I am having a really hard time for things to click with footwork and vines. Appreciate all the tutorials

Thanks, I am glad its helpful. It really helps with vines and footwork to relax and feel the flow of the skates. I find it really helpful to put on some good music on and just try to flow with it and see what you come up with. I have a full tutorial on the "Elements of Footwork" which can help with ideas of different possibilities of moves.

I appreciate the support bro and I am going to keep at it until I can flow with it! Your videos are super helpful as well as the others from the community. Hoping to connect with some freestyle skaters on the east coast USA at some point because no one I've met at the rinks so far even knows this style exists😳.

@@MCrObOt18 Where are you from? the sport is spreading a lot and it's always amazing to meet someone starting it in new areas. We just finished a US east coast tour and met so many amazing skaters. too bad we never got to meet

What I like about these tutorials is that I can come back to them at different "skill levels" and discover something new... it's like depending on what skill lego pieces you already have different infos will end up fitting :D
The thing about these vines seems to be that they are so differnet from "walking" that its really hard to grasp what is going on unless one has some experience - it seems the way muscles and body dynamics are used are just really different (which is part of the fun and excitement evidently).
In any case I sometimes watch these freestyle videos and I see a new move and my brain has no idea how that works, not even a way to remember the steps. Can be really dazzling haha :)
But that I guess that is also why it never seems to get boring, there is just so much in it to try out, discover and reverse-engineer :)
This time around I feel like I could take these sequences to the rink next time - But its also fun to just watch them being performed with style \o/

thank you, yes this is very true. There are so many small movements being done and so many subtle things, this is why everyone has there own style on the ice, the differences in how our bodies learn. Its really amazing and I know what you mean, everyday I watch videos of people doing what seam like simple moves but its so unnatural that I don't even know where to begin. Its amazing and I really thrive off learning these subtle details.

Don't forget to learn the Grapevine before this tutorial. This is a awesome drill to improve your vines.
Here is a great tutorial for Grapevine from Nagyerdei Korisok:

There will be some moves that will be done in more detail and others that are more explaining the drills I do. There is a link to a great tutorial for a grapevine in description. Is there any particular aspects you are having issues with?

@@GlobalIce Grapevine make's those footworks a lot easier. That grapevine move from backward to forward is hardest part of this trick, i see peoples who has problems with it. This channel really deserve more views :)

@@prisnak7082 Thank you, Yes that is the trickiest part to get. I will look into making a tutorial in more detail on the finer points of the grapevine 😁👊
