Alan Tudyk is amazing at accents and voices. Should be on the list. Daniel Davis, who played Niles on the Nanny. I was shocked when I realized he was from Arkansas Also, Ryan Kwanten, who is Jason Stackhouse on True Blood, is Australian, and pulls off a great American Southern accent
Kate Winslet was in Mare of Easttown and flawlessly pulled of an obscure and difficult to do southeast rural Pennsylvania accent. I mean she nailed it.
Hugh Laurie, Tom Hardy, Ewan McGregor and I thought Renee Zellwegger was British for the longest time because I love Bridget Jones. Oh and the Nicole Kidman movie was Cold Mountain (Zellwegger won an Oscar for that one).
Kate Winslet is who you're thinking of, in Mare of Easttown. Not only did she nail the accent, but she did a very specific American accent (Delaware Valley) that's very hard for most Americans to do, unless they're from Pennsylvania or Maryland. Incredible work on her part!
My favorite Borat line was when he was on Letterman and Dave asked him what state he was in when he took the driving lesson in the movie and Borat answered "I was happy".
I'm surprised Australian Margot Robbie was not mentioned for her Brooklyn New York accent in the (Wolf Of Wallstreet)! She nailed it, and her Australian accent never came through, go have a listen, it was unbelievable!🤔🤗😲🤠
They put Oldman at the top but skipped over about 10 of his most iconic roles like Stansfield in Leon: The Professional; Zorg from The Fifth Element; Sid Vicious from Sid and Nancy; Mason Verger from Hannibal…
I like Max now, and he’s jumping in the convo more. Mike’s gotten real chatty, saying weird shit like the akee fruit is taking a dump and whatnot. My apologies that I was a little rough on you at first Maximus. This channel is starting to re-gel together and I hope it continues. Yes I still watch Dave and Ash; it’s just another channel to enjoy together. Plus Daz’s whole operation. All you blokes and fam fill up my recommends!
Some people (including the blokes) seemed to miss this was actors only; actresses is/will be another list, and Meryl Streep number 1, probably. As an American, it can be annoying how many British actors are so good (too good) playing Americans, haha!!!
One of my favorites is Kelly McDonald as Carla Jean Moss in No Country for Old Men. She's Scottish, but she sounded just like someone who grew up in Texas. It's excusable not to know that Charlie Chaplin was English. Most of his films were silent, so most people never heard his voice.
Mare of Easttown is the show Daz is thinking about, and takes place in Pennsylvania. Kate Winslet seems to make mostly American films; incredible actress. You’d be surprised by how many British actors are working in American tv w/ American accents. Opportunities are better here.
"He was born in Wales but isn’t welsh" Think about that for a second. Just think. He's still Welsh, just raised English. Gordon Ramsay may speak like an Englishman but he's still Scottish. Lauren Cohan is American but she was raised English. List goes on and on.
Peter Dinklage is not a brit, but has a great british accent in Game Of Thrones, Jonny Lee Miller was the only one of the main cast of Trainspotting that wasn't scottish, but he fooled everybody, and of course Seth MacFarlane Ted boston accent, Stewie Griffin british
Charlie Hunnam has played so many American parts now that I'm not sure he still has a British accent but he started out doing a great job as a California biker ("Sons of Anarchy").
@@BTinSF Then you just don’t have an ear for it, I guess. And I don’t mean offense by that. But his English accent comes through quite a bit. It’s passable, and I liked his performance, but it’s known that accents are not his thing. He got destroyed for his southern English (cockney) accent in Green Street Hooligans. It’s awful. He’s from Newcastle.
Kelly MacDonald’s accent in No Country For Old Men was flat-out amazing. Tom Holland’s American accents are spot on in everything I’ve seen him in, down to the Yeahs and Uhms.
I hate and do not understand when these top 10/whatever number... at the 2-1 spot they say these are the ones that didnt make the list or something like that... and show 2-10 more.. ok, are these better than the number 2?? are they before the number 10?? its so unclear, and just a way to add more, to have likes..
Meryl Streep is incredible in the “Iron Lady.”
Hugh Laurie should have at least gotten an honorable mention for his work as Dr. House.
probably left off since that 1 role is the only thing he's known for which is less impressive than everyone else with multiple.
That accent was too stiff and stilted.
Watch Avenue 5. He keeps having to switch back and forth between accents and it's hilarious.
@@Vendrix86 I knew him as the dad from Stuart Little and 101 Dalmatians long before House. Both with American accents
@@whofactchecksthefactcheckers still, compared to every other name here he's pretty low on the totem pole
"I was born in Wales but I'm not Welsh-I'm English." - Christian Bale
Yes yes yes for #1. Was gonna be pissed if he didn’t get it. Absolutely brilliant actor. My fav. Actor hands down!
Viggo actually speaks about 5 or 6 languages fluently.
Danish, of course 😉
Did his own sword fights in LOTR as well.
Alan Tudyk is amazing at accents and voices. Should be on the list.
Daniel Davis, who played Niles on the Nanny. I was shocked when I realized he was from Arkansas
Also, Ryan Kwanten, who is Jason Stackhouse on True Blood, is Australian, and pulls off a great American Southern accent
'Eastern Promises' was such a good movie. The most terrifying fight scene--with him naked and so vulnerable. Just terrifying.
Holy crap had no idea Gary Oldman was from the UK! always assumed he was American.
Britain really puts out great actors who are great with changing accents
Like half of the cast of the Walking Dead are from England, blows my mind every time I hear them in an interview.
@@billbliss1518 right?
I was a little surprised that Benedict Cumberbatch wasn’t in here…

