We just added 3 lavender Orpington pullets to our coop and wow are they beautiful!!!
English or American genetics? All of our Orpington are English genetics. We are up to 10 large fowl color patterns and 3 bantam colors.
Chuckling a little about your reference to the "suburb crowd". I live in GT city limits right now, working towards being able to get my own little farm land but not there yet. Discovered your channel yesterday & binged on your chicken playlist 😂 I got my first chickens last year and am wanting to grow my flock... So I will likely be reaching out. Your chickens are beautiful! Keep up the good hard work. I will be following along to watch your progress.

I'm from England, I think Orpingtons are more popular in the States, I live in Colorado now. I rarely saw them in England. I love them, beautiful birds.

Are they the American Buff or the English? Believe it or not the English Buff is even more laid back and even sweeter than the American Buffs most people have in their flocks.

We actually do have lavender now and want to have blues and blacks in the future. We are not far from the Killeen area.

These are all English genetics. Some of the big hatcheries are starting to carry a few English Orpington breeds but no…you will not find these at tractor supply.

Give me an unlimited budget and several skilled helpers and I will build out the infrastructure that will allow my precious bride to have a chicken empire. But for now.....stop! lol We were brooding chicks in three brooders inside of our house this summer! My office still has dust everywhere!
