Why sometimes i smelled fuel vapour during tailwind engine starr , where do the fuel vapour comes from , i thought both packs are auto off during engine start

Came fr wing vent valves when plane are pressurized, during pushback n engine start, smell of kerosene n cooking oil, just for a while.
