the heart of the the deep could be a upgrade to your player hearts similar to how once you get 400 health in terraria and beat the mechanical bosses, you can go to the jungle and get life fruit to get a maximum of 500 health
It would be sick because i still got one from combining the few books i found, my local city never had a swift sneak 3 so itd be cool exploring this dimension to find some
Funny thing is, that's actually confirmed by Mojang that the center structure is NOT a portal frame, originally when it was first added it had "portal structure" or something in its files but they've since removed it in recent updates
