The most recent tornado California had only touched the ground for a few seconds, and everyone was freaking out about saying “IT STILL COUNTS!” I admire your knowledge and fascination of weather. Your awesome👍
i dont even know if u read these comments anymore and ik youve retold this story but this is one of the first stories in my life that were told so well i was transported into it and legitimately felt something, when i first watched it years ago and still now, especially your reactions and storytelling after ur dad didnt go back home after the bunker
One time when i was in 4th grade, I was coming home from school. At the time i had a fear of tornadoes and I was tornado fanatic. I lived in Utah at the time so I was not used to tornadoes. But when I looked at clouds like a weather fanatic I am. There this cloud over a town 5 or 10 miles away that looked like a tornado cloud. Then it started to really hard. Sadly it was fall so i wearing a sweater. So we ran so fast my dad who about to pick us up, could not tell it was us! We went to the closest short cut with my brother who loved tornadoes like crazy. When watched the weather like crazy, every 10 seconds i checked it. The next day I discovered a tornado touchdown in the town close by. I never seen tornadoes the same ever again :(
I used to live in Oklahoma, and I know all too well the danger of tornadoes... we'd have about 5-6 warnings every April Nice to see somebody talk about them
This video was great! I like how you turned that fear of tornadoes into a quest for knowledge about them! And that where I live we don't have them very much!
every year i go to tuscaloosa and i remember still seeing trees regrowing with new branches and stuff, all of bama was hit hard that day, the one day that brought the auburn and bama together, i was only 4 or 5 at the time but i still remember seeing the tv broadcasts form my house up in Virginia, my family friends live there and the tornado nearly missed north port, the stadium cam gives me chills, knowing that people lives were shattered in a matter of minutes, that’s a crazy day
Yoooo no joke. I actually found you on Twitter because you @'ed my local news about a power outage a few weeks ago I think. But I totally remember this time. All I'll say is I'm close enough to Decatur. I remember my area was left untouched, but I remember how it hit some power plant that knocked out so much power everywhere. My neighborhood was actually without power for a week and 2 days. I remember how frantic that time was. Regardless of all that, it's amazing to hear someone else's story on it all and it not just be some local hick a mile down the road.

I find tornadoes to be terrifying but sooooooo cool. It's just so hard for me to understand how big they can get! The really big ones are super big but they're fat. And the smaller ones are kinda skinny. But personifying them would make the huge ones like a monster.
I can kind of relate to this video. I grew up in Virginia, where tornadoes aren’t common but they do happen. When I was about 4 or 5, I went through a “tornado phase” where I was PETRIFIED of them.
