Thank you so much for this video! I've been struggling with my master boards and you gave me the much needed help to finish them off! I love the tone of your voice too, so calming.
Thank you Michelle, I am so glad it helped, that makes me very happy indeed - masterboards are such fun and a great way to get ephemera for journals, I love them! 💗💗
Some great images for your masterboard pieces... I will be creating more... I need to scan mine, I keep forgetting as I don't use my laptop much I use my phone for most things... Love your 'Time' theme... Altered book looks great too. 😘❤️😁🌹
Thanks Elaine, I was delighted with the results, I am a masterboard addict now (I blame Nina and Kylie, LOL). You could photograph it with your phone and print from there maybe? ❤️
@@KariGibsonArt oh no transferring data from my phone to laptop is a nightmare so it's easier scanning, I need to store them on my laptop... I record on my phone so storage is very limited. I will get to it but like always I've got lots to do and not enough 'Time' or space to do it... Ha ha.. 🤔🤔🤣🤣♥️♥️♥️
I am a tag/postcard fanatic. I can spend whole days just making tags and postcards and ATCs. Of course one must have eyelets! They are essentials lol. Loved your process for these. Thanks, Kari!
Wonderful how each piece imparts a different feel yet you can tell they are from the same master board. I love watching you add the small touches that makes them their own little work of art.
Ahh was looking up on RUclips what to do with my Gelli prints scraps in my A3 book and this is perfect didn't see this video before. love what you have made I love the fortune too TFS xx 😘
What a great group of cards and tags.!!...I still am impressed you can keep them all so organized! They look awesome, great technique for streamlining it all!
Thank you so much Kari, I really really enjoyed this, and I really really love 💕 all of the things you made from those two master board’s. And all those images that you used are really really stunning and gorgeous too. I really really always love 💕 watching you create all these gorgeous things. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
Thanks Mags, it is a great way to make coordinating faux ephemera for journals, I really have fun doing this. It is great if I am stuck for ideas of what to do. I am glad you enjoy watching, it is great to have you here with me when I am making stuff. How is your area for cases? Ours are getting high again and that is why we are in Tier 2 from midnight Friday. I am staying safe and feeling quite well, I really hope you are too! Thanks again Mags! XX
This was very beautiful! I've never encountered your channel b4, but searching up masterboards done by "Ceri Griffiths the Crafter", your video was among the 1st few that surfaced... So I clicked, I watched, I enjoyed it, and I subscribed! 😊 Very, very nice work!!🤗
I thought I was seeing things. Lol. I was looking for the lady on the first one. I didn't see her because it was an entirely different one you were working on. Where do you find those people images? I love them. I love the use of the stencil and words. The envelope was super cute too.
Yes, I will Kate, it is a Provocraft Silent Setter tool, although I also use a Japanese hole punch as it is easier than the Silent Setter. If I were to start over again, I would invest in a Crop-a-dile which looks easier to use. HTH and happy shopping!
Hi Avanelle, I make the scroll stencil, it is available from my Etsy shop ( krolinagibson.etsy.com ), but at the moment, I can't post overseas as the Royal Mail has had a cyber attack and all their systems are down 😒. They have halted all international mail until they get it sorted and I have had to set all my stencils to UK only. I am hopeful this will be resolved soon! I found the corner rounder on Amazon, it isn't brilliant, but does the job. I hope that helps and thanks for watching! 💗💗
Where and so on is that eyelet kit from??? I'm a beginner in paperworld, and I've fallen in love with eyelets! But where I live, I can only find 8 mm tool to press the eyelets in place. And I would love to find a set of tools that can put different sizes of eyelets in place. I hope you can understand what I mean. I'm Swedish and struggling with finding the right words/terms... Great, great video btw ;) Hugs from Sweden 🇸🇪
Thanks Rolah, I have a bit of an eyelet addiction too! I use a Silent Setter (Provo Craft) and I use a Japanese Screw Hole Punch to make the holes, it has various size options inside the lid. I have very recently purchased a Crop-a-Dile Big Bite which is much easier on my hands (I have a bit of arthritis). I hope this helps! Hugs 💗💗
@Kari's Mixed Media Art yeah I'm thinking of a cropadile aswell, but they are really expensive. And here in Sweden, we don't have coupons or sales like you have. Just regular prizes. So I think the little cropadile will cost like 40 dollars or more. In Swedish exchange ofc. And being sick for some years, the economic isn't that great. But I have to find a solution! Thanks for your answer!!!
Thanks Darcy, this video is OK, it is the very early ones I am mostly embarrassed about. I still love the eyelets, but I try not to be too over the top about them these days! 💗💗
I think this may be the 1st time I've watched one of your videos (you just showed up in my "recommended"). I like what I see! Will subscribe, and have saved some more of your videos to my "watch later" list. But I do hope you don't regularly reach your arm under the blade of your cutter, as you did several times in this video! I have no stomach for blood in my crafting queue... 😬😳🤣
Thank you very much for giving my channel a go, it is lovely to have you here with me, I hope you enjoy the other videos. Don't worry about the guillotine, it is quite blunt and no bloodshed has occurred yet. I shall heed your advice and be careful though! 🤣

Great pieces of handmade ephemera!

