These are both clear for demonstration to show how they work. You do not want a clear cloner for any of you asking. Also there is no need to run your pump/sprayers 24/7...1 minute on and 7- 10 minutes off.. This gives the cuttings time to dry and avoids rotting and mushy stems.. Saves energy.. And avoids your water from over heating. The best clone machines use a fogger, you can buy one for about 10 bucks on ebay and still run it for a minute or 2 and leave it off for 10 minutes... Uses way less water and the microscopic water particles penitrate the cuttings much better and don't damage the smaller roots that sprout
They are both similar but I use the EZ Clone. Their lifetime warranty is well worth it. I had a Pump fail after 5 years and they sent me a new one no questions asked!
And the actual comparison isn't really there. This is a sales point listing not a comparison / review. How about talking about height differences? Or the number of sprayers compared to the numbers of sites? Or the type of sprayers, and which one does a better job? And finally, a side by side comparison to see the end results: how the roots look and how long it took? This is what I wanted to see when I read the deception. What about you guys: do you feel fulfilled by this video? 😂
Both models are simple and basic, I personally took the basic EZ Cloner 16 site model and installed a chiller and temperature controller, Bluelab Guardian monitor, insulated the reservoir and cover, and turned it into a "Super Cloner". Roots showing as early as 3-5 days, transplantable clones as early as 7-12 days, depending on genetics. 🌱🌱🌱🌱
Freash air is being brought in w/both units only the ez cloner has the added function of airpump and bubble hose.. if my roots grow into the ater i'd rather have it airated to the max, ask the folks at UC Davis what they think lol. the heat of the ez cloner is being mitigated as the air pump pushes old air out of the unit as more comes in..
Plenty. Are you still having to wait so long to get roots? A couple things that may improve the time. 1st take your cuttings from the bottom. Closer to roots the cuttings are the better they root. Next use s razor blade to take cutting . Sisccors pinch the shoot. Leave at least 2 nodes and abut a 1/4 inch of stem under the lsst node where you cut at a 45 with the razor. It’ll leave you more surface area for roots to grow and scrape the bottom portion up a lil bit to expose the white meat so to speak . Next dip your clone and wipe off access., Make sure your temps and humidity are relatively high. And use very low wattage of very low intensity light. A single T5 is plenty. And above all else use healthy moms . Never take a cutting from a plant having any issues. It could be something as simple as adding humidity or lil warmth around the leaf surface temperature thst will improve your success. Anyway hope I could help. Stay lifted..
spaying it through the sprayers is 100 times more efficient than the bubbles the easy clone is just costing you a little more money for the power for the air pump witch will dray 2 to 5 times more power than the 12 volt exhaust fan
Hey, where the hell is that humbolt ecoclone fogponics thing? It showed up out of no where and then just vanished just as fast. What the hell is that about?
i think the fan is for people that use the turboklone w/ an on/off cycle timer set to "briefly on" and "much longer off". the fan helps bring in fresh air to promote root production during the off periods. this saves way over 50% power usage and avoids spiking the rez w/ heat from a 24/7 pump. and finally, the turboklone uses less water and provides more sites than the other brand. EZ choice.
Ok, so there's a few mistakes already (I'm halfway through the video) 1) the fan on the Turbo Kloner is always on. So it brings in air all the time regardless of the conditions. 2) Those bubbles in the EZ cloner don't add anything to the water because they are not pressurized enough. There's not enough agitation for it to have any effect on the dissolved oxygen content in the water. Even when the water is sprayed, the amount of atomization isn't enough for much oxygen to have an effect on the water. 3) Adding oxygen to the water isn't what this system is about: the roots have access to oxygen by the fact that they are dangling in the air. The water is for all the other things the plant needs - the oxygen is already taken care of. Now to watch the rest of this video...
@@limogesfarmer6326 so when your roots reach the water in 4 days and you have no airstone setup and ready, how do you suggest combating the rot that happens?
I've been using the EZ-Cloner method for some months now but with no success. I've discovered that those stupid collars are too hard and end up strangling soft cuttings. Consequently, I'm in the process of converting mine into a bubble cloner - and I'm replacing those collars with my own very soft ones made out of filter sponge.
I can't believe all the idiot's that commented on this video. Oh is it clear like that? Light isn't good for roots. Oh I think the fan is to take in air when the pump is off. Oh I bought one of these and all I got was brown slime. I purchased a turbo cloner 10 years ago. And I've diy'd 6 more. I've never had any problems with any of them. That one IS about useless - but not for why you say - more O2 IS better, that pump is just lame. Check out the airpump in the oxycloner, Dissolved O2 level is important.
@@dchambers986 oxygen doesn't stay soluble in water at the warm temperatures that plants need to respire very long. They're getting almost all of the air they need from being suspended in the air.
Depends on how big the plants are. Really we change the water about every 5 days to avoid ever getting root rot or having to add h202 every day. Change the water every 5 days and cleaning between runs is easy. Let it grow biofilm and you get beginning stages of root rot and cleaning between runs sucks. If you take cuts they could go weeks without needing water added but man life's been way better since we started changing water every 5 days. 🍻
I used mine for one day only water sprays out the sides and reservoir is small so it stop spraying once all the water sprays out the sides ...I’m very disappointed... I’ll give it away if anyone wants it 🤙🏿
None of theses will keep my leafs alive mist and nice while waiting for the roots grow!?. do not see anything in these gadget that will makes my roots coming out faster.
Why would you make em transparent and on top put airaition in an AEROPONIC cloner.. I mean who are you teaching? First grades with zero basic knowlege to fool'em into fancy cloners? EDIT: Just saw this video is 10 years old.. I guess this was legit back then, even without the roof over the head xD These cloners are hilarious unpractical.
Aeration is for when those roofs touch water . Sprayer is no longer supplying oxygen to the submerged tips - the bubbles will however keep Them oxygenated

What do you do when yours stops spinning and gets clogged
