@Sans_The_Skeleton it's piracy which isn't the same as stealing, since when you copy something no one else loses access to it. stealing a car is not the same as distributing a discontinued port of a video game.
@Sans_The_Skeleton People really like to paint piracy as the same thing as stealing, and while there is a degree of immorality for it, content needs to be in limited supply to be stolen- To take away the opportunity of someone else to own that or to take that from someone who already owns it. When you pirate a digital game that's literally not the case.
2:15 if you don't have a public following, erroneous copyright strikes don't just "take longer" to resolve. Speaking from experience, as someone who had a small channel that got nuked by 3 simultaneous false copyright strikes, without any kind of community backing you can never get your channel reinstated. Doesn't matter if you contact them or youtube support, even a small monetized channel will still get ignored. It's only through hiring a real lawyer or through mass public outcry. Copyright is abused so heavily and RUclips still does nothing.
@pandafa-nl5vk a youtube issue rooted in a copyright issue, art must remain as free speech and copyright prevents that and allows greedy corporations to monopolize art #abolishcopyright
@szymonrozanski6938 Possibly. Usually it still shows the date it was posted even if it was weeks before release for the regular plebs. And shouldn't there be a membership icon or badge next to their nickname, right?
I remember when they added the ability to change the gamemode of a world so I made a superflat, filled it with a bunch of resources, and then switched to survival and just did a bunch on nether cores
Notch did the right thing (the craftbukkit devs were being absolutely unbearable at the time, it had to do with the GPL, old news now but you can look it up) but it really did have dire consequences
4:45 From what I remember in Pocket Edition, if you want to transfer full stacks to chests, you would click and hold down the item until the bar above it reaches max, then the whole stack will transfer
@superNova5837 that was old, the new is kinda good but slows down crafting, i remember i could clikc fast or hold down to craft very fast, now it's slow as hell
Microsoft doesn't like that people are realizing that xbox/ps editions were better versions than Bedrock. And that discontinuing them was unnecessary and done solely to make people hop on bedrock with its lucrative marketplace.
not really older console minecraft is really scuffed with noticable flaws and bedrock has improved alot of things , dont just blame your issues on bedrock with the marketplace if you mentioned some more stuff than the obvious pull i would agree .
Im crine why does everyone gaf about the marketplace, it's so easy to ignore and literally takes up 0% of your actual gameplay time, entirely optional to even look at or interact with "Oh no game has a feature where you can choose to spend an extra dollar if you really want to" terrifying, I can't imagine any other sandbox or survival game in the world that also does that 🥀
It would be far more difficult to make a preexisting game cross platform, but if they make Minecraft again from scratch that with the whole point being the cross platform then it'll be 12 zillion times easier. Tho I don't disagree on console edition being better.
@jerryjaboodyjohnson7393 we just calling anything "targeting kids" nowadays aren't we? Just because it's present and kids happen to play the game doesn't somehow magically mean those two things are correlated and that Microslop is aiming for little Timmy to max his mommy's credit card on Minecraft. Criticize real problems, whining about having to pay for optional stuff you have to actually go looking for just makes you sound silly.
@chewy99. I agree. When I was younger, I didn't even know what the nether core reactor did, but I loved building with it. Was sad one day when I logged in and saw my largest build riddled with black and purple textures. They should bring back those block textures purely for building purposes, not even for making the mini-nether.
This was my first (full) version of Minecraft, back when I was 9 years old. I'd begged my parents to buy it for me repeatedly as I played the Java Edition Demo, the one where you have like an hour to play, 3 times already. In the end, this is what I got first, because it was cheaper to buy it not just for me, but all my siblings. One of the fondest memories I have is of our first world together, the square cobblestone house that was built with the wooden floor, the first time I died, all due to a skeleton, the _environment_ of the place. I'm confident that if I could find the seed again I'd be able to navigate it all. A lot of things have happened since then that just absolutely suck. A mother with cancer, three of the siblings I played with at the time were, at least in a legal sense, quite literally kidnapped by their mother with us not being able to get any of them back due to her constantly moving states and the generally shit legal system we've had to deal with. They've gone through so much abuse that I can't help but feel incredibly sad and angry over. A new sibling who wasn't around back then has been born in that time, and three of us siblings have become adults over the years. Still, I can't help but think back on this time incredibly fondly with hopes of one day returning to a similar point, all of us together, if only a little bit. For now though, I'm absolutely gonna find where to get this version of the game so I can relive it even a little by myself. Seriously, thank you leakers for not letting this version die completely. The same goes for Legacy Console Edition, that's what my siblings and I ended up migrating to after enough time. I still remember the hell that was 4 player split screen on a small tv and the switching around we'd have to do with 5 of us in the house lmao. Luckily, I still own my copy of that one, including all the worlds made on it.
damn my first night in the demo i saw a skeleton and i closed it so fast i was terrified, in part cause it was my first game outside of pokemon and in part cause i wasnt allowed any violent games. At the time my parents didnt trust putting their credit card on any online webpage so it took me months of begging to convince them it wasnt a scam. It makes me happy to hear adjecent stories about this.
my heart breaks reading this. i know what its like, feeling like your past was taken from you, troubles and circumstances deeply complicating life; you're not alone. while you cant change the past, you always have your present besides, and future ahead. i hope you find what you're looking for, and remember to cherish what you have
3:30 that message was around before minecraft was sold to microsoft. I remember it when I used to play the beta. I believe before that message, monsters would spawn next to your bed if you slept in a place mobs could spawn.
I believe it the actual source code so it’s different in the sense people can now edit the code itself so now it can be played on pc and other weird platforms
@videojuegos9379 Yeah, the forging is already pretty in depth, this will be even better. Plus I'll finally be able to make the waterwheel powered blacksmith I've wanted for ages.