I know the feeling, Elaine! 🤣🤣🤣
I love them all Kari! I love the muted colours.....the words they are so interesting 💕👍
Thanks Toni, I wanted to make each one completely different! 🤗😍💕
So Absolutely Stunning!!! TFS, Kari. Jen❤️❤️
Thanks Jen, I was thinking the other day I want to make another master board and make some more ephemera, it is a fun way to work! 💖

Thanks Marti! I know what you mean, they are rewarding to make and can be as simple or as complex as you feel. Yay for eyelets, LOL! 😆💖
Just found you--about five videos ago, yesterday! So enjoyed these and am inspired! Thank you, Kari
Hi Linda, it is great to have you here with me and I am glad you are enjoying the videos. 💗💗
Wonderful master board. I have not made one of these...so thank you for showing how 💙
Thanks Jovi, they are a great way to make a background to build upon - I hope you give it a go! 💗

Thanks Kate, I think that is the fun part, making each one different and adding those final touches. 💖😀💕
What a nice idea, Kari. I would never have thought of that. 💛💚💙
Thanks Ulrika, a masterboard has a lot of potential, I have more ideas than time!😆💖
I really enjoyed watching and listening to you work thru this process! It really helps me have faith in my own work! Plus you make it seem so easy!!!
Thank you so much for watching and I am glad you enjoyed it. I hope you have fun making a masterboard yourself too!

Thank you, oh yes, use up those scraps! :) x

Thanks Becca, yes it is useful to have a stash on hand and it was a very efficient way to make them.
Lovely way you “finishing off” your ephemeras...I like to round my corners, too....have a great day...😻
Thank you very much! You have a great day, too! 💜
Stumbled across you and a video of yours
Omw
Love love love your ideas and style
Thanks Angela - that is so kind of you! :)
Love this - great idea. You get some much ephemera out of the masterboard. Looking forward to seeing how the book develops 🙂
Thanks Leanne, yes, you can get so much out of one masterboard, the permutations are endless!

I'd like the flourishes they really add something good I think you should put more of them on there
Thanks so much, that's a great idea ☺️♥️
Love your work Keri,
Thank you so much, I appreciate that, Amy! 💗
Good idea to include the actual size of A3 paper, so many people look at me confused when I say A paper sizes lol
Thanks Jen, yes, anyone outside Europe won't know what we mean!
Fascinating and inspiring! Thank you for your video and narration. You are so talented and creative.
That is so kind of you, thank you Melissa! 💖
Beautiful work!
Thank you so much Deborah! 💗😀
Beautiful xx

Aw, thank you, Ceri is good, too! I hope you found some help with the masterboards. 🩷🩷
Yes!
Thank you for your replies. Merry Christmas Season to you...
These would make beautiful Tarot cards. Great job!
Thank you so much, that is a great idea! 💗

Heh, thanks Sheryl, sorry to confuse you! I find images in magazines and old books usually, I am a bit of a pack rat with them!
Where do you find all your fabulous images--like the fortune teller?
I tend to find them in old books which I buy from charity shops, I think it was a book about mysticism and suchlike. It is a great image! 💗💗
I have the same eyelet setter! For some reason I refuse to get the Crockodile Cropitdial ? Yeah, that thing.
Thanks Laurie - I know that Cropodile thing looks scary - I am quite happy with my eyelet setter too! 💗💗
Would you show us the front of your eyelet kit? I’ve been looking for one similar to yours but need a reference in my search. Thank you!

Wow!
Thanks James! 💗
I really like your lady also but they are all great
Thanks Sherry, that is my favourite one too! 😀
What company made the scroll stencil? Love it!
And the corner rounder?

That’s Judy Garland. Liza’s mother. You were close. 😃
Thanks Lisa - of course, silly me! 💕

Nothing embarrassing in this one (must keep searching 😜). I think you are over your eyelet obsession. ;)

Really enjoyed this video but that's not Liza, that's her mother Judy Garland from the movie Summer Stock.
Oh yes, of course! I don't know what I was thinking! Thanks x
You're welcome. It's b/c they look so much alike. Easy mistake. I know that movie b/c it had always been one of mine and my Mother's favorite movies.
