- Welcome to Let's Binge Watch. In today's episode, we are going to Binge Watch WandaVision. WandaVision was Disney Plus and the MCU's first Marvel TV show that connects to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And in this video, we are going to go through and review each and every episode of WandaVision.

When you presented the scene comparison and the MoS soundtrack was playing, it kinda elevated WandaVision's fight scene for me lol.

Technically I did say that the actress does a great job and brought something to the role. It was the character that was the problem. Certainly not the actress. She was very talented.
Honestly... I find it hard to watch your MCU videos after seeing you disrespect on everything they have all the time. I respect your opinion, but I will always disagree strongly with your opinion that the MCU is to much of the same.
Same here, while this guy does make some great points and I do respect other people's opinions, whenever he starts talking about marvel movies, he sounds so angry like when he rages about the disney remakes and the new predator film, the difference though is that where those movies deserve the hate, I don't feel most marvel movies should...except for maybe captain marvel, I didn't hate it, I just thought it was meh, also the character herself was a bit bland

Wdym disrespect everything they have he praises a lot like infinity war and endgame and the winter soldier which he gave 10/10's and movies in it that got really good scores like civil war and black panther and stuff that got decent scores like far from home falcon and the winter soldier the avengers and he doesn't disrespect anything it's a simple request he asks which isn't hard to follow and it's what I want to I want the mcu to mature with it's audience because some jokes can just take you out of the moment which happens a lot in the mcu and since when was it bad to hate on Disney for their hypocritical political views and the blatant lies they tell us in the marketing
it's not respecting his opinion. you're flat out saying no you're wrong I can't even watch you. you jsut added the I respect your opinion to avoid any hate. and if you respected it you wouldn't make a comment. and the mcu has confirmed and it's a solid fact they follow a formula. and make everything uniform but they go too far and make it so most directors don't have a unique style.
It seems like you're more concerned about the comedy instead of the meaning behind the show its not made to be a sitcom its made to be the thoughts of a sitcom its what she wants to live like you would have to watch the entire show to understand the show itself
I think that the good plot isnt the important thing but its the way they deliver it. You cant focus on the shows story if it doesnt give you a good experience and just make you want to stop halfway
ooohhh so it's not meant to be a sitcom it's meant to be... a sitcom this makes no bloody sense you're just making excuses. intentionally bad and unfunny humour in a sitcom is still bad and unfunny humour. just because it was the intent doesn't mean it's a good intent you know. sitcoms are based around humour. that' what you judge them on so when it wants to be a sitcom you judge it like a sitcom, the humour isn't good unless you're five and find minions funny still so the sitcom parts are not good. the final episode was just shit I mean that final fight, compare that to man of steel or scenes in the first ironman for fights involving flying and it's embarrasing

What an amazing run down of this show I watched this with my younger brother and he hated it but please can you do a show called invincible it’s on Amazon and it’s amazing so far in my opinion there’s too much gore to watch it with my brother but it is a good show I’m enjoying so far please do a run down of it if you can

@@EricCarter12 As was Series 2 and 3 to Sherlock with Series 2 being my favorite. That ending was gut wrenching and just shows how sympathetic and human Sherlock is. When the Jerk Protagonist trope is down well, it is one of my favorite tropes, but when it's done poorly, it's my least favorite.
Ok, I have a few comments with you Eric:
1.The reason why the eight episode isn't at the beginning is because they wanted to keep things a mystery. If anything, it makes you revaluate the previous episodes because they kinda have a new meaning.
2. You'd clearly missed the point of the Sitcom episodes. They're clearly meant to homage the history of TV. While I do agree that the episodes did overstay their welcome, I feel like they weren't meant ot be that funny, as they represent how shows are pike in those days. Let's be honest, if the writers of Deadpool wrote this like you said in the first episode, it probably would've also overstood its welcome as it probably would've missed the point of the sitcoms.
3. Vision isn't back. When Vision gave those memories to White Vision, it was more like the equivalent of passing you files from your old computer to your new one, or in this case, passing on the mantle to the other Vision.
4. Agatha All Along isn't really that she was behind everything, it was more of a satirical way of saying "Guys you were right! Agnes is that character from the comics!" And the whole "All Along" refers to how she's been basically pissing Wanda off this whole time.
5. Wanda isn't fighting at her fullest because she's in a different state of mind, your abilities don't always rely on stats and sometimes it may rely on emotions (as cliched as it may sound).
6. Im sure Hayward lied about Wanda to make her look worse. His plan was basically like Hans' from Frozen and the villain from The Iron Giant. Although I do agree that they could've done a better job with him in the final episode.
7. Will you just stop whining about jokes about in the MCU. Not only does it just make you petty and a Calliou type of RUclipsr, especially when you don't show examples of how the MCU is apparently childish.
8. All of those lies you said were fault of the media and us, not the show. And even if they weren't from the Media, they were caused by Disney and Mavrel. They never said there was going to be a Luke Skywalker type of cameo. Do your research.

@@abdulazizmerdad4093 Nope. If you look it up, they said there was going to be a cameo, it was just the media that was like "Its Gonna Be As Luke Skywalker in Mandalorian!" when the crew never said that and they were basically hyping people up for nothing.
You are wrong on 7. The jokes are incredibly annoying and ruins the tone of a scene. And he did put it in examples of jokes. When Hawkeye and Black Widow were fighting and Natasha said " We are still friends right"? And Clint says " it depends on how hard you hit me". MCU has been doing cringe humor for a while now and most of the humor usually works and most don't.
@@knightshadowhimself To be fair, with that scene, it's supposed to show that deep down, the Avengers didn't want to fight each other (especially since Black Panther is the only one not cracking jokes, and that's because he genuinely wanted Bucky dead).
This is something I forgot to mention, but the problems I have with Eric's criticisms are that he seems to write the films as bad or generic just because they have humor, saying stuff like "your typical Marvel flick" or "I want Marvel to stop with the jokes" or "they get the joke on and on" which isn't necessarily true. I watched the MCU and only a few times did they have the jokes go for way too long, which isn't enough to say "Oh yeah, this franchise's problem is humor", which isn't bad on its own, but I mentioned Calliou in there because he just goes on and on, its just getting annoying. Not trying to be rude to Eric, but its comments like those that tell that he either doesn't pay attention to what he reviews or doesn't take the time to fully process his thoughts. I really hope he can improve on this, because regardless, I really like his work and want to support, just not like this

@@EricCarter12 actually it was the directors. “Joe and Anthony Russo, who directed Olsen in two “Avengers” movies and “Captain America: Civil War,” previously said Scarlet Witch’s vanishing accent was an intentional creative choice. As the filmmaking duo said back in 2018, “One is you’ll notice at the beginning of ‘Civil War’ that Black Widow is training her to be a spy, and two is she’s been on the run, and one of the most distinguishing characteristics that she has is her accent.”
@@rashrasha921 I don't think that was relayed well in the movie at all. I LOVE Civil War and I have seen it countless times. And the accent lessons is not something that I picked up from the opening of the movie at all.
So I think that is something that they could have conveyed much better.
@@EricCarter12 well I understand what you’re saying, but a scene like that would have been out of place. Nat and Steve were both training her. At the end of age of uktron Nat says “let’s whip em into shape”, in civil war Steve says “Wanda, do what we practiced”, and Nat also gives her spy advice at the start of civil war. I do agree it could have been shown better, but an actual scene showing her practicing just couldn’t really fit in the film.

Have you finished the first season of Doom Patrol yet? If so, what did you think? I’m seriously want to know your thoughts, especially on the episode called Jane Patrol, which is honestly one of the best tv episodes I have ever seen.