Not a single person who actually loves gaming cares about this game. No matter what happens, it will not have _anything_ on Minecraft, pretty much ever.
This doesn’t even make sense. Minecraft is updated, Microsoft doesn’t just have the Minecraft ip just sit there. They made the fucking movie last year.
At first I thought it was a coincidence that they leaked the source code of Old Console edition, but now I am genuinely believing that this is in response to the ID verification.
@KoolKatzJoey Mojang doesn't have to follow uk law. Just let them ban Minecraft in the uk, no one cares. And move the mojang offices to America, where Microsoft is.
While they do have the right to do this and I can understand taking down leaks of games that they are actively profiting from. But Pocket Edition Alpha 0.6.1? And Legacy Console Edition? Both of them are abandonware, you literally can't legally purchase them anymore. The only way to legally acquire them is to buy a used or new old stock disk in case of Legacy Console or buy an old phone with the specific version of Pocket Edition installed in case of, well, Pocket Edition - both of those paths give zero money to Microsoft, for them there's no difference whether you bought an old disk or pirated the copy of said old disk. The games Mojang actually profit from are Java Edition and Bedrock Edition. It may be argued that downloading MCPE Alpha 0.6.1 sort of counts as pirating Bedrock Edition, since Bedrock Edition is directly based on old Pocket Edition, but only kind of considering just how different pocket edition was compared to how it looks now, it's practically a completely different game. Legacy Console Edition doesn't have modern descendants, so it really is abandonware
4:59 This reminds me of when I was little and I found out that Minecraft used to be called Cave Game when it was first released, which I found a little strange because my only experience with the game was MCPE and I recalled that caves were not added until a certain update.
they were not taken down by microsoft alone. they were taken down by MOJANG. do not forget that. they are not the “perfect” /s indie studio they once were.
People when something bad happens: Microsoft People when something good happens: Mojang They don't wanna realize their beloved indie dev studio has been screwing them around on their own all along; remember it was _Mojang's_ idea to add chat reporting
What’s even better about the pocket edition thing is being able to use chrome Remote Desktop on your phone to perfectly recreate the experience. It’s fucking amazing
5:50 this is not what it does by the way. I used to play that version of minecraft when I was 12 and it spawned only piglins, melons, glowstone and other "rare" items. Also, it created a crazy tall structure that you could mine for netherrack, and the core turned into obsidian iirc
I imagine they're taking down the videos because they show how much better the console UI used to be than the mess that is bedrock's console crafting now
Ah, the nether reactor core... I remember activating it in the top floor of my base and having all my hard work be deleted and replaced with the nether :') Fun times, fun times
Back in the day, someone spread ghe exploit to dupe items in chests by two players pulling them out at the same time. Using that I remember building several nether reactors with my cousin, and getting all kinds of plants for growing. It was an incredible time, because even though our version had less, we still felt special with these kinds of addons. Id love to have a grandpa moment and show someone how it was like, and try to share some of the feelings those times gave me and my family!
With the limited world size that glitch kinda felt like a necessity tbh. When I played pocket edition I'd always worry about the limited resources, I'd always use coal over charcoal, stone over iron, etc
Only real ones will remember the HYPE that surrounded the P.E. Edition when it was revealed that Enchantments and the Nether were coming to that version, this gave me so much nostalgia.
You have no idea how little content there was in that version of MCPE. The next update added buckets. There were no tools in creative so you couldn't attack anything with a sword. Flint and steel wasn't in creative and so you couldn't set off TNT. Worlds were 256x256, but the seed engine is fully capable of generating a full world. There's a mod for java edition that allows you to run the MCPE world generation on a full size world and it's amazing seeing nostalgic seeds extended
I remember discussing with my friends at the time how infinite worlds and redstone would never come to PE because phones weren’t powerful enough. Fun times
God seeing the alpha “portable version” load screen I have been playing Bedrock since before the trees dropped saplings. Ive lost worlds because I ran out of wood. Zombies dropped feathers. Iron couldn’t be smelted. It was wild.
2:09 that is genuinely terrifying, so they can now take down every voxolated game and developers have nothing to do about it bc they are mtfking microsoft? what does it mean for other games like vintage story and hytale? im personaly not familier with Allumeria but my heart is breaking for this dude, to have your game that you invested so much time (and probably money) just snatched away like that..
OMG is this back to the version where the duplication glitch was to hold at least 2 of any item in your hand, look directly down, and just hold tap on the item to drop it, but keep holding so it drops instantly when picked up and somehow duplicates it???? Does anyone else remember that dupe glitch??
4:45 Up until ~2016/2017, you could just hold down the item so it loads a bar on top of it, and releasing it moves the % of the bar as the % of total blocks. e.g. you hold down on a stack of wood, and release the bar at 50% full, it will move 32 blocks of that stack.
Damn, truly a nostalgia. I got it from my friend at a time where I still don't have any internet, via bluetooth sharing. I played it always using only wooden tools. The stone tools are kept in chests to use for later cause I thought it was the best tools there is because I didn't know I need stone tools to mine iron.
Wow, seeing this app on the thumbnail and the first few seconds hit me like a truck. I used to play this version all the time on my grandfathers phone and was able to keep playing because we never deleted it. I remember in one creative world I created this "library like structure" but it was a hell of a lot of bookshelves and red wool. It was one of those "legit bases" where someone would claim to do it normally but it was a bunch of ore blocks or something. I really wish i still had this world
4:45 @PhoenixSC originally a PE player here, if you hold down on the stack, a progress bar will appear which represents a fraction of the stack that will be transferred over when you let go. If there’s less than like 10 in the stack it’s just faster to click individually for precision.
remember back when if you wanted to cheat in an item, you had to exit the world, edit it and set it to creative. Once you had your items, you needed to repeat step one but to survival

