+Paul Jason ..i agree..i wore this cd out back then..and still come back to it it from time to time..powerful song!..He was the biggest talent in that band hands down!..And no Bon Jovi won't be the same...kinda like Journey without Steve Perry, and Guns n Roses without Slash...
Because at the time. NIRVANA was knocking rock musics door completely off its hindges. The industry trashed the glam pop Poison, Jovi, and GnR, molds. And the soft rock sounds .And were looking to push the Seattle grunge sound. Making the way for the acts that followed the next few years like Pearl jam and Stone Temple. etc . I was no fan of the grundge sound. And loved Ritchies album. But it went nowhere on the charts. The ERA was changing drastically. And rock never really came back after about 1994
Richie GRANDE.
I just discovered Richie about a week ago. And yes, I HAVE been living under a rock. I really love this song and his voice. Just bought the Stranger in this Town album.
The album came out back in 1991.. I remember hearing Father Time back when the album came out and instantly fell in love with Richie Sambora.. Never have been able to understand why I've never heard any of his songs on the radio.. ever? Definitely one of the best albums of all time! After 32 years, I keep finding myself wanting to hear all of the songs on this album again and again
Don’t feel bad. I also just discovered Richie and his massive talent a year ago. I still get mad at my sister for not telling me what i was missing back in their heyday. I sure am enjoying it now. At least i finally found him. He is amazingly talented and has a gorgeous genuine smile.
@@lkey4045 I'm glad I'm not alone on this one. When Richie was with Bon Jovi, they came to Hawaii (where I live) in 2010, but I never went to the concert and I'm so mad I messed that opportunity. But thankfully there's youtube to see footage of Richie doing his doing. But I agree, he has an amazing smile.
Saludos y graciaspor compartir
The intro reminds me of Navy Seals waiting to jump out of a C-130 and parachute into the night. When this came out i was in the Navy and training for the Seals. I used to run to this record. (i never made it to the Seals) But i did make it to The Marine Corps where i was a Recon Medic.
this guy is the real deal
Man, he is so talented and really puts emotion in this Performance. A true Artist.
I remember buying this record(Stranger in this town)way back 1993..I was 14..this guy is amazing, and Bon Jovi won't be the same without him.

My favourite song on a pretty much flawless album.

@@PabloSantaFe87 absolutamente. Con problemas siquiatricos.
The heart and soul of Bon Jovi. Should have shut the band down. It's Bon Jovi light ever since Rickie left.
is this the only live version of this song?
2:59 Tico Torres?
Yes it sure is. And also David Bryan on keys.
Is it Tico on the drums?
