Quick Fix: Replacing BRK First Alert 7020BSLA Smoke Alarm with LED Strobe Detector

I installed the same exact model, it started chirping right away, I just switched the small white toggle button in the back of the alarm and so far no beeps. Can you tell what the white toggle button in the back is for? The instruction manual does not even mention it.

Unfortunately you have to buy the entire unit
