My favourite cards from 151 is Charmander IR, cause I love how it tells a story together with Charmeleon IR and Charizard SIR. Charmander is a bit scared, a bit worried, looking up at Charmeleon on the top rock edge, maybe he is scarred of heights and flying, but then he evolves and as Charizard confidently soars through the sky rising up. I imagine its the same little Charmander in the first card, just now he is evolved and confident. Love that.
Blastoise EX SIR! I have 4 daughters who are into Pokémon and when my 4 yr old pulled that card she freaked out and started cheering. It took me back. Huge nostalgic moment.
My favorite Pokémon gets my vote for a favorite 151 card. The Zapdos SIR. I still wish it was just him, he does share the card art, But imagine a card of him perched on a rock wings spread out screaming with lightning bolts coming out. Having that with the color and the texture? 🤤 I was kicking myself for not buying a Japanese 151 on Black Friday for 160 bucks from my LCS. Cuz they were hitting $200. But hopefully I can find something soon where it's around $100.

The nicest card to me is the Dragonair AR , because it is so elegantly illustrated, it kicks ass 😂Coincidentally I just placed a preorder for 3 boxes with someone in my local online marketplace in Singapore, 1 box for S$91 (US$66). I already completed the majority of the master set minus the master balls but still love to crack open these. When the reprint actually kicks in, will see if can get more.
That master ball Daisy is like a $10~$15 card raw at ebay's current sold listings. Not bad at all. Fave 151 card, eh? This is rough, man... I think I'll stick with what I thought was awesome since the set was announced: the Venusaur SAR. The colors, the texturing, the fact that they did our flower frog boi some justice with a beautiful card are just some of the reasons that's my top card.
Loved the opening and pulls! I'm glad they printed more so people can have access to these more readily and the scalpers lose! My favorite 151 card is definitely the sleepy Bulbasaur illustration rare because it's just a nice, cozy art with beautiful colors!

Bulbasaur illustration is by far my favorite card in 151, probably even my favorite modern card. I have a weak spot for sleeping pokemon in card art, bulbasaur is my favorite pokemon and i love illustration cards, so its an insane combo

The Zapdos illustration rare is the most underrated card in the English set. The Japanese set has the Master Ball Gastly, Haunter, and Gengar which I NEED!
My favorite card from 151 is the mew ex card simply because it brings me right back to my childhood seeing mew in the first movie and hoping to one day get a full collection of all the possible mew cards.
There are so many good arts in 151! Before it came out I said Poliwhirl or Zapdos. I might have to say now that my favorite is the Blastoise SIR though. I pulled 3 of this thing. One is in my binder, traded one to a friend, and then I got one graded. First card I've ever had graded and it came back a 10, so I was really happy about that.
Really enjoy the mew special art. The one that came with the premium collection. Reminds me of a side scroller game from back in the day. The Nirvana Wartortle and Pikachu in the market place would be close seconds. My son and I enjoy opening packs and sleeving the "strong" ones, as he would call them lol.
Honestly my favorite card from 151 is the Mew ex promo from the UPC! I love how detailed the card is. If we're talking pulls though, it's gotta be the Venusaur ex SIR! I don't have one but dang is it pretty.
Man, Japanese cards are so fun to open! I have family in Japan, and when Pokemon first came out they would send me booster boxes of cards and I remember them being very sparkly and shiny. As for 151, I was fortunate to pull the 'Zard and Alakazam SIRs in my ETB! I love this particular Charizard out of S/V because it shows a cool story throughout the evolution line - not to mention it doesn't have those odd "tera types" on their heads lol.
Probably got to go with Alakazam SIR/SAR. Always love Alakazam back in Game Boys days and always knew that can’t get it evolved without a trade. And see the art work in the SIR/SAR just too awesome
The zaptos sar is my favorite from 151, 151 is the set that got me into collecting never collected before then and the first card I pulled out of my first pack was the zaptos so that is why it's my favorite !
My favorite card is the SIRs of the charmander evo line because one it was my very first favorite pokemon and it's the almighty powerful starter. The first ever starter I chose. I like how in the evo line it shows you that as charmander grows and evolves it's able to climb higher and higher up the mountain until it can fly over the mountains it grew up in.
The Blastoise Ex Alt Art is so FIRE!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥 or.... Water I mean?!? 😆 I just love the artwork on it! And it's FINALLY outshining the Charizard in a set!! I love this set so much, and the Blastoise EX Alt Art completes it!! 💯
My favorite Pokemon 151 card is the Snorlax. Not only is it nice to see the relaxing under a tree but it was the first pack master ball I got out of a pack from my local card store when it 151 came out.
Havent pulled it yet, but im chasing the alt art blastoise ex.. of the big 3, i only pulled the blastoise back when i was a kid from base set.. heres hoping i can get it in the reprint.. 🤞
Fav 151 card is probably the Zapdos EX SAR with the trio flying through the clouds. It's such a beautiful artwork. I really love the Charmander AR as well.
I like the Pika SIR. Because it got so many more pokemons on it. Did buy two boxes at 100 mark. Opened one: aprox 45 usd value in it (4 EX, 4 IR, 1 Charmeleon master ball reverse) Still better ripping a 100 box than 200 a box.

The charmander evolution line full arts or whatever the rarity is. Brings me back to the early days when ash had his charizard stay on the island. Man, those were great episodes. Charizard didn't give up.

The gold mew is my fav card. It was the first pull we got w my son. I hadn't been in the hobby for over 15yrs. My son wanted some Pokemon cards and that was our first hit. So that mew will always have sentimental value. Now we are deep into the hobby w the whole fam

I feel like the starter trio alt arts amazing. I think squirtle is my favorite. I like how it starts out on the beach and the final evolution blastoise is deep in the ocean. I honestly love all the cards. Wish the had more alt arts for each Pokemon. Wish they did something for poliwrath, onix, Arcanine and gengar
Easily the blastoise sir! I have pulled 5 of them I had a completely glitched broken Machamp mini tin and each pack had a blastoise sir in! It was wild and another wild 151 experience I had was the first booster bundle I opened all 6 packs had hits and 2 of them where zapdos sir and Charizard sir! I have videos and photos to prove it all right when it happened!
My favorite from 151 might actually be the art on the Scyther or the Kabutops, feel they both are really nice artworks that match perfect with each of them.
Fav card: Pikachu masterball. I collect Pikachus but I pulled the MB out of a pack and it graded a 10. Most hype pull of my life and to have it slabbed as a 10 is so dope. I love it.
Im trying to finish the Japanese 151 masterset and man when the announcement of the reprint hit, it kinda hurt how much I spent on the boxes but at least I can buy singles at a cheaper price 😅
Best card is the Venusaur SAR, the colors are next level! I can’t wait to tear through some 151 now that the prices are reasonable. Never got my hands on the booster boxes cuz the price was too high before!
I love this set! Still it's sad that dragonite didn't get a special card in this set... But it still is my favorite pokemon, so if not for the poliwhirl ir, its got to be the (masterball) dragonite :)

Wartortle 171/165, there is just something in that angle, lighting and the underwater scenery that really hits the spot.
Charizard full art is great because it shows so much of the pokemon!

I really love the Poliwhirl SIR… it’s so beautifully drawn and with the holo effect and the scene in the rain it just makes it such a unique card.

considering in japan its under 75 usd per box thank god. Makes it easier for people who are trying to get a masterball master set.

The Mewtwo Masterball reverse holo is definitely the coolest and most nostalgic card for me. Saved my Masterball in Fire Red just for Mewtwo
