    I have been SEARCHING for so damn long. I wanted to take one output from a function and then send it to another function. I couldnt find any tutorials and the guides online were not being clear on the syntax to do it. But I finally saw an example of this in your video. Thank you Rajvir!
    Now I see that you just need to keep writing "msg.payload" for everything.
    I originally thought you had to refer to the other function like:
    "msg.payload.OtherFunction.Variable" or something. I guess not...tho its kinda weird we dont do it that way.

      Glad to hear that my video could help you :) You can also define an object in your function lets say object named apple and then you can return apple.payload as well. Msg is a default name of the object if you do not define an object. You can check the course Node-RED made Easy to learn more about it. The course is availale at www.codeandcompile.com

      @@thegeterrdone Thank you again. So even when I don't create an object, NodeRed still makes one and its called "msg", and msg is the main way to send data from one block to the next. At least that's how I see it.
      I'll check out the course too because I think I need something more structured for me to truly understand why certain things work in NodeRed.

    hello ....I need to subtract 2 msg.payload entries from a numerical value and obtain 1 output ... could you help me ... I don't know how to designate each msg.payload if they are identical enter the same name

    • @thegeterrdone
      @thegeterrdone  Год назад

      Hi, one way is that you store the value of msg.payload into the flow or global variable and then you can do the subtraction.

    Thank you for the explanations. Pls, do you want to help in showing how to connect the installed modules (such as npm i fhir, or npm i uuid) in node-red?
    This is because, if you pass " var Fhir = require('fhir').Fhir; " in a function node in Node-Red, it'd throw an error. Even after configuring settings.js as specified in node-red.

    Good evening Ranveer I require one help from you. I have a Delta HMI of DOP-B07S411. In my plant I need mirror the HMI display on my laptop. I saw the e-remote server from Delta . But the manual says it requires a Ethernet enabled HMI. Is there any other way we can do it.

    • @thegeterrdone
      @thegeterrdone  3 года назад +1

      That is right, you need Ethernet enabled HMI to get the screen on your computer. There is no other way for Delta HMI without Ethernet. But if you just want to monitor few parameters from PLC, you can actually use Node-red and build you own dashboard for monitoring and control
