Actually this is a really good debate, if you look at Embiid. Judging by his injuries the past two weeks, you would not think he would be effective at all for the Sixers. Instead, he's giving them a chance every game. Should they have left him in the whole game and deferred to him? Maybe not. So it's a needle to thread.

This is the Jameer Nelson situation all over again Kawhi is missing up the flow of the offense. The Clippers are rolling without him you can't push him in to the offense when he needs to get his touches and expect everyone to play the same.

@@masongreen1371 in 09 Jameer Nelson was starting for the magic he hurts his shoulder before the playoffs and was replaced with Rafer Alston who took the magic all the way to the NBA finals only to be replaced by Jameer once he got cleared which screwed up everything because Jameer hadn't played in 4 months and the Magic were use to playing with Rafer already. The Lakers won the series easily 4-1 and the Magic looked terrible.

If it's not broke don't fix it. Clippers are unstoppable* (they only lose if they can't make shots and Luka + Kyrie score 35+) when they are playing the pace and space ball without Kawhi. Putting him in slows down the game and turns fast break opportunities into Kawhi post ups and iso ball for the big-3 starters. That's not the end of the world if Kawhi is healthy and hitting his trademark pull up or fadeaway mid range. However, in his current state it's a nuclear meltdown waiting to happen as he bricks open FGs because his legs burnt after 4 minutes of continuous play. He needs to be DNP'd or come off the bench for ~20-24 mpg until he gets into game shape.
The other problem is PG turns into a spot up player. Harden is expected to play that way as well as run the P&R. PG is of no use as a late clock bail out option for Kawhi that's Norman Powell's or even Harden's job. That's the biggest issue with Kawhi on the court. PG needs to match Kawhi in FGAs unless there is a better option available for an assist. Then there is the bench which is unrelated to Kawhi. Playing Westbrook with Harden makes absolutely no sense. Westbrook 100% needs the ball to be effective if you're not calling for a blindside cut to a dunk/layup. With harden running the offense he's turned into a spot up corner player. It doesn't work for PG why TF would it work with WestBRICK. He needs to be the sole ball handler with the second group pushing the pace and getting Powell and Coffey open looks at three, Plumlee dunks or going coast to coast himself.
Tucker said something that is partially true. "There are not enough basketballs in the world for this team". That's true when you have two point guards in #0 and #1 trying to be playmakers. Harden does not need to play more than 30mpg unless he's hot. Give those 18 guaranteed minutes to Westbrook to run his own team. wtf is Lou smoking, did he not see Houston *FAIL TWICE* at attempting to play Harden with point guards. It makes even less sense by a large margin than playing Plumlee and Zubac together. They could actually serve a successful niche role against big less athletic front courts like the Wolves.

Kawhi should either start off the bench and both harden & pg shouldn't defer to him in this series until he's 💯 back into game shape but i do agree clippers gonna have to figure something out to have kawhi get back into form coz they may beat dallas in this series without him but definitely need him back to win a championship!

Bro I'm a Kawhi guy but his injuries made me lean toward Dallas. That being said I'm impressed by how the Clippers stepped up and Dallas has to play better. This is a good series folks.

Chuck spitting facts. Clippers stood around when Kawhi was playing and you could tell Klaw was hurt. Clips are in a pickle, probably have enough to win without Klaw in the 1st round, but can't go deep without him healthy.

And, don’t forget Mann, Powell, Big Zu for containing defense against key players of Mavs. Hope coach TLue will consider Theis, Bones and Jones to fill in the more robust defense. With or without Kawhi Leonard being healthy Contributions from Ivica Zubac are needed and necessary ,, if Kawhi Leonard is able to play ,, bring him off the BENCH with second unit ,, maybe have him start the second quarter ,, however I won't disrupt the tempo and flow of the offensive schemes by allowing him to start if he's not 100% !

I feel bad for a guy like Kawhi where his body keeps failing him and his talent. He might just be better off in a Manu-like role where he's easily the best man off the bench in a second unit where he could still product MVP level numbers against bench players but would play a significantly reduced minutes. He'd have to accept a much lower salary for something like that though and is likely why it'll never happen.
lol Kenny is right Kawhi’s offensive efficiency is way higher than both of there’s, he turn’s it over less, has a better field goal % and 3 is better, he shot 50,40,90 this year and plays defense, that’s why he’s the primary option

Let's be honest, they got to the conference finals without Kawhi. This is a fact. PG sent Utah home by himself. Now, for all that disagree, let's be real, there's something off about when he's on the floor. I don't know about the team chemistry, let's be real, if Boggie guards the baseline that Phoenix series is a different story and again, that was without Kawhi. Now look at now, explain how they win two with him not playing and lose two games without him. They play a more free style of basketball. Given that Kawhi's not healthy, I think we can safely eliminate the Clippers from title contention. I agree with Charles and Shaq, but I get what Ken was alluding to -- Clippers are going nowhere without Kawhi. One thing is for certain though:
