This man os so charming in his dialogue delivery, just the way he explains and the twinkle in his eyes and he made such a boring subject into such a delightful experience. Best video ive watched in years
I just wanted to thank you for your series on gloves! I have actually never bought gloves before (other than latex gloves), but now I am in the market for some peccary gloves!
I'll definitely be going for Lamb Nappa gloves, loving the petrol blue ones on Fort Belvedere. I'd go for Peccary, however it wouldn't work very well for me because Sydney winters are a bit too warm for Peccary, especially lined Peccary. You nailed my predicament very early in the video when you described gloves that have that spacing in the fingers due to the fingers on gloves being too short which has bothered me for quite a long time. Even latex/nitrile gloves give me that issue which is quite frustrating as I do use them quite often during practical chemistry classes at university.
• The first thing to consider is you want the glove to be tight • The second aspect is the length of fingers • When in doubt, always go for a size 1 different (bigger OR smaller) • The ‘softness’ of gloves is important Thanks for the video.
Excellent videos I just wish you made more of them. I have learned a lot and as a fellow content creator I really respect the quality of the production!
+Picking Profits Problem is, it costs a lot of money to produce them but we are ramping up our production. That being said the best videos can be found here www.gentlemansgazette.com/club/
I just watched a fake leather glove at store today....it looked great....black in color and simple in design....fitting was also great? Should i buy it??
+Adil Patanker Too bad the color is black. I didn't know Goyard now offered gloves. I assumethey are private labelled because trunks and gloves are very different.
+Gentleman's Gazette I wouldn't be surprised. Based on what I've learnt from this series, it was pretty overpriced though I do love them regardless. Of course, a custom Goyard trunk is the dream!
Nice tight fitting quality unlined gloves are a great investment , my opinion is don't be frugal with gloves , it will definitely be one of your favorite parts of your wardrobe (just as long as they fit correctly)....Great video👍🏻
Hey Raphael, what color would you recommend to be the most versatile if a man is to only get one? I usually only wear brown shoes, and wear more of a sport coat (usually tweed) and odd trousers (usually chinos or wool) outfits.
Excellent series of videos! I learnt a lot about fit and style from the ones that I've watched! On the glove part... should the glove be fit even from the wrist down? My gloves fit perfectly on the hand but they get a bit loose as they past the wrist.
Long fingers thin palm here. So you're saying if I choose the smaller size (between the two I'm considering after measurement) they will get there over time? Seems more probable a palm stretching on a wide hand but fingers? I'm in doubt..
Thank you for this video! It helped me find the right size!

A pair of dents gloves feels the stitches on the thumb on my left hand when I put on. Is this a production error or natural occurance since one hand might be bigger than other and I am left handed?
What about the wrist area? How far up the arm is supposed to be. I ordered a nice pair of gloves but im not sure how far up they are supposed to be as it’s my first pair.
is the palm ssupposed to be lose and tight on the outside of hand!? also, the only gloves that are one size fits all are the non leather from dollar tree
I guess I fit the smaller wider fingers..the wide part of my hand is about 8ish inches (tailor's tape how I love thee) but the length of my middle finger from tip to base of my palm is an even 6in so I'll have to get a size 7 1/2 glove right for a real tight fit?
what if the fingers are too LONG? my new fire gloves are 1/2 inch too long on at least thee fingers, and they bother me. The two index fingers fit ok, and one thumb...but the rest are sloppy.
I keep looking but I have never found a glove that remotely fit my hands. For one, my right hand is an 8-1/2 but my left is an 8 Second I have really long and thin fingers (think violinist) I have tried size 9-1/2 and even then the fingers were a bit too short and the rest was flabby. I am handy enough with a needle so making my own glove patterns would fix my problem...if I could find any resources on drafting and or adjusting glove patterns! And frankly, I don't have the money for commissioning gloves.
Dr.Castor I just got some gloves custom fitted by Majesty Black, and they’re depending on your opinion of the word ‘reasonable,’ they’re pretty reasonably priced. You can get a pair of gloves custom fitted for $245 total with free shipping.
Hello! I measure 7,8 but I have a ridiculously small thumb and a long index finger. When I try on a cashmere lined glove, it feels very tight around my fingers and it's hard to bend them. Should I get a size 8 or a size 7,5?
question about sizing. my glove palm width is 8.25 inches, which suggest size 8 or small, however my fingers are longer, Pinky length 2 1/2 inches Ring length 3 inches Middle length 3 1/4 inches Index length 3 inches Thumb length 2 1/2 -3 inches...would I still go with size 8 or small, or should I go up to a med because my finger length?
Thank you at last one-man explain all you need to know about gloves!! Not too much not too little! Well, I put my money here any time!! I missed thou that you put the best 5 you give your recommendation of? right the best quality you prefer and the left cheapest that you recommend. Thank you for the video and the advice :-)
Anybody out there thinking of buying a pair of Honns gloves? Don't. I did, and three weeks later one of the stitches gave out. I contacted them, and here's what they replied: "We do not accept returns/refunds or offer exchanges for gloves that have been used. We apologize for the inconvenience." So basically they have no warranty or quality control on a $150 pair of gloves. Nice going HONNS!!
8'd be for the best. I had a pair of the blue-gray suede gloves in my actual size but they were too loose, after a while, I got the burgundy touchscreen gloves in a half size smaller and while tight they fit much better. After a while, they should mold to your hand shape.
Fantastic video; so very helpful! I keep getting advice to "buy a size larger" from other shoppers on sites like Amazon. My dominant hand measurement is 7" around, and my middle finger is about 2.75" long. To me, these are very small hands! And in fact, I can never find gloves that fit me snugly in stores, where you mostly only find M/L/XL. Women's gloves are generally measured at 6" - 6.5" for Small, and 7" - 7.5" for Medium. If you were me, what size would you purchase, S or M? Thanks.
Our gloves are measured differently. Where others lump the 6" and 6.5" under S and 7"and 7.5" for M, we have gloves available in the exact sizes as those measurements. www.gentlemansgazette.com/shop/accessories/leather-goods/gloves
downside is gloves in my budget that are sold in 99% places i can get to are all small medium large. medium is too big, small is way to small i cant get it on !
Sven: Mathematician here. 1 inch = 2.54 cm. Therefore, if you are measuring in inches and want to convert to centimeters, you *multiply* by 2.54, not divide as you say in the video. Other than that, thanks for a great and informative video.
+Gentleman's Gazette I'd say it's less about not being able to see your clothes, as it is about your face being incredibly close to the camera, which looks too intense and feels very uncomfortable. It's like you're staring at the viewer.

+ZacharyT94 Exactly, we design all of our products with the final use in mind.

Thank you! I'm buying my husband some new gloves and this is just what I needed to know.
I own a pair of your own Peccary Gloves in Gray, and I love them!

Why not? Just know you won't have it for long
Yes. Fake or eco leather is the new leather.
This man has watched the life drain out of another human being at one point in time he just has that look about him
LOL
Thanks for this series. I just purchased black leather gloves by Goyard and I'm in love with them!

Oops thought I put comment in glove video
Will you ever sell anything suede? I tend to pull off suede a lot easier as a high school student due to living in a farming town. Is suede elegant?
I want to find a balance between rugged and refined, generally avoiding the dandy stereotype as its strongly opposed in my area
I'm a size 8, so am I a small or medium size? Thanks!
Hey Raphael, what color would you recommend to be the most versatile if a man is to only get one? I usually only wear brown shoes, and wear more of a sport coat (usually tweed) and odd trousers (usually chinos or wool) outfits.
It's like the second glove in his shop

Hi, do you have any suggestions on how to shrink a pair of leather gloves?
Thanks a lot, very helpful. Gloves are great, and getting a great fit is essential!
Another great video. Thanks
Very helpful and well explained!
is the palm ssupposed to be lose and tight on the outside of hand!? also, the only gloves that are one size fits all are the non leather from dollar tree
@2:08 Why do I feel like this man's thinking of killing me with those gloves hough?😅
Don't have a tape measure just lying around so yeah... I'm just gonna buy these gloves and hope they fit.

What does size F mean in women's gloves ? any idea . is it like m/large in mens gloves ?? i need help here .

Pinky length 2 1/2 inches
Ring length 3 inches
Middle length 3 1/4 inches
Index length 3 inches
Thumb length 2 1/2 -3 inches...would I still go with size 8 or small, or should I go up to a med because my finger length?
What is that glove from the thumbnail? I love the look of it.
Not sure of the brand but it’s made out of peccary leather
What other suitable types of gloves exist for fashion? (I'm not too experienced in this stuff)
Thank you at last one-man explain all you need to know about gloves!! Not too much not too little!

I need some custom gloves since my fingers is kinda weird(specialy the thumb and pinky)
do a summer outfit, what to wear, what shirt what coats, should we replace coat with a vest? do a video on it if you haven't yet, thanks
+Templar Enforcer You might find this article helpful: www.gentlemansgazette.com/summer-suits-cool-hot/
My thumb a big d pinky are smaller than normal so gloves never fit me correctly
I have a rather wide hand with rather short fingers. Always hard for me to find gloves that fit
good fitness
quality lather
If the glove does not fit you must acquit
So if I am a men's M (8 1/2), would you recommend sizing down to an S (7 1/2) - 8)?

I'm a size 8, so am I a small or medium size? Thanks!
Yeah, trust that guy. I bought a large size glove without measuring and it's waaaaay too big. Should have googled that before.
A glove should fit like a glove.

Thanks very much. I'll keep that in mind when I'm buying gloves for my husband.
Good video but made me chuckle when he says, how to measure your hand size... You NEED a measuring tape .... :)
What is a centimeter.
Inches.

Good
Are you french?
tq
downside is gloves in my budget that are sold in 99% places i can get to are all small medium large. medium is too big, small is way to small i cant get it on !
oh ok then, i made a good choice. its fitted in all areas and its just a little tight in the fingers.
I don’t think a single ready made glove size will fit my ridiculous hands, sadly. I’ve never been able to wear a leather glove.
Sven: Mathematician here. 1 inch = 2.54 cm. Therefore, if you are measuring in inches and want to convert to centimeters, you *multiply* by 2.54, not divide as you say in the video. Other than that, thanks for a great and informative video.
I can't even imagine spending $160 on a pair of gloves.....
Damm it! If only Oj Simpson would have seen this video…
Well gosh dang it. My gloves are too big. GoTs tO tAkE eM bAcK
Wow
i dont like that camera is too close to your face, i want to see what you wearing man
+Conan Lee Luckily, we use two camera angles and if you can't see what I am wearing in the other one, I don't know what to do
+Gentleman's Gazette I'd say it's less about not being able to see your clothes, as it is about your face being incredibly close to the camera, which looks too intense and feels very uncomfortable. It's like you're staring at the viewer.
i don't know what your talking about , that's a beautiful face!
Chapstick.
So... according to this video, if you're a vegetarian, you can't be a gentleman.
Sooooo boring