Here's something I've thought of. This isn't the only time Marvel Studios has lied and used deceptive marketing to get people to watch their content. When Captain Marvel came out, a lot of the hype for that film was centered around them saying that many of the plot points set up in Captain Marvel would directly impact the plot of Avengers: Endgame. So, if you wanted to understand the 4th avengers film, you apparently had to go see Captain Marvel. As it turned out, that was a blatant lie. Almost none of the characters from that film appeared in Endgame and none of the plot points had any relevance to the plot of Endgame. Even Carol Danvers, herself, was barely in the movie at all; and whatever part of the film she did appear, she was basically pointless. I mean, what did she even do in Endgame that none of the other characters like Thor, the Hulk, or even Wanda could have done? This is starting to raise some genuine concern surrounding Kevin Fiege and the future of the MCU. If they are so confident about the success of their films/shows, then why do they constantly resort to manipulating moviegoers into watching their content? I'm starting to think even they're showing a lack of confidence in their own franchise.
They never said that tho that's just how fan interpreted it they made it clear you would need to go see captain marvel to understand the character, not the movie lmao it would make no sense for some random girl just to show up

While I don't agree with every point you said I can see where you're coming from, but this show was not supposed to be a sitcom, it just addopted the elements of those, imagine if it used animated-comedy shows instead of live action

Dang it. I was kind of looking forward to that Doctor Strange movie. I wanted to see horror.
I like the concept that Wanda/Scarlet Witch is in denial of Vision’s death and that she created a fake world to escape from the real world, similar to that episode of the justice league animated series or weirdmageddon part:2 from Gravity Falls. But the fact that it fell apart like a pile of rubble makes me not want to watch this show. I can already imagine the potential this project could’ve had.
I’m sorry, but your criticism of this show, is an absolute killjoy!! I personally loved this show!

@@EricCarter12 it was AMAZING. So much better than WandaVision. The action was incredible and the character development of both Sam and especially Bucky are great. When you check the show out, I guarantee that you won’t be disappointed.

Because of this (awful) series - im waiting to binge the falcon series and get it done in 1 shot - because wandavision really was a slog after noticing the formula and the filler to build up ratio.......I agree with nearly everything you said! 2 other points I would like to point out - when that bloke shoots at the 2 kids and rambo jumps in- the dude is shooting inbetween the kids......so she didn't have to jump in!!!!!! - and the whole wanda being trapped in a room with symbols.......well that was the evil person teaching her what to do.......to beat her........dumb dumb dumb!!!!!!

Hey if you like it then that's fine. But it really didn't do anything for me. Episode 8 was AWESOME! But the rest was just disappointing and promised so much but in the end had so little. And the recently revealed reason as to why they removed Dr Strange from the show was an ill-conceived reason.
And the boner joke will forever go down as one of the most disappointing payoffs I have ever seen.

I agree with most of this except for the complaint that no-one would know what happened in the battle of the Avengers’ Compound. Like, wouldn’t it make sense that governments (especially SHIELD and SWORD) would want debriefs from everyone who survived?

Hmm, you have very insightful commentary, some of which I disagree with and some of which I agree with. However, there is one critical point that I think you may be missing from your analysis of Wanda Vision. You say you like the serious stuff, but hate the comedic stuff and seem to imply that Marvel just arbitrarily injects this comedic stuff into the story for no good artistic reason. I beg to differ. The "comedic" aspects of the show (in my opinion), are not necessarily there to make the audience laugh, but rather to show the life that Wanda wants to live. She wishes to be in a family that is like the ones she saw on TV. She wants to be at peace where not too much interesting/serious/tragic stuff is going on. THAT's why it is shown so much. She wants to escape her reality of tragedy and loss (which is also the part that you love so greatly about this show). So in my opinion, you falsely characterize sections of this movie as "serious" and "comedic," when in reality, they really serve to function as Wanda's reality and Wanda's fantasy, respectively.
Also, your points on Agatha not being a great villain are interesting. I thought the way they made this protagonist vs villain type of story was very fresh. Rather than their being some villain responsible for the problems in the story, its the protagonist who is out of the loss she has experienced. Agatha is not there to ruin everyone. Ultimately, her evil (though somewhat irrelevant) intentions of taking Wanda's power, serve not to advance the story or make some "badass" villain, but are there to shed light on Wanda's inner struggle of making the right moral decision to not bring Vision back in this fantasy of a world at the cost of others. I hope that made sense and thanks for the content!!!