@kman33ful did you watched the video???

The Streisand effect is a wonder thing
Every company does it. Just the norm at this point. Also I think it’s just to stop the average Joe from knowing.
@superNova5837everyone already knows about it there is no "Streisand" effect here
its so creators get afraid of thier channels getting striked so it would reach less people though it rarely works

At first I thought it was a coincidence that they leaked the source code of Old Console edition, but now I am genuinely believing that this is in response to the ID verification.

@ChocoRainbowCorn eh you right
@KoolKatzJoey Mojang doesn't have to follow uk law. Just let them ban Minecraft in the uk, no one cares. And move the mojang offices to America, where Microsoft is.
@KoolKatzJoey both are fault since microsoft agrees it like nothing

Just you guys wait, the entire source code for Java Edition is about to be leaked. It's only a matter of time.
I mean...it's mostly out there anyway, they do publish official de-obfuscation symbols, I don't think it covers all the code but a good chunk of it.
@ScooptaIt covers all the code, it just doesn't have comments and scrapped stuff.
didn't it get open sourced?
@AppzyCat Deobfuscated, not open-sourced
@Gandhi_Physiquebasically the same thing at that point, you can see all the code
If phoenix goes missing, it's microsoft okay guys?
they were not taken down by microsoft alone. they were taken down by MOJANG.
do not forget that.
they are not the “perfect” /s indie studio they once were.
My guy even in the early 2010s Mojang did that, stop making them the villains all of a sudden, it's just normal business stuff.

They don't wanna realize their beloved indie dev studio has been screwing them around on their own all along; remember it was _Mojang's_ idea to add chat reporting
@krefcik772my point is, it’s not just microslop. mojang is going bad, too.
No studio, indie or not, was, is or will ever be perfect, so you can stop with that bullcrap.

Ah, the nether reactor core... I remember activating it in the top floor of my base and having all my hard work be deleted and replaced with the nether :') Fun times, fun times
The 7 hotbar slots look so cursed😂😂
4:48 Hold on the block and it'll move by the stack.

