I think the reason they changed Gorr's look(made him more humanoid looking), is to preserve Christian bale's acting. I heard that during the filming of Voldemort in Harry Potter movies, the actor playing him wanted to keep the eyes, as they had already removed the nose, and he wanted to keep at least one feature to show his acting. So bale's face, even though human, is terrifying, and will also help us experience the 'God' level acting of Bale as 'GodButcher'.

It's better to put the actor up instead of CGI characters, Bale's acting is impeccable and they kept him as it is to show his acting as "Gorr the God Butcher", and so far it shines (although the tone is Black n White) the most from the trailer, really nice tone to Thor, Dr. Strange MoM kind of a letdown for the 40-minutes cutoff, but this looks absolutely amazing
think Gor should wear black cloth instead of white cloth....it's make more accurate.. 😀😀
