Solar storm could bring northern lights to Southern Canada | Canada Tonight

A series of powerful solar storms could make the northern lights visible unusually far south Friday and Saturday night in Canada. Walter Stoddard, researcher-programmer at the Ontario Science Centre, says if the weather permits, looking north even in the southern part of Canada could bring a dazzling surprise in the night sky.
