THANKS FOR GREAT VIDEO MATE! i HAVE EXACTLY PROBLEM WITH THAT PART WHEN I GET INTO SOME HOLE ON THE ROAD. MY LADA LOOSES POWER AND i NEED TO OPEN IT AND RE-ADJUST. THINKING ABOUT BUYING ENTIRE NEW PART AS ITS NOT VERY EXPENSIVE.
I would recommend you to convert to a "electronic ignition" and you will have no more trouble ever. You can buy it as a kit from Lada power. I will release a video on how to do the conversion when I have time.
@@BoldCreator o/ Hi ! I watched Your videos with valve and ignition timing. I have the same niva as you have and im ripping my hair out to make it running. Any chances to get some helping advice?
@@BlindRunner-hc4vv depending on what problem you have? Some times parts can be faulty and are possible to adjust correctly. I had faulty "driving" arm for the ignition distributor. Once replaced I was able to adjust the timing correctly.
Thank you for the video, it is just what I need. But also I need to know which way is advance and which way is retard because I use it on LPG, so I just need to add more advance but marks are for gasoline. My guess is turning it clockwise is advance, counter clockwise is retard. Do you have any info on it?
Very useful video. that is nice and easy to understand. Thank You from an Aussie Lada Niva owner and enthusiast.