This series is more of a character series than story. If u don’t care about Wanda then I doubt u will like it as much
You clearly have a bias against sit com style on the nose comedy which you should have mentioned. The “papa-ya” line is exactly something that would be said in a sitcom so you clearly haven’t watched many. I have no problem with you having an issue with the music and shit, or just other writing flaws, but you making the show seem bad because of its main premise (sitcoms) just shows blatant bias against its style. Reviewers can’t have a bias against a certain comedy style and pretend they are unbiased.
that isn't the point he is trying to make, who cares if the papa-ya joke would be told in a actual sitcom, sitcom's are supposed to be funny which the joke clearly wasn't. look, there is nothing wrong with having a show centered around sitcoms, there is no point in the video where he said he did not like or is bias against sitcoms. the problem with the sitcom scenes is that they are not funny, whether they did that intentionally or not it's still isn't funny. this makes the scenes boring with dry comedy and almost no tension (for episodes 1-2 not so much with episode 3) the references to sitcoms, which was nice, it was not entertaining what so ever. That was the point he was trying to make which you clearly miss.
@@myspaghettiroom it’s not supposed to be funny to the general audience it’s supposed to be ironic/charming. I didn’t miss it, he just doesn’t realize most sitcoms aren’t funny. They just portray fun characters doing fun things. Comedy is subjective and therefore it should never be stated in a review to be honest.

It's SCARY how many of your opinions I share. Like, pretty much EVERYTHING in this review mirrored my EXACT thoughts down to the LETTER. Right down to when you mentioned being ANNOYED by Darcy and hoping that the writers keep her "dialed back".
I 💯 agree that the writers relied _WAY_ too heavily on the whole 'sitcom' schtick. Like you, I found myself incredibly bored watching the first few episodes. In fact, halfway through the first episode, I actually began debating with myself on whether or not I even wanted to continue _watching_ the series. For me, the most interesting part of that first episode was the END credits, where we get a quick scene implying that "someone" was watching these events of the episode unfold. It was creepy and dark, and I was both intrigued and unnerved. Ultimately, episode 4 was the REAL episode that got things rolling for me. For me, that episode was a *9/10.*
Ultimately _WandaVision_ was a HUGE let-down. But after watching all 3 of the initial Disney+ series, _(WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,_ and _Loki),_ ultimately I found that they were ALL *HUGE* let-downs. I'm a HUGE fan of fanfiction, and I've read work by fanfiction writers MORE talented, MORE compelling, and MORE competent than the writers working on these Disney+ series.
I liked wandavision but I agree with Eric a lot the only great episodes for me are ep 4,5,6 and 8 I hive but ep 8 is much better then everything else

That was pretty harsh what you did there…. But the point of this show is diversity from the other mcu shows and movies. they didn’t have a sitcom for 8 episodes, they added clues to make it more interesting. You keep saying “it needs more emotion” when the point of it isn’t just emotion, it’s mystery and good build up!
Yeah. You're right. No one would know how that battle against Thanos would've gone. A bunch of superheroes saved the galaxy and brought half the population back from the dead after inventing time travel. No interviews. No follow up questions. No reason any one would learn the details. Totally weird they knew that stuff.
The showrunner Jac Schaeffer previously wrote the films Captain Marvel, The Hustle and the absurdly long short Olaf’s Frozen Adventure. She has also said that the Mandarin twist was her favorite part of Iron Man 3. That alone should tell you everything about WandaVision’s poor quality. I honestly don’t know why I didn’t see this coming sooner.

First few episodes were pretty good but the last couple were weak in comparison to the earlier episodes, I really liked the creepy moments and as you said the reality falls apart and the FBI is trying to contact them was really interesting to me, and it was about Episode 5 or Episode 6 when I started getting more disappointed with the later episodes they just weren’t as good as the early episodes in my opinion.
I just binge watched the entire season... and barely knew anything about it.

I agree with your point regarding the initial episodes of the series. The 1st three episodes were really boring. I felt, I could have watched honeymooners instead and enjoyed it much more. I actually wanted to skip certain scenes to something interesting. But I just wanted to give them a decent chance. The later episodes were still better.
PS - Wanda Vs Agatha was a bummer. Felt rushed, poorly conceived. It would have made more sense if they wrote it properly.
