I’m not sure if her manipulations were really successful because look how it all turned out, her foundations were made of lies, power and deception, and they all came back against her all by her own doing. I think Justin was trying to get his character as close to the book as possible. Blake didn’t read the book so she wouldn’t know how Ryle would act in certain situations other than what was explicitly written into the script. Justin is able to improvise and behave like Ryle from the book because he read the books and understands his character perfectly. She was unable to improvise and act like Lily from the book because she never read the book. She was trying to improvise and act like how her and Ryan would act not how Lily and Ryle would act.

Again, this is an intimate scene being filmed in front of a full cast and crew, that’s so awkward to begin with. Nothing about this tape really says unprofessional about Baldoni, all it shows is that Blake is the one that prompted conversation over and over because she felt it was more romantic. If anything, isn’t Baldoni the director?? He allowed her to talk to be more comfortable.
Yes, I checked and Baldoni does say 'it smells good' in response to her comment (as you say) and not 'you smell good' as Lively claims in her complaint. That small difference in words makes a huge difference in meaning - and that clearly undermines Lively's allegation on this point.

The purpose of this scene was to show Lily and Ryle falling in love. The fact that Blake was suggesting that they just talk is crazy. If Justin wasn't leaning into her or almost kissing her, I would think Lily and Ryle were just friends. Justin did what was necessary to capture the growing relationship between Lily and Ryle while keeping it professional. Actually, I felt like in the film, the love was one-sided and Lily didn't really love Ryle or Atlas...If Blake doesn't like intimate scenes, then she shouldn't have accepted this role, or at least read the book first. She acts like she doesn't understand the art of acting.

How can you forget the acting script prior to filming. I’m sure one is aware what is expected of everyone’s character during the filming scene. If she was uneasy she would have spoken up before filming or stoped production all together if she was uncomfortable with the scene. While Baldoni is trying to stay in character to support the film, she is trying to find ways to change the scripts direction as if she was hired to be the films Director.
Ive literally done that during my acting years. Id stop production whenever I needed and felt uncomfortable - it happens, its normal. My SA issues were outside of the stage or set, when nobody was watching and mostly from people who were not part of the cast.

Yes, I checked and Baldoni does say 'it smells good' in response to her comment (as you say) and not 'you smell good' as Lively claims in her complaint. That small difference in words makes a huge difference in meaning - and that clearly undermines Lively's allegation on this point.

I see a frolo esmeralda situation (as in frolo gets nervous for perceiving esmeralda as very seductive- not meaning she was ever trying to seduce him. I feel the same happened here. The purpose of this scene was to show Lily and Ryle falling in love. The fact that Blake was suggesting that they just talk is crazy. If Justin wasn't leaning into her or almost kissing her, I would think Lily and Ryle were just friends. Justin did what was necessary to capture the growing relationship between Lily and Ryle while keeping it professional. Actually, I felt like in the film, the love was one-sided and Lily didn't really love Ryle or Atlas...If Blake doesn't like intimate scenes, then she shouldn't have accepted this role, or at least read the book first. She acts like she doesn't understand the art of acting.
I believe that after this episode with Blake, film directors will be extremely careful when choosing the artists they will work with. One wrong choice can end your professional life. Narcissists will be out of work

Just not sure why Lively has such TOTAL AVERSION towards Baldoni when he was accommodating to her needs/wishes/requests which turned into demands. If anything, he was very compliant. All of this caused delays of the film and budget increases. Editors were fired and replaced by Reynold’s editors. At first to me he appeared weak as a director but now I see that SONY pictures was backing Lively due to her power and financial status. How can you forget the acting script prior to filming. I’m sure one is aware what is expected of everyone’s character during the filming scene. If she was uneasy she would have spoken up before filming or stoped production all together if she was uncomfortable with the scene. While Baldoni is trying to stay in character to support the film, she is trying to find ways to change the scripts direction as if she was hired to be the films Director.
Ive literally done that during my acting years. Id stop production whenever I needed and felt uncomfortable - it happens, its normal. My SA issues were outside of the stage or set, when nobody was watching and mostly from people who were not part of the cast.

I know someone who worked directly with her during Gossip Girl and said she is nasty. The other cast members were wonderful, but she was demanding and bratty. It’s one thing for a person who is a teenager, but she’s a 30 year old! Isn’t time to stop treating people like garbage?

She wouldn’t follow his direction. Her nervous chatter was annoying, even to me. All she had to do was remain silent and look at his eyes. But she wouldn’t even do that. This woman lacks professionalism.
