Some non-spoiler information on the Black Omen: Realistically you should expect to spent 60-75 minutes doing the Black Omen for the first time. There are a couple save points along the way. It last boss of the Omen will lead directly to Lavos without giving you a chance to turn back. There will be a turnback point before the final final boss of the game, however. Three bonus dungeons will appear in the world after loading a save in which you have defeated Lavos. These dungeons are more bonus content first added in the DS release. They should take less than 90 minutes each to clear if you are interested.
Congrats on finishing the final side quest! The Masamune and Hero's Badge are the best equipment for Frog. However, if you want to do NG+, it is recommended that you keep the Brave Sword. This is because the Masamune is a plot related weapon, so you will not start with it in NG+. There's another optional part of this quest. Remember the Rogue in Denadoro mountain that threw rocks at you? Now that you upgraded the Masamune, you can go to Denadoro mountain with Frog in the lead. Let him get hit by the rocks, you'll get an item. Like another comment mentioned, you can turn back before going for the final boss. If you want, you can start the Black Omen from the present day, turn back, and do it again in the Middle Ages and Antiquity for a total of 3 times. I recommend bringing Ayla to the boss to Charm some good items from her. Also, if you're curious, you can try entering the Black Omen in 2300AD and see what happens.
You are still missing ultimate gear from the secret room in the Ozzie Fort, it's pretty easy to find. When you get to the room with the guillotine go to the right side of the room and hug the bottom wall to enter a place with 3 chest
In my head I'm laughing at the universe where your opening is instead "Hello all you glorious bastards of the world!" Hahaha. there's something wrong with me...
