Stolen Seeds
One tree and many branches
Crooked smile peering out
Of the treehouse way up high
Bald mountains to the south
Father built it on a dare
When the kids were all still small
It serves that hard man right
They don’t come down when he call
I have fallen away

The branch that was me
Has new vision to find

But I’ve stolen the seeds

I know you think he’s bad
But alone you might be dead
Let’s do what he told us
Move the turkeys before two
A mighty task them laughing birds
So sister lace your boots
