Hi! Love this and love your channel so far, especially your adhd videos. I think they’re great for me to relax to and it really help with my wandering mind by focusing on your videos. It’s kinda hard to be able to fall asleep though when I’m watching something, so I wanna suggest trying out an auditory adhd-type-video? I don’t really know how you could do it but stuff along the lines of what sound is this , and some light triggers I also think work for me when my eyes are closed but I can still see the brightness in my eyelids lol.
riffing off of the questions of "how do you know your not hallucinating your own life" i have a similar one. They say your life flashes before your eyes, and time is relative, could you be reliving your entire life in that blink right now and recalling your life?
A thought doesn't go anywhere when you forget it. It still exists in our mind it's just lost from our conscious self and needs a stimuli to retrigger it or to recall the instance of it. Which can happen through metacognition or external/environmental stimulus.
Wow! I always look forward to your next video. This was a bit unexpected, and very cool! Fun and interesting, but also thought provoking. Things to ponder while drifting off to sleep. Couldn't keep away from answering,so here it follows 1.Time began when we came across the phenomenon of past. 2.Yes, Someone realized it's been a while and tries to keep a track,so that's how. 3. Probably at a time when you are about to go to sleep, huge maybe. 4.We discovered math,it was already there,we just devised a way or process to make sense of it. 5.A thought goes nowhere,we just stop noticing it for a while when it's forgotten. 6.Of course we have free will,no one would've taken wrong decisions if it was predetermined(going with the motive that everyone has good intentions in their minds). 7.No,there's no life after death,if you missed out on things when you are tangible, probably you wouldn't be able to do much about after becoming intangible. 8.Dreams are series of unnoticed thoughts trying to make a coherent sense. 9.Goal of humanity is to evolve from yesterday. 10. I'll be remembered for eternity,as a man who lived a life through time till mankind exists,so I guess I'll be remembered. 11.The fruit came first,we made the concept of its color later for our understanding. 12.We decide for ourselves, what's wrong and what's right according to what we like and dislike, going by the sense that right and wrong in this case is of moral value(not of a judiciary). 13. Freedom is one's own choice to be a part of a system which they feel is efficient. Yes it exists because we feel we make the choice,so it probably does. 14.The egg came first.all living beings fundamental building blocks is the cell,so going forward with that logic making a collection of cells in the form of an egg is much simpler and shorter than that of the chicken, when the first egg is formed it itself became a fundamental building block. 15.My choices make me 'ME'. No, answer is based on No.6 response. 20. To it's fullest, whether good or bad, everything I did was my choice, and just to add I'll change nothing given the chance to change, because(response no.15). Complete Control. 21.If we're alive, then I guess the earth is alive as well,as there's no life form anywhere(both literally and metaphorically). 22. Probably because it's familiar(strange). 23.We don't need to follow rules,we choose to, otherwise maybe catastrophic but still we may choose that. And we make exceptions because we feel in that particular situation the existing rule is not adequate enough. 24.I would like to believe it has an end, otherwise it will be very morbid and sad if we never find an end,if we as living beings will end one day,I believe the universe can also. If you've read this far, first of all thanks, and next just in case this was a job interview, will I get the job with these responses? Anyway thanks for your time and have a good day. 😊
A forgotten thought doesn't really go anywhere except back in the recesses of the mind, our subconscious. For example, children that have been abused sometimes can completely put that out of their mind only to remember it later as an adult when they're better prepared to deal with it.
1. Time is a continuum of which we have arbitrarily drawn lines that define events. But in doing so we have done the same as limiting the Sun to the extent of its fire rather than the extent of its heat. In other words, the effects of moments in history are always at play; therefore, nullifying the idea of history itself. The idea of ‘the now’ then becomes much more important since the idea of existence is a flowing continuum rather than a concrete, undulating system of causality and consequences. The question then transforms from when did time start- since time starts whenever we decide it starts, to why did time start. The answer then is whenever the ‘I am’ that preceded the universe became conscious. A seemingly impossible question, but the answer is pretty simple (To clarify, the I Am does not have to be a deity of any sort if you do not believe in that). It never started and never will- a stream of collective consciousness cannot be quantified at this point in time (especially by a scalar quantity of time) and so there is no beginning or end point in terms of humanity and the universe. The question is only valid if consciousness works similarly within the incipient of the universe (the energy or deity depending on your belief). Though we cannot comment certainly- in almost any case, it is rational to say these ‘higher powers’ for lack of a better word, supersede the concept of time. To them ‘the now’ is boundless and cannot be measured within the capacity of human comprehension. TLDR: Time is arbitrary (doesn’t actually exist) so it couldn’t have ever started.
