Especially with the consistent TOP players and defenders: Filipino Champ, Flocker, Rog, Justin Wong (Biggest threat) However, it could be chokes. You have to admit Chris G has a very cheap but intimidating; lethal (With Chris G being a VERY good player) squad. But he's been close everytime and this is the closest so maybe next year?

It's just a very fast paced game, and one that really isn't beginner friendly in terms of execution or just in general. If you ever pick it up, and want to be simply decent at it, prepare to spend a lot of time practicing and reading up.

I think its because MorriDoom is at least an offensive strategy. FChamp's repulsion was only for running out a clock, and there were multiple times in which he still had opening for combos (he got a couple of grabs) and opportunities to mess up Jan's approach but just chose not to play. It was a troll, not a strategy.

Because of ChrisG's dominance w/ Morrigan/Doom during that time it directly helped in improving the quality of play at the highest Levels for UMvC3 because it made other Top-Players create a Neutral game that we now see today in which was almost non-existent in 2012 and 2013. +Jin Kazama That Morgan tactic is boring. It makes sense why he does it of course. But the audience isn't just composed of professional players. Casual people are there too. Basically anyone who likes the game.
It does kill money when people get bored of seeing that. They stop paying to see it.
Money goes away less people want to play professionally. I like this game, and I like how it doesn't stall. And when I see Morgan doing that stall tactic I want the player to loose even more so.

wow.... one question... why is a lot of people H8in on chris g? i actually like chris g. we was a great player in MK9, now switched over to UMVC3. He may have a nasty roster to play against, however its in the game. Not to mention that he is humble, he dont go out boasting like other players. To hell with all you chris g h8rs, i really hope chris g win next year. Also, majors props to justin wong, another fighting game legend, grats on winning evo this year.

Alright pal. If you say zoning is skilless you got another think coming. Champ is more of the gameplaying clown. He tries to make you laugh and have fun at the same time. He is also one of or the best dorms in the world. Chris g pretty much pioneered Morgan money is on the line. So you want to do good. The best low tier player. Will not beat the best high tier player. They want da money or just to win. So they pick the best chars for best chances. So please. Don't jump on the hate train. If you belive zoning is skilless then do it. Fly unfly for morigan to pump out fireballs quicker.
Fchamp beautifully outplayed chris g and jwong. too bad small mistakes cost him both matches. Amazing top 3 this year.

6 years later and tbh Skisonic's commentary is still just as cringe as he was when I watched this live. I dont hate him, but the dude has no game knowledge, hes unfunny, and he seems to take his "color commentary" cues from corny pro sportball announcers. Its like...just...shut up, man. Just shut up.

Justin was in winners the whole tournament. You don't get that kind of luck in this game especially with his current team and the current metagame
