- Today I'm sharing a year end review for the 2023/24 homeschool year! I wanted to go through all of our curriculum and talk about how each worked or didn't work for us. I'll show a flip through of each book as I talk, so you get a thorough look into each one. This year my I had a 8th, 6th, 5th, and grader, as well as my youngest who was in kindergarten.

I have a free Pre-K complete curriculum with video lessons for a full year on my channel. Look under the Playlist A to Z. It’s not Charlotte Mason, but I hope it’s a blessing!
Looking forward to the read aloud review!
Great to see your review. I'm looking forward to seeing your curriculum picks. Thanks for sharing.
We use Teaching Textbook without the online component. My daughter just does the workbook👍
it sounds like we're in the same boat--elementary, middle and high school students! This fall i'll have a K student, a 7th grader, and a 9th grader.
Hi, will you do a video on what you’re using for the next school year? I’m interested in knowing about what your 1st grader will be doing as I have a 1st grader as well. We’re changing to TGTB curriculum. I’m so excited! I was doing Abeka but became too expensive for us.
Such a great and comprehensive review!
Hi!
If I’m remembering correctly there was a series of books to teach young children about their bodies. It was a while ago that I remember seeing a video about that. Do you know what I’m talking about?😊
Do you print and bind all of your curriculum?
Did you know there is a schedule in the student notebook for a 4 day a week 33 week course?
Ohh I’m sure I did, I remember seeing the schedule in there. I’ll keep closer track next time!
😊
So when do you typically start in the year?
We go early September to mid June 😊
Loved your thorough review! It's so helpful to hear about different curriculum that I'm not as familiar with or see how you put it all together. And I totally feel you about tugging at your heart strings with the youngest kid being the "last" this or that. It's so hard for me to close those chapters. I'm still not over closing the toddler /preschool chapter 😂 I loved it!
I definitely feel you on the “lasts”! My youngest just finished grade 1 she did level K TGTB too. Yes definitely feel you on that lol!!!
We do our read Alouds in the evening!!! Ever since switching to the evening we’ve been much more consistent! We have a before bed snack so that’s when I do it!
National Parks was our favorite this past year too! We stretched it out for 2 months because we rabbit trailed a ton. I appreciate your feedback on the units. We completed our 4th year with GRH and I completely understand what you mean on some units feeling fatigued where others you don’t want it to end. We also have additional LA only to address specific needs for each of my kids. Looking forward to see what you do next year!
Do you expect all your kids to go on to university? Have you financially planned to help or pay their expenses? If not, how will they proceed post high school?
If any child chooses to go to post-secondary there are scholarships and grants available. they may not choose university and that is a choice too.
