LOVE it and would be really bummed if he stopped doing that!
Nah, trade him and then just resign him in the offseason or go get Aaron Nola instead. Stroman is already starting to regress back to his norm. Hes not a 2.6 era pitcher. He just isnt. Hes a 3.2 era pitcher and thats good but not 25 mil per year.
@@danr154 nah if this team wants to win they need to extend him because he's been our most consistent pitcher apart from Justin Steele, Kyle Hendriks and Drew Smyly if anything seeing as how Smyly might walk this year he will probably be traded by the trade deadline to a playoff team in return for a power bat and some bullpen pieces
I don’t think home runs are somethings Cubs should celebrate in the first 1/2. Suzuki, Happ, and Swanson have grossly underperformed in that department!

Wisdom hit so many in so few games...hopefully he can rediscover his form in the second half
Let's hope they do a lot more of this in the second half! 😊😊😊
Lets go on a roll boys... a wild card spot is still in sight!
