The REO Brothers were just recording from one corner of their home without sophisticated studio equipment. I hear the unique voices of the brothers, blending and harmonising excellently. How else will you sing this song? I think the objective is to provide joy and a chance to go back down memory lane for oldies like me. If so, they achieved their objective. They do not have a horns section, but the REO Brothers can replicate the horns using their keyboard. How cool is that! Of course, hearing the sax, trumpets, etc. is a different experience altogether. Most famous bands are backed-up by several expert musicians.

The BeeGees are one of my favorite bands. I was already in my mid teens in the 1970's; my favorite song then was "How Deep is your Love". The harmonies that brothers have must be intuitive, e.g. BeeGees, the REO Brothers.
Good question. Of course it’s just a matter of opinion, but I’d prefer maybe a real 3 piece horn section or , if it must be played on keys, perhaps a Rhodes or Wurlitzer or Lyle Mayes/joe zawinul sound. I love strings, but I like real strings best.

I'm more impressed with the instrumental paying than the singing (a bit pitchy thru out). And it's the first time I've heard a singing drummer not sing exactly in time with his own drumming. But it was still fun to listen to.

I know this because all five of them are my chat buddies online so please before you decide to become a keyboard warrior check out your facts first! ... these guys are the most unique tribute band on the planet and the viewing figures and many reaction videos speak for themselves.

Hi Michael, sometimes I can be a little bit critical but I do like them a lot. I love all musicians, I'm a musician myself. I have a soft spot in my heart for any/all musicians regardless of their abilities, fame, etc. Thank you for commenting :-)
