Stand Up and Shout is one the best songs on this album... and yes, I have this one 😊 it’s one of my favorite movies because Mark Wahlberg has always been my guilty pleasure. 😍
He actually lives about a half hour away from here. Very nice guy--Tim Owens, that is--the original inspiration for the film.
Stand Up. For sure !
Jeff Scott Soto did the vocals for stand up
@@johnbenamati1330 Indeed he did. He's a fantastic vocalist too.
Miljenko Matijevic from Steelheart on vocals. A reaction on Steelhearts "She's Gone" would be nice. Mili is still putting out the music. He just posted a new simple, but solid rock ballad this past valentines day.
He reacted to "Ill Never Let You Go" a few months ago.
Mama Don't You Cry is another good one.
This song is actually a redone version of We All Die Young by Steelheart for the movie, and was initially released in 1996 on the album 'Wait'. When I heard this song was chosen for the movie I was excited for a very lesser known, but very good song to be coming into the mainstream, and the reworked song obviously did not disappoint.
@@susana5052 hey thanks! this is one of my all time favorite movies and Steelheart is one of my all time favorite bands. I did not know that about Wait but I do agree they settled on the best choice! Cheers!
Dude... I LOVE this movie. One of my all time favorites!
Fun fact: the lead singer of Alter Bridge (Myles Kennedy) cameos in that movie as Thor- the Steel Dragon Super fan at the end!
I only watched this movie less than a year ago and loved it!
But this voice is Miljenko Matijevic From steelheart
Zakk Wylde does the guitar
The song is about losing dreams and dying figuratively because we have given up our dreams to the grind
Let’s not forget Stephen Jenkins from Third eye blind also appears on the film as Bradley the singer from the other tribute band Babylon
This movie was released the same time as 9/11 happened. So many rockers in this movie. Zakk Wylde (Ozzy Osbourne/Black Label Society) Jeff Pilson ( Dokken) Jason Bonham from Bonham n ofcourse his dad was the great Bonzo from Led Zeppelin. Also had Blas Elias from Slaughter, and a young Miles Kennedy. Jeff scott soto and Mike from Steelheart do the vocals. Bad ass movie
Steelheart singer one of the best in rock history. Check their song Mama Don't You Cry. He wrote it for his mom when she was dying of cancer. Beautiful vocals on that one.
Out of your mind. Sorry
Great tune though
Awesome!!! Rock Star and Almost Famous are my favorite music themed movies all time. I saw this movie at the theater and had goosebumps when they played this song. I still do every time I hear it. Thanks you for the reaction!
I like them both also. However, Almost Famous is a wonderful film and Rock Star is alright. There is a huge gulf between them. Both are watchable but only Almost Famous is great.
This Singer is Miljenko Matijevic from stelheart
Great song from a great movie! Even though the actual vocal track isn't *Mark Wahlberg* but sung by the composer himself *Miljenko Matijevic* and it's still a good song just the same. I was working in music store (The Record Exchange in 2002-2003) as a manager and this movie came across the counter as a trade I had a chance to take it home to give look. Needless to say I was blown away by it! And yes I thought wow look at *Mark Wahlberg* go ( by the way he did have a vocal coach and sung the acapella parts), plus I liked how they built the storyline from *Tim "Ripper" Owens* true life story of becoming *Judas Priest* replacement singer for *Rob Halford* because the band heard his voice in a cover band. As always looking forward to seeing your next reaction peace ✌️ ☮️ and blessings 🙏!
@@susana5052 thanks for the info Susan! I'm definitely going to try and find these gems!
This song got picked up and was getting a lot of radio play after the movie opened. They were planning a Steel Dragon tour and the following Tuesday was the 9/11/2001 terrorist attack. President Bush put out the word to radio stations to not play any music about death, dying, etc. Well, that stopped all of the momentum that the song had coming off of the movie release. Mili has had the worst luck between that and the 1992 stage accident that nearly killed him and stopped the band in it’s tracks. He is a great guy that God blessed with one of the greatest singing voices on the planet! Thanks for the music Mili!
I never heard of this band or the song but I really enjoyed it. I liked everything about the song. The drums caught my attention first, then the guitar kicked in and the vocals cranked up, great stuff. I can imagine driving in my car and having this song turned up loud. Thank you anonymous for suggesting this song, definitely will go on my playlist. I have two Styx songs to suggest, Eddie, a song written about Ted Kennedy running for president and Miss America, the lyrics explain everything.
The vocalist is Miljenko Matijevic from Steelheart. You've already reacted to a couple of their Mv's . "I'll never let you go" and "Can't stop me loving you"
One of my fave movies! The soundtrack is soooo great!