I'm with Daz. I've known of Peter Sellers since I was a child. Im 54 years old and just now is the first I've learned he was English.
Meryl Streep: The French Lieutenant's Woman, Sophie's Choice, A Cry in the Dark, Dancing at Lughnasa, Out of Africa, The Iron Lady
Hugh Laurie, Tom Hardy, Ewan McGregor and I thought Renee Zellwegger was British for the longest time because I love Bridget Jones. Oh and the Nicole Kidman movie was Cold Mountain (Zellwegger won an Oscar for that one).
Yes Renee Zellwegger often gets overlooked, but she did a great British accent. I am Dutch and didn't know she was American either for years
@@LalaDepala_00 she's a great actress but I wish she wouldn't have had all that plastic surgery. She looks like a completely different person.
Hugh overdoes it.
Hugo Weaving! I almost forgot V

After watching "Band Of Brothers" I was astonished to learn that Damien Lewis was a Brit.
John Hillerman who played Higgins on Magnum PI was the best.
Yeah! I always thought Hillerman was English.
My favorite Borat line was when he was on Letterman and Dave asked him what state he was in when he took the driving lesson in the movie and Borat answered "I was happy".
Jane Seymour does a very convincing American accent.
I can't believe Brad Pitt wasn't in here, his Italian accent in Inglorious Basterds was perfection.
No.
😂😂😂😂😂 BUON GIORNO
He was in the honorable mentions
Wouldn't make the top 10 but I gotta give it to Rob Schneider who cracks me up with all of his accents.
Only half through, but the lady from "no country for old men" is Irish as all get out, but her Texas accent is on point.
I'm surprised Australian Margot Robbie was not mentioned for her Brooklyn New York accent
in the (Wolf Of Wallstreet)! She nailed it, and her Australian accent never came through,
go have a listen, it was unbelievable!🤔🤗😲🤠
Agreed! She was incredible in that film.
Haven’t seen it yet but I hope they mention Damian Lewis, Idris Elba, and Robert Downey Jr.
Canadian actress, Tatiana Maslany, hass pulled some great accents, from Orphan Black.
Take care, and all the best.
This random comment is off topic, but I like Max. He seems to be a good fit for the channel…and he’s funny.
Anthony Hopkins cannot do an American accent surprisingly.
Daz- "King Charles is English?"
Tom Hardy does an interesting accent as the character Alfie Solomon in Peaky Blinders. He plays a kind of Hasidic Jew living in Birmingham, England.
Peter Stormare is pretty good at accents.
RDJ was a dude playin a dude playin another dude. Doesnt get any better than that.

I would say Andrew Lincoln, I would have never thought he wasnt American
Wolverine is Canadian isn’t he? Any comic book nerds out there know? Lol😂
