This type of content is a gift from you to viewers once again. Thanks for doing this job, Chris. The only thing I’d love to see is a little bit more details like “could you also turn off yellow blinks in matrix windows when there was a trade” or “how fast is trade data from time and sales reflected on a chart”. Those small things really matter when you use platform every 10 hours everyday.
Thanks for the kind words. I did not find a way to turn off the yellow blinks, except for removing certain columns from the quote board. You would have to test it to check the chart speed. I think if you are using the quote board or time and sales to see the last traded price then it does not really matter how fast the chart updates. Example: I set my chart update intervals on sierra to be much slower than my trading doms, in fact they are in a separate instance of the software completely.
Great video! Thank you. It's good to know that in principle you don't need any other trading software to trade with Ironbeam. Is it possible to trade directly from the chart like you'd do with NinjaTrader or IB?
Guys , one doubt , If I have 1000$ in my account and I buy one March contract for lets say MES or MNQ or ES or NQ , what is the price for each contract ? I do not understand how much is one contract ? When I try to buy MES for example, it would say the limit price like 4100 or 4100.75 , but my account is a 1000$ account , so what is the actual price of the contract ? I am new to futures trading , i come from a stock trading background, so thats why i cant understand. Also, lets say if I want to buy the MES or any other future , which contract should I buy if there is March , August , December available if i trying to daytrade ? Or does it matter at all because i am going to sell or buy in the same day itself ?
Hi Chris, I am Canadian and just opened an account with Ironbeam. But they don't accept money transfer via Wise anymore. How do you deposit and withdraw USD in your Ironbeam account?
I send it via a Wire Transfer through Interactive Brokers. I think Ironbeam should accept Wise as a payment method, it is up to them to figure that out. Interactive Brokers in Canada supports funding an account through Wise.
Do they pay interest on cash balances held there? IBKR usually pays about $700/month in interest just on the spare unused cash that's not pulled into margins, just want to figure out if it's worth switching for the free market data.
@@VerrilloTradingthey don't unfortunately, I talked to them recently. Maybe I could use Tbills, but didn't ask if they support those. Anyway IBKR is super convenient with all the features so I'll probably stay. Thanks to your videos I have TWS setup in the best way 🫡
Verillo, on the charts can you pull SPY data as well? I trade futures but I like to follow SPY, QQQ and other stocks tickers. Is that possible w/ IB? Also, when you log in on mobile, do you have to logout from instance the web platform or desktop?
They only have futures data last I checked, so no you could not chart SPY on their platform. I’m not sure about logging in on mobile and desktop at the same time. This is because the exchange has rules regarding the number of devices allowed per market data subscription. This should only to real time data.
Hey Chris. Do you recommend them for trading energy futures. Does the platform come with real time data by default or I need to pay for an extra subscription?
I try not to recommend specific brokers to people because everyone may have their own special requirements. Most futures brokers are able to compete for business. In short yes I would say Ironbeam is a fine broker, I use them for trading futures including the micro crude oil. I don't use their desktop platform, I use Sierra Chart with their Teton Order Routing and Ironbeam is the broker and clearing firm. Typically platforms don't come with real-time data, this is an exchange fee that is paid through either the broker or platform vendor, and those fees go to the exchange. So in pretty much all cases, you will pay the market data exchange fees separate from any other platform fees.
This software does not integrate with Sierra Chart. It is the broker/clearing firm Ironbeam that supports trading on Sierra Chart and other trading front ends. If you have any other questions feel free to follow up.
@@VerrilloTrading bro you are the reason I straight up head first collided with Sierra haha. 2 days old with trial version, skipped IBKR entirely, figured in my research that as I grow as a trader, my needs will grow and so got straight to Sierra so that I learn it directly, it's strep curve but I have barely any choice since I am an international trader and to trade futures I have a limited amount to time to work my way up hence.. Phew it's painful thought, even basic things like scroll function, multi chart window layout, plotting higher TF Ema on 5 mins chart... Hey Verrillo, If i open account with ironbeam and i connect IB to tradingview. Would i experience any lag when i place order? Can you fund IB account with WISE? tx
Hello, I am not sure about lag regarding placing orders through Tradingview. I think in this case you would be using the CQG trading service. The latency will be at least 300 milliseconds but probably a lot more, maybe around 1 second by the time your order is fully transmitted. If you have access to order timestamps inside of Tradingview, you might be able to determine this. If not then it would be best to use a different software to properly track down what the latency is from submitting your order to the point it is active on the exchange. Attached orders also have latency from the time the parent order is filled. With CQG those are client side in my experience meaning that the latency will also depend on your client side software which is a disadvantage. This will be upwards of 300 milliseconds. When using a trading service that supports server side bracket orders. The time from when your parent order fills to when the attached orders reaches the exchange can be below 1 millisecond.
Hello Chris, just went with ironbeam and Sierra chart with Denali, it says I am delayed, any ideas why? Also cqg,, since I have Denali do I need cqg? Thanks Chris
Ironbeam is a broker, Sierra is a platform. The only way the two can be connected is if Ironbeam gives you a front end that is compatible with Sierra. In this case CQG which is supported in Sierra. You get your CQG login for trading, (no data included). You need to specify that to your broker. Denali data is a data feed on the side of Sierra chart and you pay for the exchange fees through them. Activating denali can be tricky for a first time user so be patient and follow the instructions on the documentation. Hope it worked out.
You will need to ask them about commissions and in terms of monthly fees, it depends on the front end you use. With some of then they debit the monthly data fees from the trading account.
Can we write our own automated custom strategy? example say two EMA crossover with any given periods, so when the crossover is done it can buy/sell ? can we automate such rule ? Thanks
Hey Chris, just opened an account and the promoted commission rates were not applied to my account so contacted them to see whats the deal, also the clearing fees are pretty high i come from tradestation where i didnt pay for clearing but 1$ for one emini is too much do you get charged these clearing fees too?
That's unfortunate, what I would say just follow up with whoever you are in contact with to make sure the promoted rate is applied. Please write back here with your experience because it will help the community.
I contacted support and they were extremely helpful; I received the promotion. I guess the moral of the story is to contact them and they will assist you.

Thanks. No sorry because I don't use it for executing trades.

Glad you enjoyed it!
Is there a way to keep the DOM still and not moving when placing/changing an order?
Can you go over how much it costs to trade ES/NQ/CL, MES/MNQ/MCL and data feed costs w/ IronBeam? Thank you!

They are a clearing firm that offers brokerage service.
They are FCM.
Yes

Thanks Dave.
Does ironbeam work for canadian residents.
Yes it does.
Hi, Ironbeam now offer free Level 2 Data. Can you please do an update on the platform to see how the free data performs.
This might be possible in the future, thanks for the suggestion.
Chris do you have the time to review Youbull broker!? Thanks from Aussie
Definitely don't have the time lol. Maybe in a year.
So there fee for each contract is just the one charge? They don’t charge for a buy and sell seperate?
In futures trading, costs apply every time a contract is traded, no matter if it is a buy, sell, opening or closing of a position.
Did I miss this ..how do you get to the simulator?
I think you need to contact them and they give you a simulated account, or there might be an option directly in their platform to open one.

The broker does support futures options trading but there is no options chain in this platform at the time I made this video.
