Purdue needs an offensive minded coach that has a strong staff to supplement and challenge the head coach. We can't afford another miss. This is a huge amount of risk with the next hire to be perfect.

Barry Odom, Silverfield, Jason Candle, Georgia Southern’s HC, Western Ky HC

Rhett Lashlee would be a great up in coming hire. Offensive coach, killed it at SMU with 11+ wins in 2 of 3 seasons and they are playoff bound. They could offer him double his current salary, and the opportunity to show he can turn multiple programs around, and at a higher level. Hope we can grab him or someone else who has shown they can elevate a program as a head coach. Matt Campbell would be another big time candidate if we’re shooting big, and I think we should at least try.

SMU supposedly has way more money to offer.

Purdue is not a downgrade from big 12

As an IU fan, I agree. Almost all coaches would take any B10/SEC job over ACC/B12 rn.

Yeah it is. Would you rather run a successful program in a slightly weaker conference, or come to the B1G and be one of the lowest funded programs struggling for 6 wins every year

@@darinprobst You’re still thinking in terms of P4. The P4 days are numbered. It will be the P2 soon if it’s not already. Coaches don’t stay at G5 if they have the opportunity to coach a P4 team. Same will be true of P4 vs P2…

Pat Fitzgerald is a very good HC but too much baggage.

I think PU did not provide the resources needed to be successful. Keep being cheap and you will continue to be awful. It's just Karma finally giving PU what it deserves.
