Hi, The material is foam PVC 8 mm. The watter proof connections are from PVC flat garden hose. All is glued with glue for PVC papes. Use small paper models scale 1:10 till find your good design. Then go to real dimensions. Good Luck!

First of all, Great Job! I had one question, I think you have had 4 or 5 years of hopefuly heavy usage out on the water, how have the zip ties worked and the pvc hose? Have you had to replace them do to usage? Fred
Martin Pozzi All the Chinese suppliers seem to only make 4'x8' sheets. If you look at the Portabote, the length of the sheets they are is one continuous piece. I'm assuming that if you make a contract, that they can definitely make you longer sheets when you buy in pretty large quantities. Sadly not something like you or I would even consider buying. Will have to design it in a way so that it'll fold while still allowing it to be longer than 8' in length. Well actually if you go with only the length of the sheet, it'll be shorter because it won't be straight and it's curved so it ends up being shorter overall than 8'.