I remenber glitch where you just taped the item in the chest and inventory really quick to dupe it.
Spelled it wrong, its “Microslop”
You have no idea how little content there was in that version of MCPE. The next update added buckets. There were no tools in creative so you couldn't attack anything with a sword. Flint and steel wasn't in creative and so you couldn't set off TNT. Worlds were 256x256, but the seed engine is fully capable of generating a full world. There's a mod for java edition that allows you to run the MCPE world generation on a full size world and it's amazing seeing nostalgic seeds extended
holy, I did forget about the no tools in creative, it really feels nostalgic
I remember discussing with my friends at the time how infinite worlds and redstone would never come to PE because phones weren’t powerful enough. Fun times
i remember before you even had chests in mcpe. Had to make storage rooms of iron blocks lmao
Genuinely prob jess than Alpha and def less than Beta.
Ahhh the nostalgia of pillaring up the world boarder and jumping on top of it. Good times, good times.
God seeing the alpha “portable version” load screen
I have been playing Bedrock since before the trees dropped saplings. Ive lost worlds because I ran out of wood. Zombies dropped feathers. Iron couldn’t be smelted.
It was wild.
4:04 “can be used to craft things that can be crafted with it”
2:09 that is genuinely terrifying, so they can now take down every voxolated game and developers have nothing to do about it bc they are mtfking microsoft?
what does it mean for other games like vintage story and hytale? im personaly not familier with Allumeria but my heart is breaking for this dude, to have your game that you invested so much time (and probably money) just snatched away like that..
I remember playing it as a kid. If you build up at the border you eventually hit the limit and can walk on top of the border infinitely (afaik)
What? Damn. I joined like a year late to see a lot of weird shit, lol. Hope people cover mid era PE more.
Original Video Title:
Microsoft is on the move now.
1:14 is this the seed i think it is
WAAAAIIIITTTT
elaborate please
@YariCodesi thought you were a hero, brian
@Xcelsius_ i kinda see it
1:21 "woodern plenks"
"moyang" 🥵🥵🥵
1:38 the old stonecutter block TωT
Yessssss!
ILLEGAL TIME TO BE HERE! But for real, why is this happening, and also, gotta love coders. Great work Phoenix.
Mojang: "Hey! You can't play the game we have absolutely zero monetary gain from!"
1:18 oh wow the nostalgia
OMG is this back to the version where the duplication glitch was to hold at least 2 of any item in your hand, look directly down, and just hold tap on the item to drop it, but keep holding so it drops instantly when picked up and somehow duplicates it????
Does anyone else remember that dupe glitch??
Time to play Minecraft again.
Damn
How did this get first when there was a comment 3 seconds earlier
@SusDoctorwym
Searching for a lawsuit that doesn't exist
20+ single lawyers in your area 😛😂

Up until ~2016/2017, you could just hold down the item so it loads a bar on top of it, and releasing it moves the % of the bar as the % of total blocks. e.g. you hold down on a stack of wood, and release the bar at 50% full, it will move 32 blocks of that stack.
I swear I saw the thumbnail already
I’m under an hour
It’s still up after 4 min 🥳
0:55 at this very moment my youtube app crashed unexpectedly
This is when duping diamonds was ethical for long term play.
God that's nostalgic. Reminds me of when DanTDM broke his hand and played pocket edition cause he couldn't play PC.
This was my very first Minecraft game when I was little (I had PE Lite), and omg the nostalgia wave. Also, Allumeria is back on Steam!
They made a mod of Aether Dimensión for Minecraft Legacy Edition. Try it.
The leak shows what happens when you replace your team with Microslop AI.
As far as i can remember you can climb on top of the world border in pocket edition
Damn, truly a nostalgia. I got it from my friend at a time where I still don't have any internet, via bluetooth sharing. I played it always using only wooden tools. The stone tools are kept in chests to use for later cause I thought it was the best tools there is because I didn't know I need stone tools to mine iron.
unc 💀
Dang, I'm 22 and being called an unc. So this is how it feels, huh?
This is the exact Minecraft: Pocket Edition I grew up with; so nostalgic seeing the old gravel texture (:
Nobody expects the Klaymen!
I really wish i still had this world
The library temples!
4:45 @PhoenixSC originally a PE player here, if you hold down on the stack, a progress bar will appear which represents a fraction of the stack that will be transferred over when you let go.
If there’s less than like 10 in the stack it’s just faster to click individually for precision.
THAT OLD PE UI IS NOSTALGIC AF
how tf do i remeber that, I was like, at most 6yo when it was around
thanks for mentioning the situation phoenix 💖
creaming rn
remember back when if you wanted to cheat in an item, you had to exit the world, edit it and set it to creative. Once you had your items, you needed to repeat step one but to survival
Lemme just download this video
Justttttt in case...
So early that the top comment says "I ate a lizard"
lol
