What’s the purpose of covering the trench with plates? Are they going away for the weekend? In my city that trench would stay open and just barricaded off.
They weren't ready to pour yet -- they were doing trenches in batches, covering them quickly so we could drive on them for the rest of the week or month, and then doing the pipes, and later concrete and asphalt, in batches. It was amazingly efficient, we were always able to get our cars in and out, even during the day. Probably the best city projects I ever saw, and I've seen them across the county (unfortunately, just tangential to commuting and where my workplaces were).
What crap you lot in the US speak he's doing a good steady job machine is sitting nice and steady but in uk you wouldn't use a bucket with teeth in amongst services unless you had to and perhaps he has to drive forwards to steer the front bucket past obstacles so don't judge what you can't see
Yeah, seems like people are big critics. As the person living next to this worksite, I will say they did an excellent job, always let me in and out of my driveway (even when it meant driving near a trench or heavy vehicle that was working), and were nice/friendly. And they got the job done quick. Also, I don't seem to have an excess water pressure issue anymore, so it was good they replaced the 1950s infrastructure (the reason for this project).
man I can’t stand shit talkers! He’s getting the job done! maybe he just got bumped to operator! sounds like a bunch of bitter jealous out of work operators!
Sadly, these are the operators that get a city job before good and real hoe hands… set up way to high for no reason, has to pull up outriggers and turn seat around to move forward and proceed digging when really he should be lifting up the front bucket and pushing himself back using the hoe…… gosh this really bugs me.
i haven't been any newer 590 Backhoes so i thought maybe CASE stopped making them but obviously they still do 😂
