My low end PC settings for dolphin Emulator (v5.0)

my first time ever using dolphin emulator and trying to find the right settings for my decent laptop. Been testing tons of settings for MK DD and this worked the best I think! Just some minor stutters but we'll see how it works. Thanks!

Even on a laptop with an RTX 2060 MK DD and FZero GX stutter from time to time running in 1080p. Turning down to native resolution definitely improved things. I was beginning to think my discs being scratched affected the dump, given all my dumps and running of Wii U Cemu games are flawless in 1080p. Turns out asking my windows to emulate a Gamecube or Wii and rendering in 1080p is more complicated than running Wii U which has native 1080p.

@@luxdalet Not really true honestly, i guess you downloaded the wrong version of dolphin. Try the newest Build beta on next try?

@@AntiGrieferGames I did. Same results. It gets a bit better if I run in native resolution. I then tried again on Linux Debian 12, and it actually runs much better. Have options for Vulkan enabled too (same hardware that runs Windows 10).

Resident Evil 4 struggles to run on my low end laptop because of the water and rain animation which slow the game down significantly and the main character Leon runs as if he is on the moon lol.
This tutorial helped speed up Resident Evil 4 much better and I can actually run it in 720p.

Thank you! This helped a lot! I hated how much it lagged when I was on the Wii Menu and selecting channels and now I don't have to worry about it. It still kinda lags when I'm off the window and streaming to Discord. but not as much.

Sorry for the late reply but you're welcome for the tutorial! Also I'm not really sure how to fix your issue due to the fact that only on rare occasions did I use the GameCube side of dolphin, I mostly used it for the Wii and the fact that i havent used Dolphin in a while. Apologies. I do hope you can fix your problem.

So before I watched this video, my game would run at around 16-25 fps normally, but when I went through a loading zone, it would go to a perfect 30 fps. Now with these settings, it's the opposite. My game now runs at 28-30 fps normally, except when there are too many texture effects on screen or when going through a loading zone, in which the frame rate drops. It's not perfect but it's better than before.

Oye amigo muchas gracias por tu vídeo, pero he visto muchos y aún no he podido resolver un problema de rendimiento a la hora de jugar resident evil 1 remake de gamecube, el juego cada vez que paso de zona, o cambio de plano tanto en cinemáticas y gameplay, en el caso del gameplay cada que cambia la cámara fija hay un tirón y un bajón de fps a cada rato, lo mismo en las cinematicas, y aún no lo he podido arreglar :(