Ok i have to answer the life after death one. I had a massive LAD widow maker heart attack and died on the way to the hospital. There is something, im not really sure how to explain properly, but there is a crossing or a barrier that needed to be crossed. Most peaceful ive ever felt. I am not religious in any way shape or form, but there is something further after death. No lights or such but an awareness and peacefulness of having to get through the barrier.
1. the most science based answer pretty much. it’s always existed way before we developed 2. time was created to measure the speed of point A to point B. it’s always existed, just our way of measuring it has developed
1) Time began at the instant of the big bang 2) We translated existing concepts into symbols we understand, aka discovered 3) Where does light go when you turn off the lights? The neuron patterns that fire when the thought is held stop, and the thought dissipates. It doesn't go anywhere 4) Everything you choose is decided by the arrangement of atoms and molecules in your brain, so free will does not exist. 5) Not for the concept of you, however the atoms and molecules you are made of may be reused after some time as another sentient being 6) We are still unsure but prevailing theories suggest they are the subconsious mind testing new patterns of neuron activation, some of which are similar to existing patterns that we have experienced before and the brain has mapped to existing things. 7) there is no goal beyond the core drive of evolution, which is procreate and expand 8) Irvin Yalon said you die forever when the last person who ever knew you dies. For most, this is friends and family, for some, when recorded memory of your actions and words is erased from existence. Irvin also wondered who that person would be for him. Who will it be for you? 9) If you think outside of english being the only language to exist, then the fruit was obviously named first, coming likely from the scent or flavour of the fruit, and then the word was repurposed much later to apply to the colour too. Theories suggest it was the ancient dravidian word for fragrant, through sanskrit, persian and arabic, then into ancient french and then to english 10) what's wrong and what's right is determined by the societal collective and can be observed with a phenomena called the "overton window" 11) freedom is the ability to say, act and think in whatever way you wish in the moment. And so no, absolute freedom does not exist 12) The egg came first - evolution would suggest there were creatures we would consider to be not chicken, and eventually creatures that would be considered chickens. At some point there was a mutation leading to a creature we would consider a chicken, which came from it's egg. So the egg came first. 13) No widely accepted answer for this one lmao 14) no one dies of old age - it's a commonly accepted blanket term for organ failure as a result of long-term wear. Old is probably 20 years or so lower than the average human lifespan, so roughly 60. 35 is not old jesus christ, see if you say that again when you get there 15) there is actually no way to know. descartes famously suggested that if you can think, then you exist. But whether you exist as a form of thought in someone else's head, or in a computer simulation, or something else, it's impossible (with our current technology) to determine. And if someone were to eventually figure this out, plato in his allegory of the cave suggests we wouldn't want to know anyway. 16) no widely accepted answer 17) depending on your chosen definition of the term, the earth is both alive and not alive, although as a primary definition the earth is not alive 18) can't sleep innit 19) logical fallacy suggesting the presupposition is correct - we do not need to follow rules at all costs. 20) an "end" in terms of space? It is infinite, whether via a toroidal superposition or literal flat space we don't know. But that infiniteness is also expanding. an "end" in terms of time? Depending on whether you believe in the big crunch or not
Contention: as cognition hails from the brain, and molecular and atomic composition of the brain have nothing to do with its function, rather genetics and development. Free will does exist, as your brain makes these decisions and you essentially are a brain inside of a flesh suit. The idea that all choices are reliant on preexisting brain structure is fundamentally flawed, as someone’s brain chemistry and cognitive capacity, although factoring into their choices, are still a part of themselves and a persons free decision making process. Someone’s brain structure doesn’t invalidate autonomy. People’s ability to decide is based on their ability to think, which is based on their brain’s structure. Brain structure doesn’t inhibit free will, it actually does the opposite and fuels it.
Math is both a discovery and an invention, math is a system created/invented by mankind to translate and model systems and objects within our universe (basic numerics, dimension of objects, momentum, gravity, etc) via symbols as you stated.
Earth isn’t alive . Earth is a mass of molten metal surrounded by dirt and soil . What is on the earth and in the earth is Alive. What makes this a debate is the framing of the world “earth” bc obviously you mean it as the ecosystems of our planet . But my definition is gonna be the actual planet we live on. But since this argument boils down to the semantics of how we define earth in our respective sentences , we are both right so long as we both agree we are using different words. Bc when i read earth in the format of the question, there is no objective way the earth is alive .
You should try getting ai to write the questions for you to ask us

TLDR:
Time is arbitrary (doesn’t actually exist) so it couldn’t have ever started.
