To me, the Note series has always been essentially a Mini Wacom Cintiq that's always with me. If anything, I want a slab version of an unfolded Z Fold 4. Getting rid of the hinge, camera bump and external display, in place for n S Pen silo and bigger battery. Basically, a supersized 7.6" Galaxy Note, long battery life, big enough as a drawing canvas, small enough as a phone (I carry an EDC sling, pocketability isn't an issue, plus phone in pocket gets in the way of manual labour like getting crush when carrying a heavy load). Alas, what I describe is such a niche product that Samsung will probably never make. I just want a small tablet with cellular phone functions and EMR pen support. That's how I end up with S22U; it's the closest product that matches my description. ZF4 inner display's fragile nature gives me anxiety when poking it with S Pen, and my short time at Samsung's showroom test tasting S Pen Pro on Z Fold 4 is enough to tell me that the crease will annoy me (noticeable jank when drawing circles around the crease, the sudden dip does affect handling resulting in irregular pen pressure)
I do agree with you. The Fold crease can definitely become annoying at times. I'm thinking/hoping the expanded phone that has more of a slab base that Samsung is working on can solve this issue. Stronger glass that expands out for a bigger crease-less display perfect for drawing. At least that is the hope I have.
As a pen and ink artist I never understood pressure sensitivity because when you use a ballpoint pen in real life it doesn't get bigger or smaller depending on how hard you press it And you really don't get different shades either, Even using a pencil doesn't get bigger or smaller when you press it, I understand how it can be useful for digital painting and other things but just for drawing I think it's really annoying when it gets bigger and smaller I would only want it to change the opacity not the size
@@KiLLJOY1056 The line of a pen or pencil absolutely changes size with pressure IRL. As you press down, it deforms the paper, resulting in more contact around the tip, resulting in more transfer of whatever you're using, and thus a thicker line. It's not a HUGE difference in thickness, but it's there. And then on the flip-side, if you do your lines very delicately, you will get thinner lines, especially with pencil where with pressure it gets thinner and thinner and more transparent. So pressure sensitivity is important for simulating that, otherwise all you'd have is perfectly thick, with perfect opacity the whole way through, which is not what generally happens with real-life drawing utensils most of the time.
I can't even believe you would ever trade a Z Fold for anything. I think the Oppo Find N Foldable is better, but the S Pen support and functionality is something that you can't find on any other phone besides Samsung, and having all that screen to draw on is like a mini sketchpad. I wouldn't even try to draw on my Note 10 plus. Super uncomfortable, especially with that tiny little s pen. Anyways, Z Fold 4 is a true winner for Artists. I always carry a pen around anyway, so it's no trouble for me to switch that to Carrying an S Pen everyday. As an artist that's a dream phone for me, and I hope someday I'll be able to afford it.
I in the end got the z fold 4. Such an awesome device for art. I do wish there wasn't a crease but on the go drawing and sketching on the fold 4 is grest. At the moment the z fold 4 has not meet an equal rival in that space yet, especially for sketching and art while being water resistant. Thank for checking out the video and you should check out some of the trade in deals that push the fold 4 into the more affordable price range.
@C.Wilson Tyvm, great channel, btw! My dream device is a big phone that will use upcoming rollable technology to turn into a laptop-size screen like the concept Samsung Flex G, but that's a foldable. Ideally a stylus would stow away in the device like on the Ultra phone models and the old Galaxy Note Ultra models for convenience. 🙏
Unfortunately Adobe Photoshop is not available for Android. If you have a Samsung Galaxy Book then yes you'd be able to use the spen in Photoshop. Hope that helps 🙏.
thanks for this! I had such a hard time finding an artist review this phone so this video was perfect :)
No problem at all 👍🏾. Thank you for even checking out the video, much appreciated.

I was very surprised that the s-pen with the S22 Ultra that it had pressure sensitivity.
Great for doodling art.
Definitely great for doodling! A little harder for finishing up projects but definitely for doodling.

Are you going to do a test on the new fold!?
👍🏾 Yep I've been using it on the daily now and should have my review up most likely on Wednesday or Thursday.
Awesome drawing!
1:05 where can i find this wallpaper?
It's on a wallpaper app called walli the creator is Ankurjajoo.
Is the smartphone version of the S Pen actually comfortable to draw with for hours at a time?
@@miscetc-tm2yt No, with larger hands I tend catch hand cramps. Using it in spurts is best.

@@miscetc-tm2yt Now that would be perfect 🙌🏾 and thank you!
Except RUclips and normal movies actually look bigger with the s22 ultra and with no horrible crease
I can agree with that. The crease can become a tad annoying when consuming media.
Is it possible this s pen use in abode Photoshop?