My Lord, the pipes on this singer, at the same level of virtuosity as Steve Perry of Journey.
MRM - You do a great job of reacting to ALL kinds of music. Love your channel. ❤❤❤
Kenny Kanowski wrote this song for Steel Heart, he passed away suddenly in 2017 st his home, thats why it was dedicated to Kenny.
Sounds like Steelheart to me. IDK who is singing but he is so close to sounding like the singer for Steelheart.
Milijenko from Steelheart did the vocals for this movie.
Um. Because it is lol
I've loved this song since '96.
Mike on vocals again...always great to hear him!
This sounds like the original Steelheart version. They recorded it again for the movie with the same vocalist, but with their new band changing the music a bit. There's some other subtle differences between the vocals as well. Both versions are great, but I think I prefer the movie's arrangement.
You did listen to another Steelheart song a few months ago called "I'll Never Let You Go."
From what I hear it's Zakk Wylde on guitar in this version so I'd assume this is the movie version.
Disfixional that’s definitely Zakk
Miljenko preferred the movie over original, I personally like both versions but I love the original more.
Love that movie! Steelheart is amazing! This is the same band you reacted to that sings Never Let You Go.
Hi from Scotland,my wife passed away 10 months ago,our wedding song was BETTER, by Tom Baxter all i ask is for people to please have a listen to this song as my wife was only 32 when she was taken from me by a drunk driver,God bless you all with all my heart.

Terri Thank you with all my heart for your kind words, music is one of the only things that has got me through this life,my late wife loved music the same as me,if you ever get the chance the song that was requested for my wife at her funeral was Chris Rea Heaven,if you ever get the chance have a listen to this beautiful song, best wishes from Scotland forever and a day.
So sorry for your loss😢😢😢
its on Steelhearts album called Wait, but the instrumentation is a little different
Great song! Hel wonderful artwork!!!
Great movie..I love "colorful"
Kenny Kanowski wrote this song and performed it in his band Chillin Sun then brought it to Steelheart. Miljenko Matijevic had very little to do with it.
This whole soundtrack was Awesome!!! One of my favorite movies... My boi Zakk on guitar.
It’s Steelheart.... the band in the move was named Steel Dragon....but Steelheart is the actual band that sings the song
Rock Star... by Everclear, the title song of the film, is the best song on the sound track even though my all time favorite band has one their songs on there. I met Everclear too. They licensed the use of it to movies creators, but the hardly ever play it live.
My friend that’s actually a remake of the original like most songs it’s done by Steelheart check out the original version by typing Steelheart we all die young original...... and thanks for the props on the song
An awesome song Steelheart does it on their album WAIT as well...his Mike’s vocals are excellent 🤘🏼
Great song! Great movie. Thanks for sharing!
Mijenko and Zach Wylde did things to this song that make the original seem like a relic of the past.
I love this fucking movie
Best album and movie ever!!!!!!
I've commented once and I'll do it again until it's done: Quicksand Jesus by Skid Row! It's a masterpiece! @ModernRenaissanceMan
Matajavic is a beast.
Would love to see you react to disturbed a reason to fight it's an excellent song and as a cancer survivor it has become my theme song..
2:00
You have to hear Home Free “End of the road” cover!!! OMG I just heard it and had to come suggest it to ya!!!
Marky Marks best rap album
Love it!!! Witty.
Mrm you do realize this is the singer from Steelheart?
Its actually Steel Heart which was a band the started in the 80s and this song was written by Milejenko. Metijevic and Kenny Kenowskli in 94. Just keeping real bro.
Check out steel heart. Live stand up and shout
BTW, nice work Hel :)
Zakk Wylde is amazing!!!
I don’t believe Zakk Wylde was on this version of the song. This sounds like the original Steelheart Version to me.
You may want to listen again. No one else plays like that. Is definitely Zakk. No question.
I'd assume by the pinch harmonics Zakk always does that it is him...
Am I missing something? This is clearly not the Steelheart version. The album credits Steel Dragon as having performed the song. Steel Dragon is Zakk, Jason Bonham, Jeff Pilson and in this case Mike Matijevic does the singing. No disrespect, but that is clearly Zakk Wylde playing.
I love this movie mark Wahlberg killed this roll
If you ever react to Roxx Gang, Live fast die young and red rose, I would love to dedicate it to a long lost love of mine Holly. Thanks great channel.
Col video but you need to react to Mark Wahlberg audition. It is way cooler then just the audio.
Faith Hill country singer (Cry)look up please
Play rainbow long live rock and roll the video really kicks
They did a good job on the ending. 😁
Play LOVE REARS IT'S UGLY HEAD by Livin Color.
React to Better by Tom Baxter please.