I love this style of video make more plz ❤
you have the best uploading schedule !!
Who knew existential crisis could be relaxing?
I was sooo curious about your thoughts on the questions haha
As soon as I saw this notification, I rushed to click it
interesting philosophical questions but in asmr format creative asff
Ok i have to answer the life after death one. I had a massive LAD widow maker heart attack and died on the way to the hospital. There is something, im not really sure how to explain properly, but there is a crossing or a barrier that needed to be crossed. Most peaceful ive ever felt. I am not religious in any way shape or form, but there is something further after death. No lights or such but an awareness and peacefulness of having to get through the barrier.
I love my innate resilience, it’s there when I think all is gone
yesss these r my fave vids
Good night rebecca🌃
You should do like an asmr live stream where you and all the people watching like answer questions together
Videos like this help
Watching this while im geeked up hittin
to serve ourselves to self-sufficiency, and then teach that to others in order to help other humans or creatures in general.
1. the most science based answer pretty much. it’s always existed way before we developed
2. time was created to measure the speed of point A to point B. it’s
always existed, just our way of measuring it has developed
"I think time is subjective"
LMFAO 💀
Omg I love ❤️ when you do longer videos 😊
You should do a video of you giving your answers to these questions
I did not have an answer for all these questions, it made me wonder everything about all the questions.
can you do more light triggers in the dark? i love your light trigger videos🫶🏻
def looks like you hit a bowl before hitting record🤣😶🌫️🍃
great vid!
my guess would be the title of one of my favorite AJR songs "Three Thirty"
1) Time began at the instant of the big bang
2) We translated existing concepts into symbols we understand, aka discovered
3) Where does light go when you turn off the lights? The neuron patterns that fire when the thought is held stop, and the thought dissipates. It doesn't go anywhere
4) Everything you choose is decided by the arrangement of atoms and molecules in your brain, so free will does not exist.
5) Not for the concept of you, however the atoms and molecules you are made of may be reused after some time as another sentient being
6) We are still unsure but prevailing theories suggest they are the subconsious mind testing new patterns of neuron activation, some of which are similar to existing patterns that we have experienced before and the brain has mapped to existing things.
7) there is no goal beyond the core drive of evolution, which is procreate and expand
8) Irvin Yalon said you die forever when the last person who ever knew you dies.
Theories suggest it was the ancient dravidian word for fragrant, through sanskrit, persian and arabic, then into ancient french and then to english
10) what's wrong and what's right is determined by the societal collective and can be observed with a phenomena called the "overton window"
11) freedom is the ability to say, act and think in whatever way you wish in the moment. And so no, absolute freedom does not exist
12) The egg came first - evolution would suggest there were creatures we would consider to be not chicken, and eventually creatures that would be considered chickens. At some point there was a mutation leading to a creature we would consider a chicken, which came from it's egg. So the egg came first.
13) No widely accepted answer for this one lmao
14) no one dies of old age - it's a commonly accepted blanket term for organ failure as a result of long-term wear. Old is probably 20 years or so lower than the average human lifespan, so roughly 60. 35 is not old jesus christ, see if you say that again when you get there
15) there is actually no way to know. descartes famously suggested that if you can think, then you exist. But whether you exist as a form of thought in someone else's head, or in a computer simulation, or something else, it's impossible (with our current technology) to determine. And if someone were to eventually figure this out, plato in his allegory of the cave suggests we wouldn't want to know anyway.
16) no widely accepted answer
17) depending on your chosen definition of the term, the earth is both alive and not alive, although as a primary definition the earth is not alive
18) can't sleep innit
19) logical fallacy suggesting the presupposition is correct - we do not need to follow rules at all costs.
Math is both a discovery and an invention, math is a system created/invented by mankind to translate and model systems and objects within our universe (basic numerics, dimension of objects, momentum, gravity, etc) via symbols as you stated.
question for ASMR Rebecca: Are tingles we feel at random or self induced?
I came for the ASMR at first instance but i stayed for the TED Talk 😆
Rebecca definitely blows down
Earth is very alive, it’s always moving and changing and reacting
Earth isn’t alive . Earth is a mass of molten metal surrounded by dirt and soil . What is on the earth and in the earth is Alive. What makes this a debate is the framing of the world “earth” bc obviously you mean it as the ecosystems of our planet . But my definition is gonna be the actual planet we live on. But since this argument boils down to the semantics of how we define earth in our respective sentences , we are both right so long as we both agree we are using different words. Bc when i read earth in the format of the question, there is no objective way the earth is alive .
How perfect is this???? I just opened the app! ❤❤
