Its like the devs are going backwards. Didnt they nerf sabo BECAUSE of the problem it brought? Furthermore, it takes a lot more effort for a killer to get thier objective than survivors. If survivors get at least 2 to 3 gens done, its still considered a good match. If a killer gets 2 to 3 hooks, its a loss and get mocked by the survivors for it.
It wasn't twitter but OhTofu made a video of him and his mates doing a sabo test and they were just laughing their little goofy heads off. so yeah he was nearly right with his prediction.
If we were to take what saboing does and apply it to how a killer scores, its like having a perk that activates at a generator progressing to 90%, and the killer being able to point at it and say 50% of the progress is reversed now and locks the gen from being touched for some time. It's stupid and in a way another second chance, because what's a killer to do aside from drop them chase after someone else while they revive, or have them wiggle off and get a revive. This game is so geared towards undoing the progress on the survivor side, while killers can only prevent progress.
Just you wait. They buff sabo and when killers start slugging in response you are going to see every other post on reddit be "waaaaaah the killer slugged me. I hate being slugged. Please nerf slugging.". If i see toolboxes after this goes live im gonna have a slugging build ready and waiting and you bet im gonna be slugging the entire match.
@thirsty4souls Absolutely not. Under no circumstances should play styles like that be rewarded. If you're going to bring sabo, i'm going to slug. Actions and consequences. You don't get to then say "please give us unbreakable base kit so that we can sabo with near impunity." That's not how this works. If you're going to beg bhvr to buff awful play styles, then you should be prepared to suffer the consequences and not beg them to come to your rescue.
While i agree SWF is stronger then it should be... You have killers who get 400+ Win streaks. Both sides have the ability to make the game easier for themselves. It really just comes down to which side is more sweaty during the match.
Ok, how do you counter pop exactly? The killer just closes to kick a gen so it's entirely up to the killer. And pain res is literally uncounterable no matter what it does spark the gen and regress it. Sure, you can avoid the scream part, but that's not countering the perk.
Repressed alliance is a pretty good counter to pop. Idk about pain res it might be able to stop the regression but haven’t tested it. Pop is active for 45 seconds after the killer hooks and Repressed is active for 30 seconds once you use it.
Genuine question. Why do perks that killers have to earn the usage of need a counter? The killer is already working on a time limit because survivors can (varies case by case, team by team) do gens at a very efficient and somewhat quick manor. Both perks have been nerfed to their current forms (pop received 2 or 3 changes iirc) For Pop, the killer has to down, carry, and hook a survivor and they only have a certain amount of time to use it. For Pain rizz, you get one use for each fresh hook (4 tokens). The hooks are randomly placed so you might not even get to use the perk. I can't see the logic behind these perks "needing" a counter.
Counters to Pop and Pain Res 1. Don't get hooked. 2. Sabo the hook 3. Body block the hook 4. Rely on RNG to deny the killer getting a pain res 5. Use repressed alliance to block the killer from using pop What more do you want from the counters?
@mudshovle8261 They're different objectives. You are trying to liken The win streaks for swfs Winning and stopping the killer from getting a single hook, all match to The killer doing their normal objective. You can't compare the two. The proper comparison to make would be swfs preventing the killer from getting a single hook and winning verses something like the killer Killing all of the survivors before they can get a single generator. Do you see what I mean? Neither of these things should be possible to win streak. Having either side, be able to win streak With such extreme win conditions shows that there is a huge imbalance.
@@mudshovle8261 We are talking about NORMAL win conditions though. Survivors can win streak just as hard as well. You were trying to compare a normal killer win streak to a survivor win streaking by not allowing the killer to get a single hook. They are 2 different things and should not be compared. Like I said before, if you were going to make a proper and fair comparison then it would be Killers killing all the survivors before a single gen was finished vs. all 4 survivors escaping without the killer getting a single hook. Right now it seems like you are trying to argue "well killer can get a 1900 kill streak by just killing at least 3 survivors (which is the normal win condition for killers), it is absolutely okay that survivors can win streak by having all 4 survivors escape while preventing the killer from getting a single hook all game". That is an incredibly twisted way to look at it on your end.
So what you're saying is, the killer is forced to drop the survivor, who's now invincible and need to start a whole new chase with you. So you made a survivor invincible and denied the killer any gen regression. Seems like a massive win
@@cremlindor6607 not really a win that means 3 survivors off of gens. One in chase one slugged and the other going across the map to pick up the slug. Seems like more of a win for the killer getting two slugs and knowing where 3 survivors are at. Its only good in swf and you all bring breakout and tool boxes. It definitely doesn't happen smoothly like content creators make it seem
